How to Clean Yellow Piano Keys
Published on Jan 16, 2018 Pure Ambient Drone
"How to clean piano and keyboard keys that are yellow. Works on synthesizer and Piano keyboard plastic keys. Clean the yellow on your keyboard keys / synth keys with this technique I use for cleaning and whitening.
I bought a keyboard online that had yellow keys due to damage from sunlight. I didn't think anything would get them white again but I discovered a whitening technique using salon care 40 that did the job with out using bleach.
Now this piano key cleaning trick worked for me but you have to still use caution before doing this yourself. I can only tell you how I cleaned my piano keys, you have to take responsibility when cleaning keys for yourself."

Yamaha DX7 – Test Drive Of FM Player, KQ Dixie, Dexed, NI FM8, Arturia DX7-V and Korg Volca FM
Published on Jan 16, 2018 Power DX7
"An epic, detailed and accurate test drive of those DX7 emulation apps, VSTs and hardware in 1 video is here!! You will see side-by-side comparison of 6 'DX7 Wanna Be's', compared against Yamaha DX7 MK1 from 1983.
Like understanding true capability and performance of super cars from Ferrari, Porsche and Honda by taking them to a race track and pushing them to their limit, you need to do the same to the DX7 and DX7 Wanna Be's to truely understand their capabilities.
For this epic test drive, I selected a few Power DX7 signature patches that are designed to push FM synthesis further and further. Thus, you will conclusively see how each DX7 Wanna Be is capable of emulating the original DX7 MK1 from over 30 years ago!!!!!
With more than 30 years gaps with some of the DX7 Wanna Be's, has the original DX7 MK1 finally met its match? Are those modern DX7 emulators far better than more than 30 years old DX7 MK1?
We test drive 6 DX7 apps, VSTs and hardware in total.
FM Player - This is a very unique iOS app as it is not a FM synth, but it's DX7 sample player.
KQ Dixie - This is an iOS app that is design to emulate the DX7 MK1 faithfully with additional features, like a filter and effect.
Dexed - This is a free DX7 emulation VST for your Mac and Windows. I have used a new version for this test drive.
Native Instrument FM8 - This is a powerful FM synth VST that can import DX7 patches. It is far more feature rich than Dexed and its a unique FM synth in on its own. For this test drive, my focus is for its DX7 patch compatibility.
Arturia DX7 - V: This is a new VST that claims to have faithfully emulated the DX7 MK1 with added features.
Korg Volca FM - A hardware FM synth that is DX7 compatible. It has built-in sequencer and an effect as well. So, over 30 years in technological advances, can it perfectly emulate the original DX7 MK1 with a wide range of DX7 patches?"

New Radikal Delta Cep A First Audio Demo
Published on Jan 16, 2018 Jörg Schaaf
"Only for getting a first idea, how it actually sounds when you are running a little sequence into the Delta! I was actually checking the current state of the envelope generators. The for my most essential section is around 3:12 just after the section which is unfortunately clipped. Short, snappy sequencer sounds with really short envelopes. At the end I crank up the digital delay in a good way"

"A Patch example showing the Moog DFAM as the only sound source creating a Bass Drum, Bass Line and a third part in a groove.
Using a Korg SQ-1 in random mode to sequence the Bass Line.
Moog DFAM's sequencer is playing the Bass Drum.
LFO wave from the Intellijel Dixie II+ is modulating VCO#2 of the Moog DFAM.
Both VCOs from the Moog DFAm are patched out of the DFAM into VCAs and then to the Make noise LxD low pass gate.
LxD is modulated by Maths."

Arturia Announces New MiniBrute 2S - Sequencer Desktop Version of the MiniBrute 2
Published on Jan 16, 2018 Arturia
And a set of user videos from loopop, BoBeats, and Hispasonic:
The press release from Arturia:
"Following the announcement of MiniBrute 2, Arturia have also revealed an exciting new sequencer variant: the MiniBrute 2S. This is the second of three new products which will all be available at stores from March 2018.
MiniBrute 2S is a sophisticated analog monosynth sharing the signal creation, sound shaping power, and modular capabilities also found in the newly announced MiniBrute 2. It replaces its keyboard with a set of performance pads as well as an advanced, intuitive and addictive, triple-layer sequencer with space to save up to 64 sequences, and the ability to chain them together to create flowing performances. Its multiple layers not only let you create melodic sequences, but also create extra levels of parameter automation to really make your music come alive.
Perfectly geared toward the modern musician, MiniBrute 2S is a synth that promises to bring every element of your creative environment together, and unleash the true potential of modularity. As the keyboard-based version MiniBrute 2, MiniBrute 2S features semi-modular architecture, giving users the chance to rework its internal signal routing by patching into its comprehensive CV/Gate patch bay. The MiniBrute 2S can also take a commanding role in your modular setup, letting you use external modules to affect its sound, or send signals or sequences from the MiniBrute 2S to your Eurorack modules.
Arturia’s latest small-but-mighty monosynths are the successors to their debut analog instrument, the MiniBrute. The first incarnation was released in 2012, and turned the industry on its head, offering a unique, affordable analog synth experience with attitude. The MiniBrute 2S features many of the amazing features that made its predecessor a must-have instrument, including mixable waveforms, the acidic Steiner-Parker filter, and the chaotic Brute Factor.
MiniBrute 2S also features the all-new Arturia Link, an exciting innovation that will help unify and democratize your creative environment. To find out more information on the Link system and how it integrates with other devices, stay tuned for more Arturia product announcements, and all of your questions shall be answered.
To get hands on with all 3 of the new products, find Arturia at NAMM 2018. We’ll be at booth #11910. We can’t wait to see you."

RMIF Elsita Soviet Electro
Published on Jan 15, 2018 Zachary Berry
"Got an RMIF Elsita analog drum module off eBay and have been playing around to see what it can do. They were apparently produced in Russia in the late 80s. Here I'm triggering it from the 707 - four of the 707 outs are going into the Elsita.
Here's a breakdown:
808 Snare: Volca Sample through Wedge reverb - nothing special about the wedge other than it looks cool :)
707 hats
All other drum sounds are from the Elsita. They are being ran through the Moog Werkstatt's VCF.
Bass: Volca Bass (with Logic's Echo plugin)
Pads: Alpha Juno (with the Valhalla Shimmer reverb plugin, played on the Keystep)
And the Flashback pedal wasn't used, it ended up being too much and I was too lazy to get a longer cable."
DOPPELGÄNGER/ Prophet-6, OB-6, System-8, Sub37 + More
Published on Jan 15, 2018 MR TUNA Music
"This time around JarJar Bass starts us off with another cool line from the Prophet 6, and then we come in with some 707 from the TR8 and some swelling arpeggios from the System-8. I'm sure there's some Juno-106 at some point, and then we get a classic Moog bass from my favourite patch on the Sub37.
Somewhere down the line we don some keys on the P6 and OB6 and then just get into the zone for a while. As always Squarp Pyramid is capturing the performance live, from the synths back to the synths!
