Destroying drums for Aphex Twin's - Ventolin, with the Erica Synths Syntrx II and Roland R8
video upload by Bleeps and Boops
"Something no-one asked for but it's here anyway... I was fascinated by the idea of Richard processing drums in things like the MS20, but rather than go down that route I figured I'd have a go at Ventolin using the spiritual ancestor of the EMS Synthi, the Erica Synths Syntrx II.
Chapters below -
0:00 Intro
1:30 Thought process and motivation
3:17 Syntrx II Demos
8:17 Parts for Ventolin
11:00 Track!
It's not 100% (obviously) and I didn't go to the trouble of changing the parts up too much. I think the drums are samples - there are bits in the original that sound like they're being played backwards which gives the game away - but the Syntrx is way more than 'just' a monosynth, and makes some very weird sounds so I sort of went with it."

video upload by Bleeps and Boops
"A review and exploration of the WaveRex R8 card, which allows you to put your own samples on to the Roland R8, effectively turning it into a gritty lofi beat making monster.
Huge thanks to Marco for the loan of the WaveRex - find out more here -- https://waverex.de/de/

The Korg Wavestation - Orbital's Halcyon+On+On Synth
video upload by Bleeps and Boops
"I have a Wavestation SR in my rack of 90s stuff, so thought it might be good to show how to program it. Or at least *try* to program it.
Edisyn - the PC/Mac editor I use later in the video can be found at https://github.com/eclab/edisyn
Korg's Legacy Collection or Wavestation plugin can be found in all sorts of places. I still haven't forgiven them for not being able to fix my MS20ic back in 2006... and have sadly been without an MS20 ever since 😢"
DAWlessly Recreating Café Del Mar on mostly 90s synths
video upload by Bleeps and Boops
"Sadly I don't own any of the JP8K or Access Virus synths, so most of Ferry Corsten's output is out... as is Xpander!
Synths are the Nord Lead 2X, Roland JV1080, Moog Sub 37, Yamaha TX81Z, plus the Akai S3000XL. Sequencing is on the Squarp Hapax, reverb is from the Alesis Quadraverb."

wrongbot: 8-step sequencer synth noise 'circuit bent'
"That's why you need this in your life. Everyone loves bleeps and boops... FACT!
However, bleep-organisation is often overlooked. This can lead to stress, confusion and lost noise. You wouldn't wish that upon your greatest nemesis.
Lucky for you then. This little box can sort your bleeps right out.
ok, enough nonsense. Sorry about that.
The steps are selectable via a rotary switch. Two momentary buttons can be used to RESET and HOLD the sequence.
Each step lights an LED. 1-4 are green while 5-8 are red. There are 4 LEDs, they're massive and dual colour.
The speed of the bleeps is controlled by an LFO. The LFO speed is controlled by the RATE dial. That has a lovely warm white LED for reference.
There's an ON switch.
Theres a VOLUME dial.
There's a 9v DC socket and a battery clip.
There's kick ass vinyl decals all hand cut by me.
There's NO onboard speaker, so amplification is needed.
There's a 6.35mm Jack socket for that purpose.
There's rubber feet."
