Mother Brain Boss Theme (Super Metroid) - Live Synth Cover

GLASYS

"Here's the Mother Brain final boss battle theme from Super Metroid arranged and performed live on my synthesizers + finger drumming controller.

I've covered a lot of Metroid recently and I was actually planning to move on to something else, but this haunting theme was stuck in my head and I felt compelled to play it. It's fitting for the times, I suppose!

This track is available as a high quality audio download for my Patrons:
https://www.patreon.com/glasys

Technical details:

All sounds performed live simultaneously (no pre-recorded material or overdubs).

The left hand horn / bass sound was programmed on the Sequential Prophet XL even though I'm controlling it from the mini keyboard on my Arcadia controller.

The right hand spooky sound consists of multiple layers: A pad created on the Prophet XL, a few stacked / detuned church organs from HALion Sonic and SWAM Trombones (the latter being mapped to one octave only). All these layers are pitch-swept simultaneously using an expression pedal.

Drum sounds were programmed with Native Instruments Battery 4.

The intro sound is played on the Arturia Microbrute which is running through Chase Bliss Audio's Thermae and MOOD pedals. The 'wet' knob on the Thermae is all the way up which is why there's a delay between what my fingers are doing and the sound you hear.

Hope you enjoy, thanks so much for your support!"

GLASYS ft. T-Pain - Brinstar Underground Depths (Down For The Count) // Super Metroid Hip Hop Cover

GLASYS

"I finally collaborated with T-Pain! On a Metroid cover no less.
Download / stream here: https://fanlink.to/glasys_tpain

3 years ago T-Pain commented on a video of mine on Reddit and said he wanted to work together. We spent some time in the studio and went back and forth on a few different ideas, but nothing really happened until I sent him this Super Metroid live cover / remix of mine which he loved and immediately agreed to add vocals to.
This is the "Lower Brinstar" theme from the iconic 1994 Nintendo SNES game. I tracked my part live, playing all the sounds simultaneously. T-Pain then wrote lyrics and added some awesome vocals and harmonies in his signature autotune style.

I decided to release this track together with my other video game covers as well as originals that I performed in YouTube videos. The name of the album is "Off Screen - Video Recordings" and you can find it on most platforms (the Bandcamp version has the most tracks because not all the covers could be licensed for streaming).

You can also get a high quality download of this track if you support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/glasys

Hope you enjoy!

Arcadia Electronics

A new DIY synth maker with a new upcoming mini organ based additive synth. You can find them at https://www.arcadiaelectronics.com.

1. PLL 4046 Organ Synthesizer 4 minute Jam
Here is the PLL Organ after being redesigned, soft keys, new layout and calibrated for better tone and user interface.
2. LFO Low Pass test, PLL Organ Kit
Assigning the multi wave LFO in the PLL Organ to the Filter makes a cool addition and opens up a lot of hidden classic Synth sounds. My favorite the sample and hold settings.
Same LFO can be assigned to do vibrato as seen in the previous demo.
Thanks for watching !
3. Testing PLL Organ Synth Kit first test
This is a new Cmos Organ I’ve designed, with love to Italian sixties organs. This is 24 keys keyboard it has 6 octaves, vibrato with six wave shapes , optical Tremolo,Delay,Filter with resonance,Touch pad , headphone output, amplified output (connected here to a small speaker) line output and can be powered with 9v Battery.
