"Small 6 Panel Buchla system with Oberkorn Sequencer and Octatrack
Jam highlighting the 267e -great for a small system- with noise, filters and random voltages in one panel - doing most of the drum sounds. The 259e is doing the double bass type sound.
The random voltages vary the filter band pass and centre frequency to create the percussion sounds, Mod Oscillator is warping the tone of the 259e main Oscilator for a more 'acoustic' sounding bass note.
The Octatrack is clocking the Oberkorn and providing some bass drum (sampled from the Buchla) and a CR78 type snare."

Playing a Buchla Easel with Strymon pedals - Scappa, Senza, Aria from Forse 3.

Live Video synthesis by Cobramatic using LZX, Jones MVIP and Euro synth modules treating original (plus some hijacked) and live video sources via a P10 and video mixer. Live pattern generation and video feedback.

Sound and video quality are not great unfortunately - this is the majority of the show as filmed on an early digital SLR and an iPhone. (The Distorted audio is from the camera recording - not the audio on the night, there is better Audio on the shorter clip here: https://youtu.be/KaBL6PbPEB8 )

Professional Video/Audio is available and hopefully will follow on another channel - (subject to Copyright).
Supporting Act videos will be posted on this channel in future...

"The RT451 Dual Multimode Filter is available now. The first units hit the US market. Here you can listen to the first stereo demo of the Dual Filter. Two oscillators with sawtooth waves are fed into filter 1 and 2 (all inputs of filter 1 are mirrored to filter 2 inputs as long as no cables are inserted into the filter 2 jacks).
Connecting one LFO to one CV input already creates wide stereo effects when both CV depth are set to opposite values.

"Quick 2 minute no nonsense video of the Roland Boutique JU-06 Juno 106 Synthesizer module being taken out of it's box for the first time and switched on. The soundtrack is a very simple quick pattern played on the module with just the chorus and delay built in effects. Whilst the pattern played I moved the filter Cutoff and resonance to show how the module has a typical 80's sound."

"Another west coast experiment: no resonant VCF modules used (my filters are getting lonely)

-The lead line is Sputnik 258s processed through the Nonlinear Circuits Timbre into the Make Noise Optomix modulated by Maths and various other things
-The bass line is also Sputnik - Timbre - Optomix - Maths
-The percussive stereo Rene sequence is modulated from the straight(ish) clock by using the Wogglebug stepped out and features the Make Noise STO modulated by the Intellijel Rubicon
-The ghostly ambience that occasionally accompanies the lead lines is produced using the Wogglebug ring mod output
-Drums are Patterning - Frohmage
-Intellijel uVCA, Audio Damage Sequencer 1, Pittsburgh Oscillator and 4ms Pingable Envelope Generator were all used for modulation
-And of course the ever handy Division 6 Multiplicity XV: the module which is used in literally every single patch I make"

Once I checked the different blocks, I was ready to go.
Of course I'm only scratching the surface here, cause I played only these 10 mins with the instrument, but I think it's very intuitive, well structured and playable.

The very first minutes are more chaotic, as I never used it before, but from 7:00 mins I'm slowly taming it a bit more. It's getting more quiet and I'm playing only with a very few functions.

In order to live here in peace I have cut out the 20 seconds in question and from 3 min something until 3:30 min you will hear a short break of 20 seconds. Sorry for that!!"

Functionally: everything works 100% and this synth truly sounds fantastic, it's a classic.

Cosmetically: overall very good for its age, missing one small plastic knob on LFO2 VCO pot (the pot of course works fine) and one screw from the right metal side-end."

"It was a pretty chilled out Saturday afternoon.

Here's an impromptu recording of another happy accident jam that fell out of Circuit during a demo in a store in Switzerland, joined with some noodling from couple of other lovely synths.
This is using the scale mode to change from a Major 7th to a Minor 7th. There is a lot of fine and musical milage to be found in the scales page.

This is day 1 of a week longs holiday and sojourn to the studio.... I'm looking forward to what is coming up."

Includes midi, fully functional & in near perfect minty shape. It comes from the original owner, kept in climate controlled storage for the past 25 years and before that in a pro studio with very little use. The graphics are crisp and easy to read. No rusty/mold or worn scratchy pots here, everything plays nice and smooth. You won't find another Oscar this nice! Even includes rare original manual. Very rare 117 USA voltage model with standard USA 3 prong cable. Oscars were made in the UK at most run at 220v, No need to use a transformer with this one within the USA, which is super convenient! If you've never played an Oscar, you are missing out. They sound AMAZING, with a huge set of features for the time, including programmable harmonic waveforms, patch memory, sequencer, an awesome arpeggiator, duophonic capabilities (yes you can play two notes at once) along with the best filter I have ever played, allowing for LP, BP, HP, overdrive capabilities. Huge bass, leads, effects unlike anything else. Easily my favorite monophonic synthesizer of all time, & I've played them all, from Minimoogs to Arp Odysseys to Synton Syrinx. If I had to describe the sound I would say it's instant Boards of Canada, smooth, bubbly, analog with an aggressive Aphex Twin side that can get gritty & rough. Check out the detailed pictures below to make sure you like it. These Oscars rarely show up for sale and never show up in such nice condition. I am open to offers but remember, someone may grab this while you are waiting. Don't let this be the one you missed out on!"

"I recorded a drone to give you an idea how versatile the factory preset wavetables are, middle octave, in which 1 internal and 3 external LFOs are modulating FOUR basic wave parameters of the Waldorf: TRAVEL (quite slow), BRILLIANCE (fast), POSITION (slowest) and SPECTRUM (medium). I chose very distinct modulator speeds in order to enable you to realize how the different NW-1 paramters interact. PITCH constant and NOISY off."
