MacBeth Touch Keyboard Test Video

YouTube Published on Jun 18, 2012 by macbethsynthesizers

"This is a demo of the touch keyboard that I'm working on. Gone is the physical stylus- now a finger with a small piece of foil is acting as the actuator! It's fun and it works. The touch keyboard is playing the MacBeth micromac desktop unit via it's CV inputs. I'm using a fair bit of sample and hold- LFO1 S&H is sampling the LFO2 Triangle wave- is sounds a little bit like sequences or arpeggios. I'm also usin the CV from the touch keyboard to control the speed of LFO1- at the very bottom of the keyboard- it's 0 Volts- at the top it's about 3 and half volts- so the LFO speeds up and slows down accordinly. I hope that you enjoy the product development!"

Looper experiment 3 (Tempest, Voyager, Octatrack, KP3 and Blofeld)

YouTube Published on Jun 18, 2012 by RoonanTV

"In this experiment I used 4 tracks on the Octatrack to play and manipulate the incoming audio. I only recorded once (the pad sound of the Blofeld). I used the repeat funtion of the Timefactor to freeze the mainsound coming from the Voyager and used a looper/flanger program on the KP3 on the Tempest and the output of the Octatrack. This will show that only one simple pattern can stay interesting by looping it different ways. Everything is do in one take and recorded live (sorry for the occasional clipping)."

Reknobbin

"Took some time to change out some knobs on a few modules more to my liking.

All Blue Lantern module knobs switched to the Din Sync Drum Dokta and DDB (Which arrived the day after this video was shot). Blue Lantern knobs to the custom knobs I ordered years ago.

Center two range knobs on the Make Noise Wogglebug switched with the center two channels on the Maths. Blue to Red and vice versa.

All knobs from the QMMG switched to the Pressure Points. This makes the QMMG look like the generation one versions and the PP with two white rows and a red row in the center. My newest PP showed up late last week and has the new Make Noise knobs.

Close up panning over the modular system. Enjoy."

"Music Korg Kaoss Pad and Korg Monotron. In the video I have the Monotron running through the effects of the Korg Kaoss Pad. Using the X Y Pad is a bit hit and miss. The Kaoss Pad needs an effects hold button, but I think I'd have to get a Quad for those kind of results."

SYNTHBOY+ Interface Dock for Nintendo Gameboy

"Dust off that first gen Gameboy as we have a very cool interface dock that converts the handheld gaming system into a state of the art 8 bit sound machine. There is a growing community of musicians and audio artists that are using these old gaming system sounds. We have used some of the achievements from the 8 bit community and created the SYNTHBOY+. Easy to plug into your mixer or home stereo with all of the various outputs. Midi IN/OUT makes it easy to connect to almost any keyboard. We have a limited number of units available on Kickstarter.com.

So please grab one and support the effort to save these older gaming systems and rock out to some old school Tetris sounds. This is recycling at its best. We really wanted everyone to be able to get one of these, so we went smaller and more affordable. You can even send in your working Gameboy and we will modify it for you. Thank you for your time and I hope you love the old gaming system sounds as much as we do."
