Rest in Peace Ozzy
One of my favorite tracks.
Mr. Crowley by Ozzy Osbourne from the album Blizzard of Ozz (1980)
Featured the Moog Minimoog, the Logan String Melody II and the Roland VP-330
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers."
OZZY OSBOURNE - "Mr. Crowley" 1981 (Live Video)
video upload by Ozzy Osbourne
"Ozzy performed "Mr. Crowley" live on TV in Rochester, NY in 1981."
With what appears to be a Roland RS-09 mkI. And the brilliant Randy Rhoads on lead guitar. I hope they are together again.

I'm going to miss him. Thanks to RetroSound for the post.
Oberheim OB-X8 - SM Lush Analog Keys
video upload by Scott McAuley Sounds
"Patches will be available at https://www.orano.co.uk/shop or http://www.synthsounds.co.uk
**Reverb Used is Specular Tempus**
This Patch named "SM Lush Analog Keys" will be included in Explorations Volume 2, this one really shows how rich and full the OB-X8 can sound. Sometimes Less is more, and this patch keeps things simple but just lovely and not achievable on every synth with such depth. This is exactly why I love this synth so much!"

NINA Multi Track Sequencer 2.1 Firmware Update: Melbourne Instruments Analog Polysynth Groovebox
video upload by Melbourne Instruments
"NINA's multi track sequencer firmware 2.1 is out now, NINA is no longer just a synthesizer — Unlock a standalone groovebox for beatmakers, producers, performers and sound designers. A groovebox for dynamic and expressive performance anywhere - studio or stage. Great for generating quick new ideas or work some amazing complexity into your music. This is all powered by NINA's raw analog oscillators, ladder filter and wavetable oscillator. Not forgetting the revolutionary motorized knobs that snap to life for hands-on, tactile interactive control, now you can feel your sound. Whether you’re crafting beats or complex melodic patterns, this next-gen groovebox workflow unlocks a completely new way to create.
All sounds and patterns in this video were created solely using NINA.
Key Features of the Multi-Track Sequencer:
• 4-Tracks—up to 64 steps with independent length per track, for polyrhythmic sequencing.
• Per-step Automation—front panel parameters can be locked per step.
• Polyphonic Sequencing — up to 12 voices available spread across 4 tracks.
• 64 Noise types — percussive hits, metallic textures, buzzes and digital percussion.
• Motorized Automation— you can see the front panel move, turn automation on/off.
• Time-based features —shuffle, micro-timing, clock multiplication, variable gate lengths, and probability.
• Perform patterns—recall and chain up to 16 patterns.
• Internal Storage for more than 4,000 patterns.
• Save a pattern with all sound and sequencer data in save into a single file.
• Standalone operation— no other gear required. Of course NINA works well with other gear too!
• New features include: timing quantization, clear notes and clear steps.

Minimal Ambient w/ Electric Kalimba, Prophet-10 : 40 Degree Glassland 2025-07-22 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A piece for Lottie Canto electric kalimba and @SequentialLLC Prophet-10—minimal ambient built from simple harmony and kalimba melody.
The electric kalimba (Lottie Canto’s Colour Palette) runs its onboard delay, with additional reverb from @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MK II. I toggle Micro Loop and use the CLOCK control to pitch-shift along the way.
The Prophet-10 uses a slow-attack, slow-release pad patch. Its output goes through @strymon blueSky for reverb."
When modules grow limbs: ADDAC's Servo
video upload by Electrum Modular
"Checking out Servo, a unique new module from ADDAC Systems. It can turn knobs or trim pots on a modular, synth, pedal, mixer, or anything else that’s small and cylindrical and that lacks a cv input. Perfect for when your hands are busy doing other things, or for when you want slow LFO-style modulation, or for when you want super precise stepped adjustments.

