One Synth Challenge: A Full Trance Track using only Prophet Rev2 and MPC One.

video upload by Just Hardware Sound

"I challenged myself to create a full trance track using only one synth. Every sound you hear was created on the Sequential Prophet Rev2, except for the 909 drums. Some sounds are live from the Rev2, while other sounds are multisamples of the Rev2, sampled on the MPC One.

I'm currently working on a soundset for the Prophet Rev2, which will later be released at: justhardwaresound.com"

Track: Waves (Yamaha EX5, PEAK, MPC One, Guitar, Vocals) #retrowave #synthpop #chillwave

video upload by Floyd Steinberg

"Here's some music that I consider to be a good use of #synthesizers . Guitar by @XavierRadix , Vocals by Zaeli ( https://www.fiverr.com/elisabank ). No gear reviews, no talking, just music. ;-)
This started as an exercise to get the filters just right on an EX5 patch, and quickly evolved into this. Bass is from Novation Peak, MPC One is used as a sequencer and drum computer.

4/26/24 (UP) Chopin’s “Nocturne Op. 9, no. 2” + Akai ME20A + Roland Jupiter 6 & RE-301 + Midiverb II

video upload by Cfpp0

"The Roland Jupiter 6 is in UNISON mode. YLF plays the left hand of Frédéric Chopin’s “Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, no. 2” as chords into the ME20A, with the playback pattern set to UP, which results in a recognizable arpeggio.

(YLF #7, Alesis Midiverb II #49)"

4/24/24 (YLF 4, Op. 9, no. 2) Roland Jupiter 6 & RE-301 + Akai ME20A + Alesis Midiverb II

video upload by Cfpp0

"The left hand of Frédéric Chopin’s “Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, no. 2” is translated into a sequence by the Akai ME20A MIDI sequence arpeggiator and played back on the Roland Jupiter 6 (cross modulation). The Jupiter 6 audio output goes into the Alesis Midiverb II, with the input overloading. Tape echo from the Roland RE-301 is applied on the Mackie Onyx 1640 mixer."

4/26/24 Chopin’s “Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, no. 2” according to Akai ME20A & Roland Jupiter 6

"YLF plays the left hand of Frédéric Chopin’s 'Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, no. 2' again, but this time as chords, which the Akai ME20A translates into a Bach-icized sequence. The Roland Jupiter 6 is in SOLO mode first, until it is switched to POLY-1 at 1:17, with some wiggling of filter cutoff and resonance, and the sustain and release on envelope 2, throughout the video, particularly towards the end.

(YLF #6, Alesis Midiverb II #46)"

I Saw Tooth

video upload by Kaffimusic

"This is a video I have made for a live music video 'challenge' at the German synth forum sequencer.de. I won with that. But there was nothing to win but experience and honor.
The center of this setup is the MPC One. It plays just midi pattern that I composed beforehand for the GS Music E7, the small Roland and the Novation Peak. The Kurzweil is not controlled, but the E7 runs through the audio ins and is used as a FX processor with delay and reverb for the E7. The PC4 is just played with internal sounds here. Switches and sliders are either set to control internals, the E7 or the fx. I progammed a multi that is able to play the sounds via switch and control the fx as well.
The last pattern is a respectfully stolen melody of Ehsan Gelsi. The whole style of this live sequencing is the technique he shows in his videos."

"Akai S900 MIDI Sampler works properly, usb upgrade, software 4.0. AC 120V-60Hz-42W

The S900 sampler is Akai's first truly professional sampler, released in 1986. Its sampling specifications were pro-quality at the time: 12-bit stereo sampling, 7.5kHz to 40kHz variable sampling rates and a maximum of 63 seconds of sample time at 7.5kHz. Up to 32 samples can be created and stored to disk along with any edit settings. This is one of the first rack-mount samplers to use a built-in disk drive. Although the drive could load sounds while you play, it was still a very slow process."

Old School Vibes! 💙 Breakbeat Jam!

video upload by Electronisounds Audio

"I specifically did not use any VOCAL SAMPLES in this jam as that is kind of my trademark style - to always have a vocal sample that gives the jam or track some kind of "identity" (in my opinion). I don't do a lot of Breakbeat Genre jams, so we'll see if they can still guess it's me! Hahaha

Whatever kind of music you are making - KEEP IT UP, Friends!

Ring The Alarm for AU/VST/AXX, MPC Desktop & Standalone

"Originating in the vibrant dance halls of Jamaica, the iconic Dub Siren - a creation born from a simple oscillator - has been the heartbeat of ska, dub, and reggae music.

'Ring The Alarm' resurrects this tradition, offering you an intuitive yet powerful plugin to infuse your tracks with sirens, synth rises, and mashed-up effects.

ESK - Akai MPC 5000 + Ibanez RM-60 Mixer

video upload by Metunar

"Again a jamsession with the Ibanez RM-60 mixer. This time all sounds are from the Akai MPC 5000 sampler.
Lot of fun to do this video but also i had to learn again, that the Akai MPC 5000 is buggy like hell.
Used the internal delay effects as well as a Lexicon PCM 90 effect for reverb.
With mastering.

ESK - Akai MPC 5000 Delay Looping 2

video upload by Metunar

"Looping session with an old Viscount R64S PCM drumcomputer, ASM Hydrasynth and an Akai MPC 5000 Sampler.
Was again a lot of fun to do this video.
What I did is to use the 4 effect buses of the MPC 5000 with delays with high feedback. So it’s like a 4 channel looper. Interesting is to change the delay time, that results in some digital stutter effect, which are nice.
My Viscount R64S (same as R64) doesn’t work with sync (needs s-trigger clock), so i started and set the tempo manually. Furthermore I used a Filter after the Viscount R64S, because the 50Hz hum was quite loud.
But I like a lot the sounds and the preset beats of this sample drummachine.
No external effects, only soft mastering.

♫ Jamming With a Bunch of Synths ♫ ----- (79)

video upload by

"This jam is a little weird. My phone was on low battery which made the video slightly glitchy. I was a bit distracted during this recording so it's maybe a bit more boring than usual. There is also a couple mysterious audio drop outs near the end of the video. I didn't notice these prior to uploading so it's possible something went wrong when combining the audio and video files or something.
