"Here we have the 4HP wide 21 oscillator stereo oscillator - Chainsaw from Acid Rain Technology. This is 3 voices of 7 oscillators each that are spread across the stereo image with controls for detune and blending between saw and square waves. Huge super saws and super squares are easy to fine tune and tuning is simple with an elegant encoder for coarse semitone tuning and then a button press for fine tune. It's a simple to use module that just pushed my enjoyment of making music and patches so there's lots of examples in the video. As always skip around with the timing index and sections listed below.

EPro Theremin connected to modular synthesizer via CV to freeze audio (& more!)

"Je m'étais promis" is a short demo track to illustrate the use of a theremin as a controller connected to a modular synth to :
- Freeze audio (2HP Freez)
- Change note of an arpeggiator (2HP ARP)
- Change the cutoff frequency of a filter (2HP LPF)
while playing the theremin in a regular way at the same time.

"The launch of the new Expressive É Osmose was last week - the 49 key, keyboard based instrument introduces a new concept in keyboard expression, with a completely custom keybed that controls: - initial pressure (highly sensitive), secondary pressure and lateral movement (side to side).

We were very keen to see it for ourselves and had a visit from Expressive É with a prototype of Osmose - it will be changing - larger LCD, industrialized production etc. This was a mockup of the key-bed, connected to a laptop running the sound engine, the finished unit will be stand alone."

Teenage Engineering OP-Z demo (Aquifex)

"I finally got around to making some sort of simple Teenage Engineering OP-Z demo, all programmed/sequenced on the OP-Z (internal FX added to each track) and mixed down live to a stereo recorder and replacing the camera's crappy audio track - no mastering, and some mistakes. :-)

The video shows a tiny bit of the amazing power of this little gray "chocolate bar" gadget.

Here I'm using mute groups to add and remove sequencer parts and realtime performance FX (like the Pocket Operators) like a sort of DJ approach.

More fun stuff to come...

Features not used: step components (the real secret weapon), internal FX tracks or the mastering track, tape FX (like the OP-1), pitch bender, or the installed OPLab connectivity module (in photo - syncs pocket operators, MIDI gear, and modular CV/gate).
This little guy does a lot!

A few extra crazy features of the OP-Z involve running DMX lights and Unity engine graphics from the sequencer (both have their own channels). DMX runs over USB and the Unity channel controls Unity graphics/animation or photos/FX via Bluetooth with files on an iPhone/iPad which can be hooked to a projector for live performance. A true all-in-one solution for some people.
