• USB MIDI
• New modulation destinations: Character, Detune, envelope Attack, Decay, Sustain & Release
• New presets by Kebu
Improved
• LFO Trigger parameter is now named Sync
Fixed

as it should be. This may affect the noise level in some presets.
• MIDI notes now stop when:
- All Notes Off CC123 is received

- MIDI Panic is pressed from front panel
• Repeatedly pressing MIDI Panic no longer crashes the synth
• On fast envelope decays, the envelope no longer gets stuck to its previous sustain value, when sustain level is changed
or modulated
• Fix potential loss of autosave or presets
• Minor visual fixes
The next Redshift 6 firmware update is already in beta testing and is expected to be released in March.
Supercritical’s Redshift 6
Supercritical’s Redshift 6 is a 6 voice polyphonic analog synthesizer that combines technology from Supercritical’s previous products, the Demon Core Oscillator and the Neutron Flux Filter.
Redshift 6 is a true Sonic powerhouse. With 16 oscillators per voice and a 4-pole analog multimode filter featuring drive and character controls, it effortlessly delivers everything from super saw stabs to lush pads and from unison basses to vintage poly synth sounds. The Redshift 6’s 4 envelopes and 4 LFOs combined with complex, but super easy-to-assign modulation possibilities and mod matrix offer endless possibilities for sound design.

Brad Fiedel - Terminator Theme (cover by Kebu)
video upload by Kebu
"Here's my cover of Brad Fiedel's 'Terminator Theme'! The song is part of my new 'Synthesizer Legends - Volume 1' album, which is available now:
https://zyxdance.lnk.to/SynthesizerLe...
The album features a collection of cover tunes of famous and less well-known instrumental synthesizer gems from the eighties. Some of the songs on the album have been part of my live repertoire for many years already, while other songs are completely new arrangements. The last song on the album is a new arrangement: Brad Fiedel's legendary "Terminator Theme", as an extended version. The music was recorded using only analog synthesizers and analog drum machines.
Arranged, performed, recorded, mixed and mastered by Kebu / Sebastian Teir.
The video production was supported by Musiikin Edistämissäätiö, for which I'm truly grateful."

Kebu - Perplexagon part 1 (Novation Circuit OG remix)
video upload by bigkik
"Hello,
I discovered the Perplexagon album from Kebu a few weeks ago and instantly got hypnotized by those synthesizers sounds, so I could not resist giving it a try.
I actually picked also a loop from 'Perplexagon part 4' for the intro.

Roland FANTOM 4x4x4 Challenge using 4 NEW MODEL EXPANSIONS!!!
video by gattobus
"I accepted the 4x4x4 challenge that consists in building a song in just 4 minutes, using 4 Chords, playing 4 new Model Expansions for Roland FANTOM:
SH-101, Jupiter-8, JX-8P and JUNO-106.
I decided to raise the bar a little by doing this starting from scratch, using 4 INITIALIZED PRESETS!
Will I be able to do it?
Watch the video and see for yourself!!!
Hardcore synth nerds only!!!
(Headphones recommended)
#444xchallenge"
Kebu takes on the Fantom 4x4x4 Challenge
video by Kebu
"The idea of the challenge is to create a song with the Roland Fantom synth in 4 minutes, playing 4 chords only, and using the 4 new Model Expansions (vintage synth emulations of the Roland JX-8P, Juno-106, SH-101 and Jupiter-8).
Somehow I misunderstood the challenge and thought you ALSO had to compose the tune in 4 minutes ("create" = "compose"?). This made the challenge quite difficult! Not to come up with ideas, but to actually have it made in 4 minutes! I didn't succeed until my 14th attempt! Also, I decided to shoot everything in a single take and forced myself to come up with new musical ideas for each take, as I didn't allow myself to start with any ready-made ideas. In the end I decided to choose which synth sounds to use in advance, because otherwise it would have been impossible for me, because I couldn't get past the sound selection in 4 minutes. I'm so picky with my synth sounds. :)
Next, I challenge my friend Ludvig Olin with the #444xChallenge! And, of course, anyone with a Fantom can give it a go! Remember to use the tag #444xChallenge when you post your video.