"At ADDAC we always admired the geniality of Neil Young’s Whizzer, way ahead of it’s time, a great example how great ingenuity and engineering can come together to make something great. Inspired by it’s motor controlled method we created a 4HP solution to control any knob that doesn’t have a CV input, while also possible to use for other gear as well (within certain distance constraints).
We use a Servo motor which is a specific type of motor that can be digitally controlled to go to a precise angle. This motor is controlled by a microcontroller that also receives an incoming CV voltage from 0 to +5v and lineary converts this voltage range to the 270 degree Servo motor range.
Using a spring wire and metal couplers the motor shaft is then attached to the target knob to be controlled which will turn as the Servo turns.
Two other knobs [MAXIMUM ANGLE] & [MINIMUM ANGLE] further allow to control the “sweet spot” of the target knob, setting a smaller Servo range.
Raising the [MIN ANGLE] knob above the [MAX ANGLE] knob inverts the Servo range.
We can't stress enough how important it is to read the whole User's Guide thoroughly for this one!

"Features:
'Program' input accepts line level or mic-level signal
Reversible rack ears for rack mounting or desktop use
16 frequency bands normaled input to output (i.e. without any patching, the input volume of a given frequency band in the "program" signal will control the output volume of that same frequency band). But input bands can be rewired to control different output bands via 1/4" patch cables (not included) on the front panel. This can be used to create "robot voice" and similar effects.
Sample & Hold
1/4" input for pedal (not included) to switch S&H on or off
Ditto to switch between the normaled patch and a custom patch
Ditto to bypass the vocoder entirely

The cables on back almost look like Graffiti.
"A rare opportunity to buy a Fenix 2D and rare sequencer 3
The 2D signature is the best sounding one. I had the 2 as well but sold it after i heard the 2D. This one is based on cem oscillators also the delaytime is longer. Based on vactrols . it sounds amazing. i put them in beautiful walnut cases and thank god no adapters but just euro -plug. It comes with original manuals /boxes and banana-cables. Also lots of rare spare-parts for both machines. This synth had nothing to do with the PP wich has different chips and also different then the original 2.
Both machines only 25 each where made."

Rob Papen WirePluck Introduction
video upload by Rob Papen
"New plugin synthesizer for PC and PC.
Please note that this product is part of the eXplorer-10 bundle!"
via Rob Papen
"WirePluck is a new synthesizer created in the tradition of the Rob Papen brand, which is known for thinking outside the box with innovative musical instruments. These are all possible now due to the amazing power of today's computers!
At the heart of WirePluck are the three layers made up from four selectable source synthesis types, which allow you to create new synthesizer pluck sounds! And nope... the focus is not in recreating real acoustic instruments, but creating new inspirational sounds!
The user interface has been laid out in the Main screen in a way that allows for fast editing using the most important parameters, selecting different ARP presets, and selecting the ‘Advance’ screen on which all available parameters can be tweaked.
The 1st source synthesis type for each layer is ‘Wire’, a newly developed sound source that sounds a bit like hitting a wire.
The 2nd source synthesis type available is ‘String’, which uses a custom Karplus physical modelling synthesis.
The 3rd source synthesis type is ‘FM’, which is a 3-Operator FM (phase modulation) synthesizer. A unique addition is that each Oscillator also has a Pitch Envelope Decay control, which is uncommon in classic FM synthesis, but great to add extra pluck to the sound.
The 4th source synthesis type is ‘Wave’, which is a 1 Oscillator subtractive synthesizer lineup featuring an array of various Filter types.
All of these different sources can be combined in the 3 layers of course and each layer has its output routing.
The included FX inside WirePluck are ‘Distortion’ with various types, ‘Modulation FX’ which are Chorus, Flanger and so on, a Stereo Delay, and our top-notch Reverb!
WirePluck also features a fully featured ARP, an extensive Chord Memory section, Modulation Matrix and of course our cool ‘Ribbon Controller’.
Last but not least, we have added a bank manager, including many great presets by Rob himself and other sound designers!"
