Sidrax time!

Published on Sep 15, 2017 hajimmie

"I haven't played sidrax organ for some while. This instrument has many possibilities and I think it excels when with some companion. well, it's solo in this video, though. I'm exploring its sound to sample and later used with Plumbutter.

Shot on the phone with internal mic so the sound isn't great on the video but hopefully it'll translate the atmosphere I'm getting from Roland mobile cube amp."

Sidrax plays Cocoquantus

Published on Sep 16, 2017

"Saturday evening jam. Sidrax is connected to Cocoquantus. I occasionally gently touch Sidrax bars. Not seriously experimental but a relaxed jam of nice Ciat-Lonbarde instruments."

Buchla format “Dual Algorithmic Oscillator” Patch Test

Published on Sep 15, 2017 djangosfire

"Patch testing a beautiful 'Dual Algorithmic Oscillator' prototype that Grayscale Modular sent me to try out - essentially two Mutable Instruments 'Braids' in one panel.

Wish I had more time to dig in… but WOW!! This is a PERFECT addition to a Buchla 200e/200r system.

Can’t wait to get one of these for my system…. absolutely incredible - and IMHO a great fit to the Buchla format!

Check out http://www.grayscale.info/buchla/ for more info!

Cheers,

Bjords of Canadia (Roland SH-01A)

Published on Sep 15, 2017 sprunging for voltage

"The newest studio acquisition - the new Roland Boutique SH-01A.

So far, it is proving to be a lovely and lively little beast. Whilst twiddling about with it, I came upon some Boards of Canada-ish tones and went with it. Also in play are the TR-8 and Drumbrute, the JU-06, and a Microbrute. The SH-01A is passing thru a Moog MF-102 (for some tremolo) and then into an Earthquaker Devices Transmisser (for subdued wacky crazy reverb). All audio heads stereo out of my Mackie board into Ableton."

New Quadrangle - Quad Cascading Triggered Envelope Generator demo - EURORACK - Synthrotek

Published on Sep 15, 2017 synthrotek

via Synthrotek

"The Quadrangle is quad cascading triggered envelope generator with bipolar output attenuversion. Each channel has voltage control over attack and decay/release, end of attack and end of cycle trigger outputs, and mode (AR, loop and AD). Each channel's EOC is normalled to the next gate input, resulting in interesting rhythmic opportunities. Channel 4 has a "stop" or "continuous looping" switch which allows either a "one shot" cascaded envelope or continuous cycling. The SUM output allows for longer and more dynamic bipolar envelopes perfect for interesting modulation. Users can also voltage control all of the attacks and decay/releases simultaneously when using the ALL A and ALL D/R input jacks. Massive function generation, modulation, rhythm and versatility sets the Quadrangle in a class of its own.

Features:
4 Cascading envelope generators
Attenuverters for each envelope output (dial in that secret sauce!)
Attack, Decay/Release and Loop modes per channel
Super fast ~2 mS (Audio Rate) envelopes
CV over Attack and Decay/Release per channel
CV over ALL Attack and ALL Decay/Release
Bipolar Voltage SUM output of all envelopes
End of Attack & End of Cycle trigger outputs per channel
Normalled EOC to next channel Gate input (broken when jack is patched)
One Shot or Continuous Looping of all channels"