Kebu - Roland JUPITER-Xm demo (live at Abbey Road Studios)
Kebu
"In August 2019 I was invited to perform at Roland's launch event at Abbey Road Studios in London, with the then top-secret JUPITER-Xm. So I was borrowed a pre-production unit and was planning to use it as part of a keyboard rig setup. Having tested it for a few days, I realized that I could do a whole tune using only one the JUPITER-Xm. So I composed a new tune (still unnamed) that I performed live at Abbey Road Studio 2 on the launch event.
The tune uses two scenes, with the main part of the tune being based around a factory preset by Gattobus that I modified. All the sounds are generated in realtime by the synth's I-Arpeggiator based on my playing. There are no backing tracks or pre-made sequences. I use an iPad running MIDI Designer for controlling some parameters that were not accessible from the front panel of the synth in the beta version of the firmware. The iPad was connected using the built-in Bluetooth of the JUPITER-Xm.
Many thanks to Roland for this great opportunity and for providing the video!"

Kebu - Just Another Space Odyssey (Roland Keyboard Rig)
Kebu
"In this video I perform "Just Another Space Odyssey" with an all-Roland keyboard rig, controlled by the Fantom's sequencer. The first two minutes of the tune is built up in real-time, by recording MIDI notes and looping them back. At 2:20, I start triggering pre-recorded MIDI sequences from the Fantom and play along with them.
Synths used:
Roland Fantom 6, Jupiter X, Jupiter Xm, System 8, JD-XA, TR-8S, TR-808, Alpha Juno 1 & 2 and SE-02
The audio was recorded in one take, but the video was edited from multiple takes."

Michael's Anthem (Kebu cover): Korg Radias, Arp Odyssey, Yamaha DX7, Moog Sub 37 & Nord Stage 2EX
Marcus Padrini
"In 2017, I recorded a video with a version of this great Kebu song. At the time, I did everything using only Korg Radias and a few other synths, without sequencing, playing just about everything live.
Recently, I had to move the synths to another space, think about a new dimension, position of each instrument, make all the audio, MIDI and electrical cables. After everything was ready, it was time to test the synth sequencing. The idea was to use that same structure as the version of Michael's Anthem (simply because I like it a lot), but now with new elements, sequenced synths to fill this humble version even more :)
This time, the lead was played with the DSI Tetra, great analog synth by Dave Smith. And the noise sweep filter effect was programmed on the Behringer MS-1. Sequencing on account, as always, of the Roland MC-808.
I'm still getting used to the position of the synths, suffering a little in the execution, with the lighting, etc. But soon, everything will be ready to start creating and recording again!'
Original version by Kebu posted back in 2012 here, followed by a live at PIUG performance here in 2016.

Vangelis - Blade Runner (End Titles) - Live by Kebu in Helsinki 2019
Published on Nov 21, 2019 Kebu
"Kebu's all-analog synth arrangement of Vangelis' Blade Runner (End Titles), performed live at Kuudes Linja in Helsinki, 22.5.2019.
Thanks to Mika Knuutila and Jonatan Flinck for operating the cameras, and Sebastian "Baba" Sjöblom for the light show!
Kebu performed the tune using only analog synthesizers, with some parts played live and some parts sequenced. The performance was recorded directly from the mixer to a stereo track, and was later mixed together with the ambience from the room.
Equipment used in this song: Alesis Andromeda A6; Korg Polysix, Poly 61, Mono/Poly; Roland TR-808, JX8P, Alpha Juno 1&2; DSI Tetra, Jomox AirBase99, Touched-by-sound DRM1, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Marion Prosynth, Akai MPC2500 (only for MIDI sequencing), Yamaha 01v96, Behringer X32 Rack (preamps & reverb only), Lexicon MPX1, as well as a midi patchbay and additional preamps for my mixer."
