experiment to find what you're looking for, try different combinations of inputs and outputs for otherworldly sci-fi sounds

- The two input signals are MULTIPLIED together and produce sideband frequencies that are the sum and difference of the frequencies present in the two signals.

- Sounds like old sci-fi sound effects and produces an unlimited amount of bizarre sounds. Depending on the two frequencies

MANY weird sounds, by changing the inputs"

Micro Phasemonger Teaser

YouTube Uploaded by synthmonger on Feb 21, 2012

"This video is a teaser demo showing the normal phase shifting and the "aliased" phase shifting. Aliasing effect is achieved through underclocking.

4 phase stages with a bit of resonance. The controls will be Modulation knob routed to a toggle switch that selects manual or LFO, a Resonance knob, and another toggle switch that switches between normal or aliasing. There is also an exp/cv input for the phase shifting.

This is all analog, no DSP or coding done.

******************* The hissing is from either the phone case or ambient noise and NOT the pedal, which is extremely quiet."

Doepfer Eurorack Modular Synthesizer Phaser A-125 VC Phase Shifter

via this auction

See the seller's other items for more.

"Module A-125 (VC Phaser) is a voltage controlled phase shifter. Phase shifting can be controlled either manually or by voltage control. Other parameters which can be controlled are resonance (governing the depth of the comb filtering, and tonal color) and mix (the amount of the original signal which is added to the phase-shifted signal). The A-125 is used to generate the typical phaser sound ("jet sound"). Due to the voltage control feature not only the usual LFO-controlled phasings but even ADSR-, random-, sequencer- or S&H-controlled phasings are possible. In combination with the Shepard generator A-191 and several A-125 never ending barberpole phasing effects come true."

Modded Yamaha CS01 with MIDI

via this auction

"The pots and switches still have a good feel but the release time pot stopped working along time ago so the decay pot has been modified to go from decay into release. Its a great mod and still makes amazing sounds. It isn't invasive either, so you can reverse it.

This synth also had a filter mod added that makes the most insane sounds. If you want Squelch, this is the ticket!

Massive resonace with self oscillation, you can even tweak the filter into overdrive, amazing for new and heavy synth sounds!

On top of all these mods there is the "HIGHLY LIQUID" MIDI retrofit installed internally features of this are as follows:

0.Adds a standard MIDI IN port to your Yamaha CS01 (MKI or MKII)
0.Triggers entire 68-note range
0.Responds to MIDI notes number 41 thru 108
0.Does not interfere with "stock" functionality of keyboard
0.Power and activity LEDs
0.User-selected MIDI channel"

"Number 8 in the series. Lots of warping, taking the op1 tracks out for processing and back in again. Scratched around (no expert here obviously) an old sample in the background."

"This is a hand built noise machine built by me some of the plastic knobs are recycled all electronics pots and switches are new the enclosure is new but i spray painted it red. what you have here is 2 vco 1 lfo each one can be toggled on or off. there is an optical theremin that controls the vco closest to it when it is turned on. the optical theremin reacts to light when light hits it the pitch rises when darkened the pitch lowers you can modulate it with the 2nd vco and the lfo the video best describes how the works and sound very cool and noisy machine watch the vid check out the pictures feel free to ask any questions runs on 9v battery has 1/4 inch audio output"
