Wasp-like VCF sync demo
YouTube via synthmonger
"Here's a small clip featuring one of my latest VCF modules. This is a wasp-like filter using my voltage controlled oscillator variable resistors (vcovrs) to control the frequency and resonance of the state variable filter.
In the video I have a single oscillator running through the filter while another oscillator is syncing the vcovr which is controlling the filter frequency. The resonance is set at max and is self-oscillating, which is very unusual since state variable filters are not supposed to self-oscillate. I am just adjusting the frequency knobs and showing the different audio outputs. Not much to it! :)"
obama angst
via Baghead's sounds channel
"two Kjaerhaus Spectra soft synths one with AD replicant the other woth AD Dubstation against arturia moog modular low end woth Ableton reverb , all with a military drumbeat from Puremagnetik purplekit tweked with audio damage Automaton - not a finished song more of a mood for some one to add on to"
"I kind of thought it has a Twin Peaks feel to it of you remember that show , oh Lara where is the Log Lady???? if you can't tell I'm worried that sleeze McCain is gonna win, what a tragedy if that occurs... also because of the abrupt ending it works better as a loop , but then maybe that is part of the angst, i.e an abrupt ending"
BTW, what's up with Texas?

"some jazz session on the powerful little synth."
Total System Point Never - Power In That Which Compels You
"Total System Point Never is Daniel Lopatin of Oneohtrix Point Never / Astronaut / Infinity Window on polyphonic synthesizers and Vinnie Paternostro of Total System Failure and Sonic Suicide Squad on tenor sax. This disc sounds like John Zorn getting f'd up by Tangerine Dream, somewhere between free jazz skronk and future retro synth. This release represents the rebirth of snapped in half, the future is now."More info on snapped in half

He'll be transferring over the old tests to the new blog over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for them. For now he has a post up featuring the Bleep Labs Thingamagoop running through a Cwejman MMF-1 and a Roland Space Echo followed by a Cwejman VCO-2RM.
