Load Runner-Pulse Synthesizers /Granular synthesizer with vocal in music
Published on May 27, 2019 Dziam Bass
"I have today a small movie from the last use in my evening session of the Load Runner module from Pulse Synthesizers .
Load Runner is a recently released granular synthesizer module.
This time I used just the vocals in the music on which I made light pellets and the usual vocal turned into a different psychedelic vocal, released by Black Octasource from Erica Synths with a very slow lfo, drums comes from Pico Drums also Erica Synths.
Load Runner allows us to load many samples up to 15 at a time and pellet them.
everything can be loaded from the usb memory, the memory cleans quickly and intuitively so you can, in principle, change the samples and search for new amazing sounds.
The Load Runner granular synthesizer allows you to load 16bit WAV files from USB flash drive into the modules internal memory and playback grains from those samples.
he Selected sample is shown graphically on the LCD from which grains are randomly generated between the start and range lines controlled by front panel and CV.
Grain length density and pitch are also controlled via the front panel or CV. Three pitch modes are selectable via the settings menu. The grain amplitude envelope is selectable from 10 shapes.
Recording of the module output to USB as a mono 16bit WAV file allows it to be reloaded into memory for granular playback.
There is also the ability to skip between samples using CV, i.e. sample up / down."

"This module is based on ideas suggested by Lucas Abela.
It is three vactrol based bandpass filters in parallel, each filter is fed into a voltage controlled delay stage. The outputs are available individually or there is an OUT ALL where all 3 signals are mixed.
Me being me designed the delays to go into stutter/zipper/breakdown territory to create the usual noise I love. If desired the delays can be built to remain in their normal operating regions.
PCB set = USD25
Panel = USD26
Assembled = USD260
build info coming soon"

Circuit bent "alphabet pal" talking caterpillar

"A talking toy with pitch control knob added and ability to trigger all the switch inputs over MIDI so they can be sequenced into slightly unsettling gibberish / beatboxing or even better to chop up the nursery rhyme tunes into some off-kilter woozy psych
Using a Moog MF drive pedal for tone control and lowpass filter (to knock off a little bit of the scratchiness) and Boss digital delay. MFB Tanzbar for drums... enjoy! don't have nightmares."

A-111-6 Miniature Synthesizer
Module A-111-6 is a complete miniature monophonic synthesizer module that has these features available:
VCO
Tune: manual tune control (with an internal jumper the range can be set to ~ +/-1 half an octave or ~ +/-2.5 octaves)
Oct.: range switch -1 / 0 / +1 octave
Mod.: modulation depth (attenuator wired to the Mod. socket)
Dest.: switch that is used to address the modulation to frequency modulation (position FM) or pulsewidth modulation (positon PM), in center positon no modulation
PW: manual pulsewidth control for rectangle waveform, PW can be also modulated by the Mod. input as mentioned above
Wave: waveform switch (sawtooth / off / triangle), the sum of the waveform chosen by this switch and the rectangle is fed into the VCF (to turn the rectangle off the PW control has to be set fully CCW or fully CW)
1V/Oct. (socket): external CV input for VCO frequency (1V/octave)
access to internal bus CV (via jumper, optional, please remove the bus jumper if this feature is not used to avoid unwanted frequency modulation as then the unused CV line of the bus works as a kind of antenna)
triangle core VCO, frequency range about 32Hz ... 8kHz (??? still to be specified)
Balance unit
The balance unit is made of two VCAs which are controlled by the sum of manual Balance control and the balance CV input in the opposite direction.
The audio input of VCA1 is hard-wired to the VCO output, audio input 2 is connected to the socket Ext.In.
The output of the balance unit is used as audio input for the VCF
Bal.: manual balance control, fully CCW the internal VCO is used, fully CW the external signal (Ext.In) is used, at center position both signals have about the same level
CV Bal.: CV input for balance (range about 0...+5V)
Ext. In: external audio input for VCA2, about 5 Vpp level required for similar loudness as the internal VCO
this socket is normalled to the internal VCO suboctave f/2 signal (rectangle with half the frequency), if no external signal is applied the suboctave signal is used as the second signal for the balance unit
Powerful functions in tiny Eurorack modules from ZLOB // Superbooth 2019

"I've known about ZLOB modules for a while now with their most popular module the 'VnIcursal ' (6 channel mixing VCA) catching my attention a while ago. It's nice seem ZLOB pushing some powerful functions in small spaces with a new great sounding wave folder, chaos modulation source, dual VCO in 4hp and plenty more."

Performance orientated Eurorack modules from LPZW // Superbooth 2019
Published on May 27, 2019 DivKidVideo
"It's great to see some updates, expanders and new modules from LPZW. With intelligent muting and mixing options, Intellijel format 1U format MIDI to triggers and a new mute expander for the VPME Euclidean Circles too. I really like the look of those Pocket Operator adapters and expanders bringing those into Eurorack too."
