M2Synth Sequencer 192 Testing - Tangram Cover

video upload by John L Rice

"I recently finished building the Sequencer 192 kit from Soundtronics’ M2Synth modular line. đŸ„ł In the back of the manual they have a tutorial on how to program the opening sequence for Tangerine Dream’s famous piece Tangram. It was a good way to get to know the sequencer better. (I dialed in the synth sound from memory so I’m like way off! 😊)

Kits will be available soon in MOTM and MU compatable formats on the site and prebuilt modules will be available on the site."

See the Soundtronics label below for additional posts.

Clavinetic! For Hohner D6 Clavinet and Moog Voyager

video upload by R. Reger

"Original piece showcasing the classic Clavinet sound. There's a section with a wah pedal, but it's mostly straight clav, double-tracked with a touch of delay and chorus on one track."

Into Analog NatLife

video upload by NatLife Sounds

"Buy Link:

NatLife Sounds releases Into Analog for Arturia Microfreak digital synthesizer.

Everyone knows very well how much the sound of Microfreak is saturated with digital. And it is precisely the dense sound that is missing in many sounds supplied with the synthesizer, as well as from third-party sound designers. NatLife tackled this and squeezed out the most harmonious sequences saturated with analog warmth.

You will get a bunch numbers of modern Melodic Techno sequences, as and beautiful Synthwave & Trance Plucks just in one package. Plus real harmonic FXs, Chords, powerful Basses & ARPs. The soundbank contains all types of presets, and it's can be used for any kind of music production.

Soundpack contains:

50 Presets
42 Sequences"

Short Waves - SYNTRX and Korg SQ-64, NTS-1 Synth Demo

video upload by Robert Saint John

"Here’s a short poppy piece summing up my weeks of experimenting with the ins and outs of the @EricaSynths Syntrx, the @KorgOfficial NTS-1, and the SQ-64 sequencer. Two paraphonic tracks from the chain-patterned SQ-64 via CV to Syntrx, and a third via MIDI to the NTS-1 equipped with @Sinevibes very cool GROOVE DSP drum machine engine. Ring mod on Syntrx with OSC3 and the messy input from a shortwave radio for some grit, all out to the NTS-1 for reverb and delay. Recorded direct with Roland GO:Mixer Pro X."

Hardware Jams Weekend Challenge: Periodic Table...Element: Oxygen (WIP)

video upload by SynthAddict

"Maschine+ with some special guitar libraries (just sound samples - I did all the playing).
Inspired by a song I loved as a kid… Sweet’s (or The Sweet’s) Love Is Like Oxygen - not a cover, just heavily inspired with a surprise inside.
I planned a lot for this jam, and ran out of time to make all the parts to jam with, so this is the WIP version. :-)
Maybe Mendeleev and Avogadro are smiling somewhere…"

Crumar DS2 Synthesizer

via this auction

"Completely serviced by wellknown dutch top tech (with invoice)
Great state, great sound and complete with lid/hardcase.

The DS-2 is basically a monosynth with an added 44-voice polyphonic strings section. The DS-2 uses DCOs (digitally controlled osc.) making it stable in tune. That isn't to say it can't sound can. Especially if you use the polyphonic string section and apply some slow LFO modulation to the pitch. This is a very big and good looking synth with a lot of knobs for instant hands-on control. And you don't need a hardcase, it's built into one. Just lift the cover and there it is.

It has two nice LFOs, one with S&H and staircase waveforms. You can use either or both LFOs for modulation of Osc 1, Osc 2, VCF and the VCA. Pulse-width can be set manually or modulated by either LFO. The VCF is killer, it has a nice Moog sound in it that fattens up the sound. The two ADSRs are very fast so there's no problem making bass and drum sounds with it. It has an external input for processing other sounds through its lovely filter too."

Dreadbox Hades Reissue - Bass Synth - Sonic LAB review

video upload by sonicstate

"It's no secret that we've enjoyed the synthesizers from Greek synth makers Dreadbox. Their instruments have a certain something that makes them stand apart.
The Hades is the reissue of the original 2016 Analog Bass Synth. With a single oscillator and their unique resonant filter plus the OTA Drive, the Hades has a lot of character.
We take a look.
