Audulus 2 Minute Tip - 10: How to Make an Autopanner Effect

Published on Jan 25, 2016 Bimini Road

Get Audulus for: iOS | Mac | Windows/Linux

"An autopanner is like an invisible hand turning the pan pot. Whether you like 'em fast or slow, this is the easiest, lowest-resource way to do it. The 1 value represents your sound source, and the two meters are the Left and Right stereo channels. Apply whatever type of LFO or other control signal you'd like (you can even use feedback!).

The 2 Minute Tip series breaks apart topics on Audulus into bite-sized chunks. I don't talk during the tutorials (though there are a few notes that pop up), and this is so that international viewers who don't understand English well don't feel left out. Familiarize yourself with the node menu and my navigation won't be so mystifying. In the future, we'll develop a finger press indicator so you can see where I'm tapping.

nonlinearcircuits Introduces 1050 MixSeq Based on the ARP 2500 1050

Published on Jan 25, 2016 cirtcele

"This module is a mixer, 8 stage sequencer, two 4 stage sequencers and a sequential switch.
Functionally based on the core of the ARP2500 1050 mixer sequencer."

via nonlinear circuits:

"This module is based on the Arp 1050 mix sequencer. Although this version drops the VCO and push button functions. Using the switches, it is an 8 step sequencer, two 4 step sequencers, an 8 input mixer, 8 stage sequential switch, two 4 stage sequential switches and there is also a difference rectifier giving the +ve and -ve difference between stages 1-4 and 5-8.

The assembled PCB shown was a proto-type but the sockets should all be on the same side and the LEDs are actually thru-hole. I just used smd LEDs as they are easy to remove.

It is pretty much all SOIC and 0805 components, but a pretty easy build.

PCB - US$22, 16HP panel US$30, assembled - US$220"

via this auction

"Background: This Synthi was inherited after a death in the family and has been taking up storage space untouched for decades. I am looking for someone to take it off my hands and it would be a good find for a collector or studio looking for a classic and historic synthesiser (The EMS synth used by Eno on "Low" and "Heroes" was a Synthi AKS, the same model as used by Pink Floyd ("On The Run" etc.) and Alan Parsons Project ("I Robot")). I am not a musician so my knowledge of specifics and technical details is very limited outside of what I have been told by assessing experts but I am more than happy to respond to any questions or queries as best I can!

Rundown of condition:
In working condition (assessed by experts) All original parts and cords – no modifications or tampering.
The electronics are all working.
Top side of case housing keyboard is missing - was missing when originally imported from England in the 970's.
Original manual and assorted documents (Playing guides and tabs/patches).
Original pins (count: 2 Red, 3 Green and 14 White).
Keyboard seems to currently not be in working condition (I couldn’t get it going but my knowledge is limited) but is in very restorable condition (eg: [link])."
