"In this session, I dive into the DecadeBridge Sn, using it as a purely standalone sound source for an improvised drone performance.

The goal of this exploration was to push beyond simple sustain and find the hidden textures, grit, and evolving timbres tucked inside this compact synth. By moving through various frequency ranges and modulation points, the Sn reveals a surprising amount of movement and harmonic complexity. Expect a journey through heavy low-end oscillations, shimmering high-frequency artifacts, and raw, unpolished sonic landscapes.

Rorschach by Lumatic Visual Devices is an analog-style video synthesizer designed for artists exploring video synthesis, live visuals, and audio-reactive image generation. It works equally well as an entry point into video synth hardware or as a creative expansion for experienced users.

Rorschach is well suited to live performance, with the ability to self-generate evolving patterns using its built-in randomisation features. Its functionality can be extended further by feeding control voltage, gate signals, or audio into the modulation inputs, making it easy to integrate into modular and experimental setups.

With a clear, functional, and immediate control layout, Rorschach is an excellent starting point for anyone taking their first steps into video synthesis, while still offering enough depth to remain engaging for more experienced users. Compact and portable, it also features an audio output that converts the video signal into a distinctive drone voice.

Rorschach generates its own black and white composite video patterns straight out of the box. Its functionality expands further when used alongside modular or Eurorack systems, or when audio signals or control voltage are fed into the CV and gate inputs. The focus is on experimentation, play, and hands-on control.

A dedicated random section allows the synthesizer to run freely, generating evolving patterns automatically and in real time. Leave it running during a performance, or introduce external signals such as a kick drum or sequencer to push the visuals into new territory.

Four main controls for horizontal position, vertical position, width, and height
– CV inputs for all four parameters
Form control selects from six pattern generator modes
– Can also be modulated via audio input or control voltage
Random control sets the amount of randomness applied to the four position parameters on each refresh

BalterLITE features two samplers with dedicated 32 step sequencers for gate, pitch and volume. I am releasing this 'as is' as I have no time to develop it further. It is a little 'old skool' and kooky but is good for creating percussive sequences or stranger sounds when using longer samples."

"BalterLITE is a 2 channel sample player with an old skool approach. Each sampler features a gate, pitch and level sequencer for each of its 32 steps. It also features envelope generators for the lopass filters, a global envelope triggered by a midi note on event, a volume envelope triggered by each step that is active alongside a sample pitch decay control."

Similis - self sequenced

"Similis is a lo-fi synth that has several different patches. Here it is set to run a random sequence over a major or minor scale. This preset can be switched between 1 or 2 oscillators, each playing a random note independent of each other.

Pot A/CV in A sets the root note.
Pot B/CV in B sets the range of notes of the chosen scale.
Pot C/CV in C sets the rate of the sequencer (controlled using an envelope generator in this example)
Switch A sets the waveform (Sine, Saw or Square)
Switch B has 3 different settings (Stop the sequencer playback on its current note, run the sequencer, run the sequencer and add an additional synth voice.)
Switch C sets the scale."

Similis - Detune

"Similis is a lo-fi/chiptune style synth consisting of several different presets.
This Similis patch stacks 3 oscillators and detunes them against each other.

Pot A/CV in A controls the root note.

Pot B/CV in B controls the detune of the other 2 oscillators.
Pot C/CV in C controls the level of the 2 additional oscillators.
The root note pitch is being controlled by a random scale from Pam's Pro Workout.
Here an envelope generator is controlling the level of the detuned oscillators through CV in C.
Switches A B and C change each oscillators waveform (sine, saw, square)"

Similis - Chords

"Similis is a lofi synthesiser that has 6 different presets.

This is an example of the 'chord' preset.
The first control sets the root note of the chord. The second selects 1 of the 10 chords available (5 major variations and 5 minor). The third control sets the volume of the notes that make up the chord except the root. Each of these controls has a CV input.
Here the root note is controlled by the keystep pitch. The VCA is being gated by the keysteps gate out. The volume of the chord notes are controlled using the mod wheel."

"Similis is a lofi chip tune synthesiser that uses basic waveforms to generate it's sound.

Features:-
6 different settings (TYPE) from stacked oscillators to chords to self sequencing.
The setting selection can also be stepped using a trigger/gate signal for some odd patch skipping.

Each control can also has a CV input for connecting external gear.

Settings 1-3 deal with stacked oscillators.
3 oscillators with independent pitch. Sine, Saw and Triangle waves.
3 stacked oscillators. The first sets the root note and the other two are detuned plus and minus from the root.
The two detuned oscillators can be faded in.
Chords. The first oscillator sets the root note. The second control sets the chord (5 major chord variations and 5 minor) The amount of voices in the chord can be altered using switch C. The chord notes can be faded in to give a swell effect.
Settings 4-6. Simple sequencing.
The last three patches are random sequencers. The first is free running. Select between, chromatic, major and minor scales. The range and rate of the sequence can be altered and a second oscillator can also be brought into the sound.
The last two patches substitute the rate control as a mix for other voices. A short trigger signal is needed to tell Similis to choose a new random note/s within it’s selected scale.

The output is run through a 3 position passive LPF which turns into a Low pass gate when the VCA switch is down and a CV signal is connected to the VCA input."

"This video features an live performance highlighting the Hikari MONOS from ‪@hikarimachi‬ , a unique synthesizer that generates a wide range of noise textures and rhythmic patterns through combination of a noise generator and an oscillating low-pass filter. The performance was recorded live, going through goes through a mixer with Delay & Reverb send (UAFX Starlight Echo Station & Golden Reverberator), then lightly mixed and mastered in Pro Tools. "This video documents an improvised performance featuring the Triad, a compact drone synth (and much more!) from UK-based synth designer/manufacturer ​⁠​⁠‪@decadebridge‬, processed live through the Paragraphs II, a low-pass filter from ​⁠​⁠‪@vongonelectronics‬ , and through a stereo reverb/delay send (off camera). "FOUR is a 4 oscillator ( surprisingly) drone synth/utility instrument.
The 4 square wave generators are grouped into pairs and routed through 1 of 4 NOR logic gates. The outputs of the logic gates can then be mixed together to create stacked drones and chords.
FOUR can also be used as a CV source or to gate/trigger other equipment.

The Haunted Arcade of the DecadeBridge Triad (Drones, Noises, Glitches and Rhythms)

"The DecadeBridge Triad is a unique little Synth module that generates drones, rhythms, noises and glitches - it sounds, to me at least, like a haunted arcade in the 80s - malfunctioning machines, wailing, whirring and bleeping. It's based on a trio of analog oscillators arranged in a fairly unique, raw and unpredictable arrangement. It works great as part of a drone or noise setup, makes for excellent sample fodder, and thanks to the neat "reset" input it can play along with drum machines and sequencers (especially paired with a little low-pass gate).

TRIAD is a 3 oscillator square wave drone/noise/glitch synth.

The 3 oscillators drive and reset each other in different ways depending upon the switch/button settings. an external trigger, gate or clock can also be used to reset 2 of the 3 oscillators.

"Shallow Grave is a free filter effect for Windows and Mac.
it comes with a small bank of presets to get you started.
I find it works best with arpeggios and sequenced synth lines or full sounding synth chords but it can create a range of sounds including slow moving filter sweeps and glitchy, tripped out almost distorted sounds.
