Five Polysynths - Which Should You Buy?
video upload by Alex Ball
"To answer the many questions I get about these specific modern polysynths I've decided to cover it off in a massive video. Hopefully this clears up which synth is or isn't the one for you!
All sounds are presented "raw" meaning that only FX from the synths themselves were used (if they have them) and that there was no processing of the audio afterwards. What you hear is what the synths sound like.
Notes:
1) Cheers to Markus for the Hydrasynth loan.
2) Cheers to CALC for sorting the Summit.
3) Cheers to UDO for sorting Super 6.
4) Cheers to Roland for sorting the Jupiter-X.
5) Cheers to Sequential for bringing back the OG Prophet.
6) First person to say "i cAn'T bELiEvE yOu fOrGoT tHe pOlyBrUtE" or something similar has to do 50 press ups and 10 Hail Marys.

Kurstin x Grohl: The Hanukkah Sessions 2021
Playlist (in synth spotting order). Enjoy:
1. Kurstin x Grohl: The Hanukkah Sessions 2021: Night Three
Barry Pincus – not only one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th (or any) century, but a mega-mensch to boot! So, like a good neighbor, you deserve a break today. So grab a bucket of chicken and let’s get stuck on….. BARRY MANILOW’S “Copacabana”!2. Kurstin x Grohl: The Hanukkah Sessions 2021: Night Four
Quite possibly the loudest and proudest of hard rocking Jews, David Lee Roth has gone on record crediting his Bar Mitzvah preparation as his earliest vocal training. He became a rockstar the day he became a man: Diamond Dreidel DLR and Van Halen...with "Jump."3. Kurstin x Grohl: The Hanukkah Sessions 2021: Night Two
Once upon a time, two nice Jewish boys from Queens named Jeffery Hyman and Thomas Erdelyi changed the world forever with their music….. as Joey and Tommy Ramone! GABBAI GABBAI HEY! Ladies and gentlemen….It’s the Ramones! Blitzkreig Bop!4. Kurstin x Grohl: The Hanukkah Sessions 2021: Night One
Welcome back to the menorah, y’all. Let’s kick it this year’s Hanukkah sessions with one of Dallas, Texas’s favorite Jewish daughters. So put on your coffee shop spectacles and your Betsey Johnson dress and HAVA listen to this… "Stay” by Lisa Loeb.5. Kurstin x Grohl: The Hanukkah Sessions 2021: Night Five (Featuring Violet Grohl)
Despite this song's mention of a "Moschino bra you bought me last Christmas," it's common knowledge that the amazing woman behind the song was actually Jewish. Gone far too soon...Ms. Amy Winehouse and "Take The Box."
New Division 6 Dual Mini Eurorack Synthesizer Module
C.K. builds a Division-6 dual mini synth eurorack kit (eurorack)
video upload by C.K. Haun
"Another Division-6 product, this time their mini dual Synthesizer. Not a particularly difficult build itself, just a lot of soldering for 20 some odd jacks and 20 knobs. But a very nice unit to play, recommended.

00:10 Intro
0:45 What’s in the bag
14:08 LED spacers, a good idea
17:11 flush-cutting the bottom row of solder beads
23:32 Two tight solder spots
26:29 Assembly done
27:08 Power up and test
via Division 6
This Eurorack module houses two complete synthesizer voices. They’re based on the Business Card Synthesizer with all its 8-bit goodness, but adds CV inputs for most of the controls.
Features (each synth)
Pulse, square, triangle, and sawtooth waves
Glide
2 LFOs with pulse, square, saw, triangle and ramp shapes
Attack / Decay
Low-pass filter
Sample and Hold
Manual gate trigger (can be locked on)
Course and fine-tune controls

"Testing out Erica Synths Zend Delay. Really nice delay with unique features.
The filter part is really nice to cut out the muddy low end on endless delays."
More than meets the eye // Modbap OSIRIS // review and walkthrough
video upload by Starsky Carr
"Here's my review demo and walkthrough of the Modbap Osiris. Its a really flexibly and interesting digital oscillator that's described as bi-fidelity. It has a 32x32 matrix of waveforms they call a wavepak. Very cool, plus a sub with independent tuning and timbre modes for tonnes of variation: sync, dual oscillators, FM, wave shaping etc, On top of that it has subtle to complete decimation with the fidelity knob.. inspired by the Commodore 64 :)"

Loop singing and drumming: Soma Enner live west coast avant-garde synthesizer electronic music
video upload by EthanJamesMusic
"Here is another performance video using the Soma Laboratory Enner instrument, designed by Sistor. My goal for this was to make kind of a tribal ambient sound using my voice into the piezo pickup and by layering non metered finger drumming with a looper pedal, and then morphing into a meditative bass and synth sound. This synth is very geared towards both drones and rhythms, as well as using the piezo pickup with the case, spring, and rubber bands to make added percussive sounds. I'm very excited to continue exploring and find even more sounds. I'm making use of the resonance of the case to layer in my voice and finger drums. Later I fade to a drone layer with rhythm from the click part of the synthesizer. This synth is patched using touch, and I love the idea of having an instrument that I can use my hands on to create sound and have a direct connection to the music. I am using the west coast technique of starting with something and spinning it out like a centrifuge. I'm processing the sound through an Eventide H9 pedal with some reverb and a Boss RC-5 looper pedal. Hopefully this camera angle also helps you learn something!"
