"Back again with another deadmau5 cover for my first video of 2018! This one is of Brazil (2nd Edit) from Random Album Title, performed using analogue synthesizers and drum machine.

BARx - Game On! (Live Version)

"More of a proof-of-concept than anything, here's the live version of my new track Game On!, which straddles the Chiptune and Complextro genres.

In this video, I did my best to perform as many parts from my track as possible, while still maintaining the integrity and energy of the original, with a couple artistic deviations to set it apart from the original (including a very obnoxious synth solo lol)

You don't often see many acts performing EDM live in the traditional sense for a number of reasons; some producers simply aren't competent musicians (or musicians at all), and even if they are its still difficult to play all parts (or as many as possible) with enough precision to make it convincing.

Apologies for the sub-par lighting and somewhat-awkward camera angle, I did my best with the limited resources/space I have to work with at the moment!

I always told myself that I would never remix a deadmau5 song, because I didn't want to ruin it. However, I decided to finally "ruin" one of my favorites, 4ware! Went with a downtempo 80s synthwave feel on this one; hope you enjoy!

Hardware used in this video: Korg Minilogue, Behringer Model D, Arturia Keystep, Novation Launchpad, Yamaha YPG-635.

In addition to the synths listed above, I also used some software synths including Korg's M1 emulation, Sylenth, and Dexed."

My take on the beautifully wistful "Lost Painting" from Symphony of the Night. It's been a while since I made some straight-up Synthwave, thought this theme would be a perfect fit for that dreamy nostalgic vibe.

I used a new camera to shoot this video, really pleased with how it came out!

deadmau5 - There Might Be Coffee (BARx 8 Bit Cover)

"Hey guys! Decided to try something a little different this time; here's an 8 Bit style cover of There Might Be Coffee by my favorite producer, deadmau5!

All synth parts were performed live by me using my Korg Minilogue and Korg MS-20, and the percussion/drum parts were sequenced/recorded using a Gameboy with mGB and hooked up through a Teensyboy, along with some post processing in Cubase.

"Its been a while, but I'm back again with another 8 Bit cover, this time its the boss theme from Final Fantasy IV! (also known as the Culex theme from Super Mario RPG)

Branched out a bit more with the instrumentation this time, and I'm using both my Korg MS-20 and Korg Minilogue, as well as a Gameboy hooked up through a Teensyboy for the percussion!

"First off, I apologize for my arm blocking my left hand in the parts where I'm playing the Minilogue!

This is a live version of my new song, Sunset! I'm playing on a Nord Electro 4, a Korg Minilogue, and a Samson MIDI controller. Not the most involved performance ever, but I like to put together these live versions of my original music as a sort of proof-of-concept if I ever needed to perform live.
