"Oberheim OBX, 8 voice synthesizer with Encore midi. One of the legendary monsters of analog. The Encore midi gives it 120 programs instead of the original 32 in most OBX synthesizers. The paint and finish is in very good condition, beautiful for a synth this old, though there are some nicks here and there as will most vintage items. It was a 4 voice which was upgraded to 8 voices and the Encore midi added. Notice it has the large sequencer socket to the upper left of the Encore midi board. This is for plugging in a compatible ribbon cable to connect with an Oberheim DSX sequencer. The color scheme is the later darker grey color with the grey blocks on the mod panel..."

The Feedback Machine by Music For Isolation Tanks

"Recorded in the studio by the mid 1990s three piece lineup of Music For Isolation Tanks. The Feedback Machine is a masterpiece of Analog circuitry and Human interaction. Features an EMS VCS3 (Putney) in the title role as well as all sorts of 1980s and 90s Analog Drum Machine and Synth goodness.
This album was originally recorded "live in the Studio" and released as one continuous track. To get the full impact of The Feedback Machine I recommend you listen to it in it's entirety from beginning to end as it was designed to be heard. I have made it available at a discounted price for those wishing to do so.

released 29 November 1996
David Talento with two of the greatest Electronic musicians I have had the pleasure of working with. We were the MFIT trio doing some underground shows in and around Phila and I'm thankful that I had the mindset to capture the three of us recording this master mess.
Look up both these gentlemen to see the great heights they have achieved since:
Alex Westner
Flavio Lemelle
_DT- April, 2012
Some Instruments used:
EMS VCS3(Putney), SCI Pro One, Roland Juno106, TR808, CR8000, TR707, EH Microsynth, Theremaniacs Theremin, various Boss and DOD Pedals, Guitar into the Putney."
DSI Mopho - 80s ARP
"We are using the 2 Sub Oscillators and the ARP 2-octave up & down to create the sound; then sequencing 2 notes, 1 octave apart which is creating the 3 octaves sequence basis.
The first part of the sequence, only DCO 1 can be heard.
The second part of the sequence, we are using iControlMIDI to slowly move the DCO Mix towards DCO 2; which has a high pitched Oscillator modulated by LFO 1.
The third part of the sequence, we are using iControlMIDI to change the LFO1 Waveform from Square to Random, then back to Square.
The fourth and last part of the sequence, we are using iControlMIDI so fade out the VCA.
There is a high end (hardware) reverb.
There is no drum machine and only one track / one sound."
Ecole Berlin Deux

"Thought I'd give the Berlin School a little try.
All Euro format modular. Modcan Touch sequencer providing the bassline from an AFG through a Sound of Shadows. FM'd sounds from the Hertz Donut arpeggiated from the Flame Chord Machine which also pruduces quantized cv's for the quad VCLFO from Doepfer to provide the chords from the Pressure Points. Percussion from noise from Noise ring going through the notch pass of a Div 6 Filtare.
Lots of other stuff going on including the bouncing ball patch on Maths, and wavefolded sine from a Z3000.
Floral stuff thanks to a mild Spring in South London!"

eurorack,
