Model D/MS-20/707 - "Inauguration Theme"
Published on Jan 20, 2017 Jae Ryan
"I had intended to make a cooler jam tonight but due to technical difficulties just ended up making this little ditty! It's real sloppy and first take. It's also the first YouTube thing I've done with my new Model D reissue, though it doesn't do it much justice! I'll do something more dynamic soon!
MS-20 bass is running through the UAD Space Echo and being synced by the rim from the 707!
Moog "lead" is running through UAD Lexicon 224 with extremely long tails and some pitch shifting.
707 is running through UAD Space Echo and also being sent lightly to the 224 that the Moog is sent to.
As many things I do often are, this is slightly inspired by John Carpenter. I wanted to try something with those semi-tone walks that take the song out of or transpose the key. I will probable do something more complete with that theory eventually, but I wanted to at least capture some sort of moment tonight!"
Toa Mata Band - Episode#5 [The man & the machines]

"I was 11 when during a Sunday afternoon of 1978 Kraftwerk appeared for the first time in an Italian TV show. For me it was a dazzling discovery, one that has changed my life , so I went into my room , took a tape and recorded the audio from the tv speaker!! I still keep that precious recording and I've played it again and again for a long time.
Since that day I was waiting the time when the robots make a real functioning band and play music live, and nowdays a lot of music robots around the world are growing up, giving new ideas and creative communication to the music.
This is my inspiration to this Kraftwerk 's tribute, regarding their vision of the future and to their brilliant approaching to the music with a touch of irony that even now is still influencing a thousand of music producers around the world.
My video contribution from Toa Mata Band (a tiny orchestra of Lego® robots driven by Arduino®) represents a version of the iconic tune 'The robots' using nowdays open-source technologies, microcontrollers, 3D printer, robot arm, music DAW, smarthphones, pocket synthesizers* and more... trying to give a new way to read the message we got from them 40 years ago.
Hoping you'll enjoy it, I want thank you for watching!

Korg Electribe 2 Tutorial + Jam: Kick and Snare / Bass on one track
Published on Jan 21, 2017 mishpult
"This video explains a workaround for Korg Electribe 2 groovebox that achieves kick and snare/tom/base sounds on one track. Originally demonstrated on the Korg EMX by LousyFacelift on his YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKXk2K... [below] The result is slightly different with the E2, but nevertheless it's a neat trick in the battle for more polyphony on this machine. Enjoy!"
Korg EMX tutorial: Sound design
Published on Jan 11, 2016 LousyFacelift
"Now that the Electribe 2 came out, many people describe the drum sounds of the EMX as flat or static but I think they are a great source for sound design. In fact the whole machine is. Please take a moment to listen to what I dialed up here. ;)"

Custom Colored Roland Juno 106 Vintage Keyboard Synthesizer w/Blue Meanie Mod

"Up for sale is this Roland Juno 106 Synthesizer in amazing condition.
Two slight details to mention. The 4th F# key is responsive to slightly stronger pressure than all other keys but it's not a big problem and does not affect overall functionality.
The second detail is that, like with many many other Junos, the Chorus is very ( and I do mean very) slightly noisy. However, this is not an aesthetically displeasing sound. It sounds like distant ocean waves (it's technically white noise in phase). But this can be easily fixed.
These two details are the only reason why I put this synth under "Good" rather than "Very Good or even "Mint".
Everything else works absolutely perfectly & sounds incredible. Has the Blue Meanie Mod by SynthSpa (Which in no way change the sound of the original Juno, it's just more stable, and looks spanking.)
Below are what the restoration service does:
The keyboard has been totally restored inside & out and comes with the SynthSpa warrantee, all workmanship and chips (that are still manufactured) are covered.
THE INSIDE:
Power PCB rebuilt - Large electro caps replaced, new 3 prong receptacle and new standard IEC power cable.
CPU board rebuilt - Old Battery removed, new removable battery chassis installed with new battery.
Module board rebuilt - 80017a voice chips restored & fully calibrated, comes with theSynthSpa guarantee!
Panel board rebuilt - All sliders removed, rebuilt, de-oxidized, re-soldered, and all new buttons.
Bender board rebuilt, volume & portamento knobs cleaned.
Keys cleaned - surface cleaned, key contacts de-oxidized.
New sounds organized by banks - From the SynthSpa library the 'best-of-the-best'.
THE OUTSIDE:
Blue lighted bender.
Blue 3mm LEDs.
Blue 2-Digit seven segment display.
Classic cherry custom wood end bells.
Clear coat - To protect your fragile screen print for years to come."
