"The IOTINE CORE is an analog powerhouse. The IC features 3 separate processing layers that each includes a Filter, VCA, and a selection of Saturation circuits. Both channels feature a smooth 12db VCF, ideal for audio filtering and reminiscent of 12db synth filters but with very low noise and full frequency range.The dual channel SAT selection with variable DRIVE offers rich texture and intensity circuits designed to alter sound density through analog distortion and waveshaping techniques. Dynamic movement of frequency and amplitude of the layers is a base design feature of the IC. The movement is derived from envelopes that are triggered by the input, resulting in organic and flexible modulation that conforms to the sound and creates a living animation that pulls out or pushes down elements of the sound. Further processing can be applied by separating the layers on output from the IC, allowing external mixing and effecting options that expand the unit into an incredibly flexible processing system.

The GRAPHIC ENVELOPE consists of 2 separate analog envelopes each derived from stepping thru 8 levels at a shared rate. The envelope can be run as a dual 8 step or a dual 15 step envelope.
Easily create and adjust complex envelope shapes with time based movement that is easily adjustable in a graphic layout.
3 usable time ranges allow for the accurate setting of specific overall envelope times.
Level inputs allow CV or audio to set the level of the envelopes.
2 rate knobs set the envelope length and can be switched between via gate or CV input.
The 2 envelopes can be swapped to the other's output pre- Response via gate or CV input.
The HOLD STEP pauses the envelope while the gate input is high, making a playable and responsive envelope.
Gate outputs pre/post the HOLD STEP, EOC and total envelope period allow for example: the switching of rate or the delayed trigger of a second envelope during the envelope cycle.

"Running an old Univox SR-55 preset drum machine through the NIIO Analog Iotine Core 3 filters and distortions and trying out different settings.

Entirely analog, dynamic audio processor with three independent channels. Two feature each an H-A-R envelope, a smooth 12dB multi mode filter, a low-noise VCA and essentially a fantastic saturation stage, with six different distortion types for each channel. Additionally there's a EQ-like filter with other distortions. Four outputs and an external audio input you can use as envelope trigger input, extending the machine's functions.

"GATED RANDOM outputs a random CV level and thru gate probability with every gate input.

The range of the CV output is adjustable between 0 and 10v.

The level of the CV output can be shifted with the SHIFT control or a CV or audio source. The SHIFT control can shift the random level completely to 0v: which sets the probability of a random level of happening from 0 to 100%.

The GATE in is always passed thru to one of two GATE outs with probability control that either follow the gate length or latch/unlatch with every gate to that output.

The SAMPLE input allows an external level to be sampled, replacing the internal noise circuit.

The SEQUENTIAL DELAY GATE is an analog 8 step sequencer that triggers 2 separate gates with adjustable length. The 2nd gate has delay control, and a third gate (ALT) is output that is dependent on the other two. Each step triggers either gate or none.

*Activate gate / CV inputs.
*Gate / trigger envelopes.
*Clock sequencers w/off time steps

ALT OUT
Outputs a gate for one of three conditions as set by the ALT switch.
The orange LED displays the gate.
OR :output is high when either the U gate or L gate is high.
NOR :output is high when neither the U gate or L gate is high.
L-TRIG: outputs a 5ms (trigger) at the leading edge of the (L) step. The delayed gate can be included in this output. (Use to double tap an envelope)

This was another case of having too little time. I was only able to take a few shots and one video before NAMM started shutting down for the day. I briefly spoke to a number of people at the booth including Mike Brown of Livewire and Gur of Tiptop Audio. It was nice to finally meet them. I later saw Scott of the harvestman, Dieter of Doepfer as well as Don Hume of NIIO Analog at the TRASH_AUDIO BBQ. Great times. There are two shots in the set of a mini euro-rack modular. I'm sure you'll know which ones they are. :)
