NECROMONKEY - KNOCK KNOCK HORNETS NEST - MUSIC VIDEO

Published on May 24, 2013 RothHandle·1,606 videos

Some great synth spotting in this one including I believe the eowave Persephone and a mixed synthesisers.com based modular. Those of you that have been coming to MATRIXSYNTH for a while will recognize Mattias of RothHandle Studio from his numerous gear videos here on MATRIXSYNTH. On a synth trivia note ABBA's white Minimoog resided at RothHandle (see these posts). I'm not sure if it is still there.

"ARTIST: Necromonkey
SONG: Knock knock hornets nest
ALBUM: Necroplex

Music video by Martin Gustafsson (www.vimeo.com/gusse)

This is the first video from Necromonkeys debut album, Necroplex.

Necromonkey consists of David Lundberg (Gösta Berlings saga) and Mattias Olsson (Änglagård, Pineforest Crunch, Roth Händle studios).

In this video you can also see two of musicians that are heavily featured on the album Einar Baldursson (Guitar) and Michele Benincaso (Bass and Moog Taurus pedals).

The band is currently working on a series of four eps that will later on be compiled to an album. There are also plans for more videos and live concerts.

If you are interested in getting a copy of the album please drop the band a line at Necromonkeyness@gmail.com."

Treating an entire instrumental mix through the MOTM 410 filter

YouTube via RothHandle
"These last couple of weeks have been slightly dry when it comes to new films but I have been keeping myself busy trying to finish the new Antkowiak album.Kryz Antkowaiak is a very well known polish artist and this is his third solo album. So far I have mixed six tracks out of ten so I am feeling fairly positive and pleased.

These short smippets were filmed at my Studio in Stockholm. The studio started out like a very modest home studio in the late 90s. Since then it has grown bit by bit. If you are curious about the studio please stroll by www.roth-handle.nu for more info about instruments, bookings and music. I am also on Myspace...just search fopr Molesome and I will be there like an old Motown track..."

Even more modular sequences with utopian influences

Loopstation vs the Rupture the Ringtone and the Moogerfooger 12 stage phaser

YouTube via RothHandle. Audio demo comes in at 1:27.
"A couple of weeks back I did a couple of pedal tryouts. I am using a Boss loopstation where I have recorded 4 different sounds. Yesterday while doing back ups I recorded three more.

This example is of a combination of pedals the audible disease rupture, the ringtone and the Moogerfooger phaser.

This video was recorded at Roth Händle studios, in Stockholm, Sweden. This is where I spend my days and occasional nights recording and producing albums for artists from all over the world. After buying my first Mellotron in 1998 a spark lit in me to try to find interesting and different instruments to use in my music and productions. Now the studio is more less filled with old and new sonic weirdness ranging from tabla drum machines to pipe organs.

If you are curious about the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu for more information, booking and blogs. If you are curious to hear some music that was recorded at the studio please visit www.myspace.com/Molesome

Thank for watching !

First Tenori rhythm

YouTube via RothHandle
"Day one of recording the Magical Tenori-on. I saw one at a underground night club in Hong kong and realized I needed one badly. So I took the smart way out. It became my wifes christmas present. Yesterday I recorded some drum samples into it and today we used it as the rhythm track for a Andreas Morland song, all the time.

This film was recorded at my studio, Roth Händle. This is where I record and produce bands. Right now I am mostly working on two projects. Andreas Morland and Music for the silent movie Nanook of the North which we will be performing in tromsö next week. If you are curious about the studio please drop by www.roth-handle.nu
I am also on myspace...search for Molesome."

Experimenting with volume pedal Persephone.mp4

YouTube via RothHandle

"Today was....interesting. Tiger was home from school so she came with me to the studio. The idea was of course to just burn some files for White willow and then leave but I felt like I wasnt entirely done with the them...So I did a handful of overdubs.

So I recorded some ambient vocals with my daughter, some maas rowe vibra chimes and some spooky persphone..And then tomorrow Ill send them all to Jakob and he will have a swell time trying to figure what to use and what to loose.

For more info on the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu"

Trying out the Synthesizers.com q107 filter.mp4

YouTube via RothHandle
"This last friday was interesting and fun as I received two fresh modules in the mail...And then my finished Euro reack modular...It is a bit of a bastard with modules from doepfer, analogue solutions, livewire, harvestman and plan B.

This little mobile film shows a short and slightly tired runthrough of the q107 filter from synthesizers.com I think we will be spending a lot of time together.

This little film was shot at my studio, Roth Händle. It is located in Sundbyberg, Stockholm, Sweden. If you are curious to find out more about the studio please visit the website www.roth-handle.nu

Thanks for watching,

Rhythms with the Flame synth.

YouTube via RothHandle
"Last friday one of my machines decided that I needed to spend some more time with the Rhys Marsh track I have been working on so it sort of erased all the names of all of the files and let my try to find them again...I think I might be finished on Thursday.

Anyways I took a short break and messed around with some pedals trying to make a rhythm using the sounds from the flame synth as the base. After the flame synth we have the moogerfooger analog delay and then the murf and then my latest pedal...the teaspoon from the squarewave parade.

This was filmed at the roth händle studios in Stockholm. If you are curious about the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu"

Cinematic session 5 recording the Yamaha CS 60

YouTube via RothHandle
"The work on the music for norwegian film Vegas continues. Me and Matti have been recording 18 different pieces ranging from full on rhythm ic distorted stuff to very ambients sheets of sound. And pretty much everything in between. The work process is very open and intuitive. We try to make to-do lists but we get derailed and start working whatever impulse guides us. The sessions are in short, really really fun.

In this film you can see Matti playing my Yamaha CS-60. It is the cousin of the CS-80. I havent used too much as it isnt really one of my favorites in the studio but I think it works here...In context.

This film was shot at Roth Händle studios, Stockholm. It is run by me, Mattias Olsson and this is where I record and produce artists and albums. If you are curious to find out more about the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu for the occasional blog, instrument articles and general info. White Willow...now with Thingamagoop Chaos

YouTube via RothHandle
"This film was recorded at Roth Händle studos in Stockholm, Sweden. This is where I spend my days recording and producing artists...The studio started in my apartment and evolved slowly from there. This is the forth location of the studio. The first one obviously was at home...the second and third was at a abandoned shipyard outside of Stockholm. The studio works more or less in two ways either the artists come here to the studio or people send files that I work with...If you are curious to find out more about the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu for more info, blogs and odd facts. Oh yes and now I am on facebook too with a dedicated roth händle site...I dont know how to link to it but you people are all so internet smart so you can find...if you want to.

Thanks for watching,

Mattias"
