Taking its cosmic inspiration from star charts and ancient astrolabes, STAR SONG is a rotating optical disc-programmed sequencer with a built-in minimalist synthesizer.
STAR SONG can be used either to play its own built-in pulsewave synthesizer, or in combination with the A.M.P. electronics WAVE EXPANDER (sold separately) to drive external analog and modular synthesizers.
HOW IT IS USED To create sequences on STAR SONG, the seven translucent rings (orbits) of the optical disc are marked with a marker (included) or opaque tape. The disc is removable and additional discs are sold separately, allowing for indefinite storage of your favorite sequences.
The outer six rings control the tuned note selection and note-on/off sequencing. The innermost ring controls the cut-off frequency for the built-in bandpass filter.
Disc on/off and disc direction are toggled from touch contacts on the front panel, and disc speed is controlled from the central rotary control.
Additionally, there are 1/8" inputs to control rotation speed and rotation direction with an external source.
The addition of WAVE EXPANDER makes the STAR SONG into an incredibly versatile GATE (6 channels) and CV (1 channel) sequencer, as well as providing the STAR SONG’s tuned audio oscillator over five separate octave divisions (four audio and one sub-audio), 12 outputs in all to integrate into your modular system.
Multiple STAR SONG units can be synced by using an external clock signal, and you can even slave STAR SONG to your existing MELODY ORACLE/WAVE EXPANDER combo.

"Dressed in their signature banana jack-laden wooden enclosure, the Peterlin is Ciat-Lonbarde's take on the Benjolin: a tribute to the synthesizer designs of Rob Hordijk. Deceptively simple in appearance, the Peterlin is a highly interconnected instrument containing two oscillators, a resonant lowpass filter, and Peter Blasser's take on the infamous Rungler circuit. Clocked by one oscillator, the Rungler is a shift register feeding upon not only its own output, but also listening to the output of the other oscillator to further influence its data with feedback chaos. As the Rungler's CV output is then fed into the oscillators and filter, a range of hefty drones and chaotic noise is possible. Of course, the Ciat-Lonbarde take on this classic experimental instrument is filled with its own mysteries.

Brain zaps are sensory disturbances that feel like electrical shock sensations in the brain. A person may also notice a brief buzzing sound and feel faint or black out momentarily. Brain zaps can happen when a person decreases or stops using certain medications, particularly antidepressants.
The Sine voice has a VCA knob, Distortion knob, and Pitch knob. The Distortion knob effects the waveshape of the oscillator. At the low end, the waveshape is triangular. Midway it is Sine, and at full, the oscillator is squarewave. The Sine VCA knob sets the offset of the VCA, and can be used as a volume mix knob when other modulation inputs are not in use. The Sine VCA can be modulated by any combination of the LFO, Pad EG2, and the Sine Pattern bank EG. The Sine Pitch knob sets the offset of the Sine VCO, and can be used as a pitch control when the VCO is not being modulated. The Sine Pitch can also be modulated by any combination of the LFO, Pad EG2, and Sine Pattern bank EG, however, the LFO and EG2 can only modulate one or the other; VCA or Pitch. Likewise, Pad EG2 can only modulate one or the other; VCA or Pitch. When Pad EG2 is set to Pitch, the Pitch knob sets the depth of the envelope. The Sine Pattern EG is triggered by the Sine Pattern bank. The envelope modulates the Sine VCA, and can also modulate the Pitch. The Bend knob sets the depth at which the envelope modulated the Pitch. The decay of the envelope is controlled with the Decay knob. The decay can be modulated by the LFO via the Sine Decay Mod switch, however the decay has to be set longer, as the LFO can only shorten the decay time of the envelope.
The Noise voice has all of the same VCA, Pitch, and modulation features as the Sine voice minus the distortion knob. The Noise voice is derived from a "LFSR" type pseudo-random-noise generator. The pattern length of the LFSR can be set to one of eight lengths. The shorter lengths are more harmonic, while the longer lengths sound noisier. When the LFSR Select switch is pressed down, the touch pads can be used to select the desired LFSR pattern length. A number below each touch pad represents the corresponding pattern length.

The Dope Box contains a preamp that can be driven into distortion and a active LPF. It has rate controls to allow you to slow it down til all you hear is strange, stretched out digital bits or speed it up til it sounds like a skipping compact disc. In the right hands it has limitless creative possibilities.

Dual Negative Slopes both in cycle mode. One providing a variable voltage source of which to be sampled. The second is simply clocking the S/T&H. Output of the S/T&H is being fed to the VCO Freq Modulation input. Audio is just direct from VCO’s output.

"The Pocket Garden Listener is a portable random control messages generator from biometric signals and it’s meant to be the compact and desktop version of our Garden Listener eurorack module.
It detects conductivity variations on living beings’ surface and transforms them into MIDI notes, ranging from C-1 to C8, and CV signals (0 – 5V). Its behavior can be tamed through the one-knob menu from which you can choose and modify:
probes’ sensitivity (making it more or less sensitive to current variations); scale (chromatic, major, minor, indian and arabic); MIDI channel (1 – 16); LEDs’ brightness. USB powered.
MIDI data are simultaneously transferred:
via USB, to control DAW plugins and sequences; via TRS, to control any other gear with a MIDI port; Equipped with Trigger, Gate and Control Voltage to control modular and semi-modular gear.
Conductivity variations are detected by the Probes Input and converted into MIDI notes in real time according to the Main menu settings.
