Elektron A4 the Time is over...

Published on Nov 2, 2015 ElektroNoiser

"The test time is over and I have not managed to squeeze the full potential of this tremendous machine, maybe I should read the manual, create various patterns, but I could not save them at first, then could not keep different sounds for different patterns. .. maybe later if back the A4 ;-)
Thank you to Felipe for sharing your Analog Grade Four

Arturia Minibrute FM Modification

Published on Nov 2, 2015

"Adding a switch to the Vibrato enables you to extend its range and step down the rabbit hole of FM Synthesis.

Taken from http://hackabrute.yusynth.net/MINIBRU...

I used a 100uf Capacitor as it sounded better to my ears."

Introducing Stardust Covers - Premium Quality Synthesizer Dust Covers

Stardust Covers wrote in to let us know about their premium quality, custom fit dust covers. Check these out - absolutely stunning craftsmanship and design. They are currently made to order. You'll find additional and upcoming covers featured on their site.

"Dust is never gone, we’re all aware of that: dust is everywhere, and, whenever we remove dust, it always comes back. Then, it gets inside your most loved objects and instruments, cover your synth's components with crud which can lead to heat dissipation problems, and it also wrecks slider pots. Now, we also know that everybody wants to protect their synths from this everlasting and corrupting dust, from liquid spills, fading, and every kind of bangs and cracks.

Why? Because we all love our synths with unconditional love.

Our synth dust covers are the best expression of this love.
Why?

It took us two years of thorough and passionate research to find and develop the most proper materials for the product we had in mind.
Our covers will look like they were manufactured at the exact same time your synth was, as if they were twin brothers.
The vectorized synth designs are printed using UV Digital methood.
They have flaplike ducts for cables, in order to keep them connected even when your cover is on.
We’ll be working in order to continually develop new models, both for the most recent and the oldest synths.
This is a custom made product, manufactured exclusively in Portugal, a renamed country in textile industry.

We would also like to let you know that our covers have several different designs which you can choose from (there will be some ‘special editions’ in a near future), and are all made of synthetic leather, a 5mm foam to provide protection and form the cover, as well as a delicate soft layer that will be in contact with the instrument."

::vtol:: prankophone from ::vtol:: on Vimeo.

"Prankophone is a sound object being a hybrid of synthesizer, telephone and logic module. The main principle of the object’s functioning is as follows: depending on the current mode, the apparatus calls to random or pre-defined recipients and plays them algorithmic melodies created from their phone numbers. The speakers transmit both the synthesized sounds and the sound from answering person. The common sound layer is involving a random recipient who doesn’t suspect anything. The person who answers the phone can’t hear any other sounds except for the synthesized ones.

"This is a live set I put together for the 'Nightmare on Truslow Ave.' halloween party. Only hardware instruments and effects were used. All sounds are generated from a Prophet 08 and 707, sequenced via MIDI in Ableton Live, using follow-actions and hotkeys to trigger MIDI clips/scenes. Alesis Midiverb II, Quadraverb, and Boss RE-20 are on reverb/delay. Thanks for listening..."

Waldorf XTk Explorations 1

Published on Nov 1, 2015 matrixsynth

Set to HD for best quality. Listen on good monitors or headphones and turn it up.

Just mucking around with the Waldorf XTk. Mainly messing with wavetables. The display shows all edits. Dry to start followed by a little reverb & phaser, then dry again. All XTk. I love wavetable synths. All digital, no analog, and it sounds great.

Feel free to use and abuse anything in this video.
