"In 2016 and 2017, while working on the debut album for my band Pin Park, I recorded a few hundred tracks. Around 200 survived the first cut, and that number was eventually trimmed down to 50. These recordings were literally rescued by Marcin Bociński from legatomastering.pl after I had forgotten about them for quite some time.

The setup I used was extremely limited: an EMS Synthi AKS (occasionally a VCS3), an EMS Vocoder 100, and three Boss pedals (looper, reverb, and distortion). Everything was recorded onto a low-quality Zoom device running through a substandard mixer. Each track was captured in a single take with no overdubs, which meant there was no real possibility for mixing. Marcin’s mastering work was nothing short of amazing, bringing these raw recordings to life.

In 2018, Apekwolf Records released 14 of these tracks. The remaining 36 were never made available—until now. Enjoy!"

"All tracks were recorded between July 16–18, 2019 at KSYME (Contemporary Music Research Center) in Athens on their Synthi 100. I call them "non-tunes" because they were never intended for release. However, since someone asked about my Synthi 100 experience in Athens, I asked my colleague Marcin Bocinski (legatomastering.pl) to mix and master the recordings."

NAMM 2023 - IV/OCT - The Centre

"Marcin Dudar showcased his latest product at NAMM 2023. The Centre, a semi-modular version of his Euro-Rack module is designed for performers and beginners in modular systems. This module allows users to build multiple sounds simultaneously with internal patching to the mixer and MIDI control. The module has four analog outputs to the rest of the modular system, and it can be controlled by CV voltage, gates, voltage per octave input, and MIDI.

The digital engine is based on floating point precision and can take wave tables from popular synths and includes VCOs, LFOs, shapes, VCAs, and effects such as low-fi delay and reverb. The system's firmware has been updated to version 2.0. Marcin demonstrated the intuitive and simple patching process. The module is available as a Eurorack module or a semi-modular system, and it comes with optional extra modules as well.

"Maciek, Marcin and Tomek from Xaoc Devices were so kind to explain their more sophisticated modules to us. What initially looks like a lecture at university, is actually a quick and very good explanation of the huge and often overlooked possibilities of their Drezno and Lipsk modules. Those two go to the heart of digital-to-analog conversion (and the other way round) and are therefore perfect examples of what makes modular synthesizers interesting in the first place! You can go as deep into the shaping of sounds and modulations as possible! At the end of the workshop they also talked about their first VCO module - Odessa, an additive oscillator with great potential.
