"Creating new tunes with the new Aira Compact J-6 almost feels like cheating.
It contains a lot of arpeggio styles and all the chord progressions and harmonies for past, present and future music: it's up to you how to put them together and create new cool songs.
Korg NTS-1 and norns shield are the perfect couple to create cool digital soundscapes and FX: I love them.
Boss Dm-2w is one if the best analog delay stompbox I've ever had: it sounds huge and creamy and it adds that warm analog texture to anything you put through it.
This song was born while I was just playing around with these little boxes, I hope you like it!"

"An amazing device playing the Fall script.

Fall simulates falling leaves that slowly move down, controlled by wind and gravity parameters. Once they reach the bottom, as displayed on the display and the grid device, a note is triggered.
Leaves can be added and removed. When leaves move by each other they can trigger a rustling sound.

Audio and Midi recorded into Ableton. Midi from Norns is also used to trigger a Piano and Scarbo from Teletone that run in parallel with the Fall sequencer."

"Hi, hello, good day. Here's a very chill video in which we create a fun generative sequencer with Teletype+Just Friends that is being clocked and processed by the Qubit Nautilus. It's awfully pleasant. I also drink tea, talk about Cormac McCarthy, and almost swallow the dynamic mic that I chose for this informal recording. What's not to love?

"@Meng Qi 's #Wingie 2 is one of the most deeply gratifying instruments i've interacted with in the last few years; it feels personal, intimate and experimental all at the same time. when i began sketching, i missed being able to add notes from a lower octave, while keeping most of the melodic content in the upper registers. so - i went out and got another Wingie 2. they make a beautiful pair together

for this piece, i tried to push the Wingie out side its usual familiar territory, and it responded very well. both Wingie's are receiving input from the monome norns awake synth; the black Wingie resonating an octave below the silver one, subtly, with a shorter decay time. i also added some color to the original sound from the wingie; the silver wingie is going through an electro-harmonix big muff guitar pedal (just off camera on the top). there's also an mxr dyna comp pedal (also slightly off camera) that is boosting the right-channel of the silver wingie.

there's also a norns shield (next to the silver Wingie), running an arp from Awake, tempo-linked to the standard black norns. ironically, the norns shield display went to sleep sometime before i started recording.

the expressive e touché is controlling the filter cut off of the norns awake synth. as the cut off changes, the wingie resonates accordingly.

lastly, there's digitakt for rhythm. yet another wonderful instrument that never fails to deliver.

this piece was a bit outside the usual for me, but so are the times we live in and everything i'm experiencing. i hope you enjoy listening."

How much I love changing with my hands the level on the stereo image using differente LFOs.
And this is what I’m doing here!
Belong from Barcode script is sending the main sawtooth-ish noisy drone sound to the entire system, heavy modulated by two different LFO’s from @mutable Stages. @noiseeng Desmodus Versio is always at the end of my patches, because of its incredible power in creating the magical atmosphere I always need.

That’s it, simple but effective.

Here you can hear "Fall", an incredibly sounding script from @Ambalek _: pink noises and triangle waves meet the magical flavor of @Noise Engineering Desmodus Versio, creating the main atmosphere of the jam.
@mutableinstruments Plaits is going into Beads, both modulated by Monsoon Looping Dealy for some juicy little distant grooves on the stereo field.
I just love this combo.

Handmade Glitches (Musikraken iPad Hand Tracking + Monome Norns Fall)

"Here i‘m trying to utilize the handtracking features of #musikraken app on iOS to use hand gestures as midi source for creating glitchy bits. Layered on top of a generative soundbed coming from #monome #norns loaded with Fall script. A connected #OxiOne acts as a grid. Next to the sound coming from the Norns, it‘s also sending midi to the iPad playing various synths (#Aparillo, #VHSSynth and #Zeeon) at the same time. The straight beat is coming from #playbeat3 while the glitchy bits are coming from #fractalbits. The hand waving gestures are not only triggering midi note events but also modulate additional FX (#koalafx and #dedalusdelay), e.g. the distance of the second hand towards the ipad camera is controlling the comb filter of Koalafx and the opening of the first hand is controlling the delay feedback of Dedalus."

an afternoon exercise with kria sequencing whimsical raps justfriends and the makenoise sto with sparks from mutable instruments beads.

at one point during the performance, my entire arm covered the frame while i was adjusting the filter cut-off on the whimsical raps three sisters, so i included some amazing clips of the sky that felt right for the music for that section.

"Another threshold of noiz crossed...500 improvisational noiz sessions. A soundtrack for the denizens of the darkest times of the night. For this session I wanted to show how one of these noiz and video occurrences comes about. Starting with a blank slate on some machines and a bit of environments on others like the norns. The choice of machines and pedals is always evolving so it usually starts as a random convergence of happy accidents. Finally, after all of the noiz is designed...the video aspect is created. In this case the three camera views become the source. Hopefully the viewer can get an idea of how this all evolves. These sessions will continue...possibly not as frequently...but I never know. "Very little use, latest firmware, runs on Raspberry Pi 4B, faster and more memory than OG Norns. Ships with USB-C power adapter and 16gb SD card. The encoders are a little jumpy when turned quickly, and only on the PARAMS page, which I’ve learned is a common issue and can be rectified by editing the appropriate Lua file. Cheers!"
