The Vintage Synthesizer Museum Doc - A "Living Museum" where otherworldly sounds come to life!
video upload by Helium Vision
"In this episode of Helium Vision, we invite you into a world that hums with the strange and the beautiful—the Vintage Synthesizer Museum (VSM). Founded in 2013 by the avid synthesizer historian Lance Hill, this “living museum” exists in a space where the past and present come together to offer an immersive experience into the magical world of sound. It’s not just a museum—it’s a place where visitors and artists can disappear into their work, perform in a unique atmosphere, or learn the art of synthesis.
Initially opening its doors in Oakland the VSM is now nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, this space has since witnessed the presence of many modern visionaries—Damon Albarn, Egyptian Lover and Neurosis, to name a few—each leaving behind their own distinctive imprints.
Come with us, as we step into the otherworldly corners of the Vintage Synthesizer Museum and uncover the tales of the instruments that dwell within.

Minimoog Prototype Exhibit Coming to the Moogseum For One Weekend Only!
via The Bob Moog Foundation
"We are excited to announce the Minimoog Prototype Exhibit at the Moogseum for one weekend only. The exhibit is offered in partnership with the Museum of Music Technology (MMT), which proudly stewards the four prototypes as part of its vast collection of synthesizers and other music technology in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. The temporary exhibit will take place November 14th - November 16th, 2025, marking the 55th anniversary of the first Minimoog being shipped on November 19, 1970.
Members of the MMT staff will be on hand to answer questions about the prototypes. Tickets are $16 per person. The Moogseum is extending its hours to accommodate the interest in the exhibit, and will be open from 10-6 all three days. Advance ticket reservations are strongly encouraged.
The Minimoog began in 1969 as the “Min A”, a five-module unit created by R.A. Moog Co. engineer, Bill Hemsath, to provide easy demonstrations for the larger famed Moog modular systems. Just over a year later, and after three subsequent iterations and the involvement of several engineers, the Minimoog was in production.
Come learn about the fascinating progression of this iconic analog synth, talk to the people who understand the deep history, and see the four ultra-rare prototypes in person!
Reserve your tickets here."
Also there's one week left to go on the Bob Moog Foundation Fundraising Raffle For Vintage Minimoog Signed by Todd Rundgren [link to video].

Maciek Polak "Synthi 100 non-tunes"
video uploads by analogia pl
"All tracks were recorded between July 16–18, 2019 at KSYME (Contemporary Music Research Center) in Athens on their Synthi 100. I call them "non-tunes" because they were never intended for release. However, since someone asked about my Synthi 100 experience in Athens, I asked my colleague Marcin Bocinski (legatomastering.pl) to mix and master the recordings."

Exploring A Massive Closed Down Musical Instrument Factory. Finding Some WILD Things.

Abandoned Factory Find - Does This High-End Mic Still Work?
video upload by HAINBACH
"This summer, @LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER went to Italy and were kindly allowed to explore the old Bontempi Musical Instrument Factory in Potenca Picena. A massive building and once an important part of the industrial infrastructure of the area, it has been decaying for two decades now and is home to swarms of pigeons. Most of the inventory is sold off, but we still found exiting remnants of the glory days in the rubble. Check out Sam’s video for a full tour, and stay tuned to what I found, as well as bit of history later."

Hainbach Introduces outta-control Italian Synths!
video upload by Anthony Marinelli Music
"When I visited Hainbach at his amazing studio in Berlin, and he introduced me to a whole new world of sound—rare Italian synths that completely reset my thinking. The Farfisa Polychrome is hands down the best string machine I’ve ever heard, with rich choir and synth textures and a built-in phaser that sounds like no other effect I’ve used. The Webo Welson (late 70's) is a rockin’ beast with ripping oscillators, tearing portamento, and beautifully saturated presets that just ooze character. And then there’s the Realton Variophon Gig—a breath-controlled synth that lets you shape the timbre with your mouth. It’s expressive, has rich variable noisy modulation goodness, and is unlike any vocoder or synth I’ve ever played.
Hainbach really opened my ears to a sound palette I didn’t even know existed. He’s a very generous to hang with, and I left his studio totally inspired to create new music. You will too."

Improvised Jam on Iconic Vintage Synths!
video upload by Anthony Marinelli Music
"Fresh off Superbooth 2025, I dropped into the Synthesizer Museum in Berlin for a rare, fully improvised performance on their legendary vintage synths—including the Yamaha CS-80, two ARP 2600s, and a Roland Jupiter-8.
Joining me was my longtime friend and Vienna-based artist Felix of Flame, playing his custom FLAME drum and percussion instruments. Together, we dove into a one-of-a-kind sonic journey—shaped by texture, tone, and the moment.
No script. No presets. Just raw, analog expression—captured live!"
