This is video I recorded of a recent tour of the Moog Music Factory in Asheville, NC. Sorry, but I did not get the entire tour filmed.

"It really does remind me of the Octave Cat color scheme...

you can see that I used the membrane now only as artwork. I drilled through the membrane and the chassis control panel. I then rewired the entire matrix to the switches, and terminated that in a ribbon cable, with a connector. I replaced the membrane multipin connector on the left upper panel PCB with a mating connector for the ribbon cable. All the LED function was on the PCB, so that didn't require changes.

Those white actuator UID switches are NOT easy to find!"

This shows the CEM3389 datasheet schematic, with 7 of the DIP headers that form part of the socket adapter on the left, and the basic schematic on the right. NOTE: the resistors used were different than I labeled here!"

Bottom: "CEM3389 DIP Header Circuit Adapter Sockets

Again the schematic, but with 3 views of the completed socket adapter. Basically, the DIP header has a wire which routes the panning CV over to the resonance pin of the IC - note that I cut the pin off the DIP header that went to the resonance pin, because the Studio440 PCB runs that to ground.
On the IC socket, all pins are soldered to the DIP header EXCEPT for the panning pin, which is lifted out to the right. That is then soldered between two resistors, one that goes to ground and the other that goes to +Vsupply. Esssentially, it's a voltage divider that ties that pin to a fixed voltage right about +2.5V which balances the L-R output of the CEM3389. You can see those resistors configured to the socket adapter in the pic."

"An extended audio Experiment with Dual Tiptop Audio ZDSP's and Dragonfly Delays card.A simple pulse waveform is fed into ZDSP# 1 on the left side of the screen. These outputs may be heard in the center stereo field throughout the video. Feedback out from ZDSP #1 is fed out to Audio in 1 and Feedback in 2 of ZDSP #2. A Sine wave is fed into audio input 2 of ZDSP#2 for effect. This creates an interesting and semi-evolving feedback loop.ZDSP #2 is heard in the far left and far right stereo field. Make Noise Erbe-Verb Released

"The Erbe-Verb is more than a collection of reverb algorithms or presets, it is a unique, modeless, continuously variable reverb algorithm with complete voltage control. Typical reverb types such as plate, room, hall, shimmer and others may be programmed by adjusting the knobs. The continuously variable algorithm allows for hybrid and unreal spaces to be found. Traveling between spaces is possible by modulating the algorithm or manually sweeping parameters. More than an end-of-chain effects unit, it's a whole new building block for modular synthesis. Like the Echophon, it's coded by Tom Erbe of soundhack.

Size ranges from "coffin" to "the heavens"

Continuously variable Decay settings all the way to infinite feedback

"Some weird modular space improv noises on a 9U Eurorack setup. Only effect that were used was a Strymon Bigsky that my Piston Honda MK1 was run into and then back into the Phonogene for the ambient melodic parts.

Wogglebug is the master clock

Not the most musical piece, but hopefully some of you wonderful modular people will enjoy it.

"Dance little cat" - on Technics SX-C600

"'Dance Little bird' - also known as the Chicken Dance - was a big hit for the Dutch dance band Electronicas in 1981 and it is known by most people in Europe.
What not so many people know is that the year after Electronicas tried to make a follow-up to their previous succes with a melody called 'Dance Little Cat'.

It flopped!

Electronicas played it on accordion and Elka Concorde X-902 - which is basically an X-705 with accordion buttons. I play it on my Technics SX-C600 organ and the cat sound comes from my Roland SH-2000.
