"I only tried to recreate the arpeggio melody but I think it's pretty cool sounding and stand on it's own. This Moog Mother 32 synthesizer tutorial based and inspired by 'The Blade' by Daniel Lopatin for the movie 'Uncut Gems'."

Note what he says at 1:41. Thought that was interesting.

"Hey Guys,

Thanks again Keith and to all of you who watch my videos, greatly appreciate it!!

"THE CABIN" at Rosen Sound - Synth Studio Tour & Synth Demos

Follow-up to this post.

"An in-depth synth studio tour of 'The Cabin', a vintage synthesizer and music recording studio located inside Rosen Sound in Burbank, CA.

In this synth studio tour, Rob Rosen (owner of Rosen Sound) takes us through the studio and showcases each synth in detail. Afterwards, Eli Goss (audio engineer) performs a number of synth demos featuring a few rare and classic vintage synths.

TIMECODES
===========

* SYNTH DEMOS

As noted on the Rosen Sound website, The Cabin is LA’s largest collection of Vintage Synthesizers available to the public, and home to Rob Rosen’s vast collection of meticulously maintained vintage synth gear. All of the synths in this room are wired to a common patch bay that is connected to high quality DI boxes before hitting Apogee pre amps and converters.

While the room has over 30 synthesizers inside at any given time, there are also many additional options -- including different models and doubles that are stored and accessible directly outside The Cabin’s walls for your immediate use.

Every synth in The Cabin's collection has been carefully curated to bring sonic awesomeness to your project. From all the classic staples to rare modular synths, The Cabin has it all and even more available on standby.

Big thanks to Rob Rosen and Eli Goss for their time to take us through The Cabin and demo some of their fantastic synthesizers!

The deep intro bass sound of U2 "Where The Streets Have No Name"
Moog Taurus analog bass synthesizer pedals from the year 1976
3 presets: Taurus, Bass, Tuba
1 variable and full programmed sound

Used by Genesis, Rush, Asia, Genesis, Police, The Cure, Marillion, Saga, Dream Theater, Pink Floy, Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, Jean Michel Jarre and more

The Taurus 1 use linear VCOs. The Minimoog and the later Taurus 2 and 3 use exponential VCOs. Linear VCOs are the secret for the stable bass sound of the Taurus 1.

ROLAND SYSTEM-100 MODEL 104 SEQUENCER SN 500573

via this auction

"The fabulous and uncommon Roland sequencer from the fabled System 100: outstanding in its own right, or an essential part of your journey to building a full System 100 rig to rival the Death Star. Excellent and full-featured – this is perfect if you seek old school analogue sequence action to spice up your synthlife."

ROLAND SYSTEM-100 MODEL 101 & 102 SN 490848 & 520988

via this auction

"With these two units you get possibly the best synth Roland ever made, without paying silly money for extras you might not need, or have space for. Or it’s the beginning of you building your own complete system. Either way, this is the synth we all seem to be loving the most at Soundgas (and Soulwax say it’s their favourite, and they have ALL the synths). There’s that wondrous filter, and the flexibility of the semi-modular design. And it’s darn handsome into the bargain, which always helps."

Yamaha CS-60 Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer

via this auction

"Just serviced, all pots, switches & contacts cleaned, boards callibrated. Overall external good shape, with some imperfections in panel and tolex as seen in the pics. Almost half a CS-80 at a quarter of the current price of that one. Why are we selling it?, because we also have a CS-80 ;-)"

Half the synth engine for sure.

Nu:Tekt NTS-1 on eBay | on Reverb | on Amazon

"Eager to try out my two NTS-1s - so took them with me on a little walk down through the wonderful Valley of the Waters - several waterfalls 200m below the Wentworth Falls escarpment... there was no real prep for this beyond spending a few minutes sync'ing them the night before and trying some dual arpeggios ... so excuse the rather 'vague' feel to this one, it has it's moments but consider it a trial ...
