MIDI on Yamaha CS80 is impressive!
video upload by Jose's Vintage Keys
"Electronic musician @rimela shows just how far you can take MIDI on a Yamaha CS-80. I reached out to him, and he generously shared the original tracks so we could take a closer look at the possibilities. In the end, I couldn’t resist adding a little improv of my own to his fantastic tune. Don't forget to check out his original! • Yamaha CS-80 [posted here] - and also check this video bij Mark Cox: • YAMAHA CS-80 Ultimate Upgrade - A Dream co..." [posted here]

5 reasons the Yamaha CS-80 is a Performer’s Dream
video upload by Jose's Vintage Keys
"The Yamaha CS-80 is more than a legendary analog synth — it’s a full-body performance instrument. In this video, we explore five features that made the CS-80 truly ahead of its time: from its expressive polyphonic aftertouch and velocity-sensitive keyboard to its iconic ribbon controller and real-time modulation controls.
Discover how a team of organ engineers created one of the most playable synths in history — and why no modern instrument has fully caught up.
Featuring:
• A deep dive into the CS-80’s unique keyboard and ribbon
• The story behind Crazy Horses and the Yamaha YC-30
• The return of poly aftertouch (finally!) in 2019
• How the CS-80 shaped the sounds of Vangelis, Toto, Springsteen and beyond"

video upload by Welcome at Jose's Vintage Keys
"Vangelis - Schulze - Hammer ....and #jeanmicheljarre - those are my big heroes. Jarre keeps surprising with music that is both Melodic and Electronic - his soundscapes are always recognizable - but never the same. Prophet played a major part in playing this cover of #oxygen 14."

Hans Zimmer 'Dune' Vangelis edition

"Back to my roots playing famous movie tunes in the style of Vangelis. Well, let's say with a prominent role of the #cs80 - orginal title: Pauls Dream. Txxs for the inspiration @HansZimmer
I tried to give it a human feel for the melody by running the #prophet5 through the VP330 #vocoder. My first ever Vocoder performance :-)"

California 24 and I-980: The East Bay's Most Scenic Freeway
video upload by CatSynth TV
"We take a ride along one of the Bay Area's most scenic freeways, California Highway 24. Branching off from I-680 in Walnut Creek, it heads west through a verdant landscape of hills and small towns. It crosses the Berkeley/Oakland hills through the Caldecott Tunnel and then emerges into Oakland with views of the East Bay and even San Francisco.
Passing Interstate 580, California 24 transitions to Interstate 980 through downtown Oakland, ending at Interstate 880 which continues through the city's southwestern industrial area and onward towards San Jose.
The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system runs along the median of CA 24 for much of length, both in the eastern section and in Oakland.

#bladerunner End Titles Ambient Cover with #CS80 #tr808 #CP70 #bladerunnerambience #rutgerhauer
video upload by Jose's Vintage Keys
"I have been a fan of Rutger Hauer since I was a little kid. He had a great (bw) series called ‘Floris’, playing a handsome and very smart knight. I was a big fan… I even called my oldest son ‘Floris’ (a very Dutch name that is difficult to translate). When @Doctormix made a really great version of Blade Runner end titles, I got the idea to use the track as an homage to Hauer, who passed away in 2019. I decided to make a different ‘atmospheric’ version—no sense to copy the copy of the Dr. I think it turned out quite well and features some scenes from this wonderful actor.”"

BRAZIL- ELECTRONIC MUSIC ARTISTS DEMOSTRATION CLIPS BY AMYR CANTUSIO JR -2024

"KEYBOARDISTS & MUSICIANS FROM THE ELECTRONIC/PROGRESSIVE ROCK FIELD OF BRAZIL
ELECTRONIC KEYBOARDS FROM BRAZIL
(Video Show - Collective Clip by Amyr Cantusio Jr)
Here are several keyboardists, electronic engineers, amateur musicians and some professionals who move the national scene, in a universe almost unknown to the people themselves.
These are videos that I collected, all of whom I know personally, to give lovers of the genre a perspective of what is produced behind the scenes in the underworld of electronic, electro-acoustic and progressive music in Brazil.
There are no critics in the area, almost no magazines or articles that cover or publicize these works. So here is a General Synopsis for you:
1-Arthur Joly (S.P. Engineer and producer, creator of the Big Modular Synthesizer Reco-Synth.
2-PAULO BETO (S.P.) - Anvil X and Solo.Paulo He worked on a lot of things, including Joly. I don't know why his work is so little publicized.
3-JOSE D'ELBOUX (S.P.)-Recorded 2 CDs with his project Tau Ceti. It is one of the few groups in Brazil where the Power Trio format with only keyboards/drums and bass is used, besides myself.
4-RONALDO RODRIGUES (Campinas S.P./R.J.) Caravela Escarlate. Also only known in the specific field.
5-VINICIUS BRAZIL (R.J.) engineer who created the Lizard Synths line. He also recorded a CD with the band Aether.
6-PATRICK WICHROVSKY- (R.J.) Has an independent triple CD "Eram os Deuses Astronautas" and played in some progressive bands. 7-VENTO AZUL DO SOM-(SE) Marcio and Marcelo Prata. They are heroic creators of "synth scraps", with almost no resources, and they even recorded LPs and some independent tapes on their own. They are very experimental in electro-acoustics.
8-GUSTAVO JOBIM (R.J.) has many CDs and work recorded independently, and very restricted to the underground circuit.
9-ELOY FRITSCH (R.S.) one of the most famous, with several solo CDs, and his band Apocalypse (which despite being known abroad, in Brazil is almost completely unknown) covers and professional work. Eloy is a professor at UFRGS.
10-EDGAR FRANCO (GO) Lyricist, illustrator and PhD in Visual Arts, has several multimedia works on CDs, magazines, etc... Also like Eloy, a professor at UFRGN. 11-FABIO RIBEIRO (S.P.) Also famous for having played in the underground band III Milenio (LP), Blezqi Zatsaz (solo LP) and Angra (CD).
12-ALPHA III (Amyr Cantusio Jr) (Campinas S.P.) - my Project, perhaps the most famous for the body of work (LPS and CDS) that luckily reached more than 20 countries, in the Underground as well, with a relevance relative to the medium only."
