Xaoc Devices Berlin: the oscillator that opens up the Leibniz Binary Subsystem
video upload by Tom Churchill
"On the surface, Xaoc Devices Berlin is a simple compact VCO offering square and saw waves with hard sync, FM input and octave switching. The most interesting part lies behind the panel and that is the Leibniz Binary Subsystem interface, namely LBZ out and LBZ in. The frontpanel LBZ LINK button and its corresponding gate input switch between the default saw wave and a signal that has been passed through any Leibniz module (or a combination of Leibniz modules) connected to Berlin. Add Xaoc Devices Jena for wave processing and the output is no longer a simple saw wave – you now have a vintage-style wavetable oscillator with a penchant for the experimental due to its open, hackable nature. Berlin operates in a way similar to the classic PPG Wave and Fairlight CMI synths and employs a variable sample rate of an extremely widerange internal clock. As the sample rate changes with the oscillator frequency, Berlin's internal square and saw waves exhibit no aliasing effect. The whole frequency range spans from 30 seconds in LFO mode up to 250 kHz (!) with the clock reaching an astounding 20 MHz. Add to that voltage control over all parameters and the result is a highly versatile module capable of creating a significantly diverse palette of unusual waveforms.
Xaoc Devices Berlin notable features:
– wide-range VCO with LFO mode (over 20 octaves of tracking);
– Leibniz Binary Subsystem interface;
– extremely widerange clock source;
– manual and voltage control over all parameters (including octave switching and LBZ LINK!);
– simultaneous Square and Saw/Leibniz wave outputs;
– extensive waveshaping potential when combined with Xaoc Devices Leibniz Subsystem modules, e.g., Jena or Rostock"

Synthium in Solarium. NanoSeq-9 is a Sequencer Synthesizer in Blue Light Theremin
video upload by TroniCraft Instruments
"This is an improvised demo of some of the things the NanoSeq-9 can do. It has two photo sensors that modify the frequencies.
The NanoSeq-9 is a digital sequencer inspired by LoFi, chip music, circuit-bending and retro video game sounds."

Hans Zimmer 'RadioPhonic' Synth @ Superbooth 24 w/ AJH Synth
video upload by AJH Synth Official
"Hans Zimmer's 'RadioPhonic' Synth from AJH Synth @ Superbooth 24 - This monster MiniMod Eurorack modular system was commissioned by Hans himself, and he was kind enough to allow us to build a limited number of exact replicas which will be individually built to order by AJHSynth. Full details of the system, along with an interview with Hans Zimmer about his use of the MiniMod system, can be found at https://ajhsynth.com.
We will have one such RadioPhonic system on display in our bungalow at Superbooth 24, along with a MinMod Keyz, a 9U full system, and a huge monster case full of AJH modules.
Richard Quirk, and Wayne Taylor (DreamsOfWires/Tomorrow the cure) will also be there representing AJH with Allan J Hall himself. We'd be glad to chat about the modules and demonstrate some in action, so feel free to pop by.
The AJH SYNTH Eurorack range consists of high-end modules, all hand-made in the UK, most of which are based on classic, vintage designs, authentically recreating the circuitry of much sought-after analogue instruments and technologies of the past, whilst greatly expanding them, and bringing them to modern Eurorack levels of convenience, limitless flexibility, and reliability.

ambient talkie: ep 37 - norns & data sonification
video upload by tworoundrobins
"i always try to find interesting ways of generating sound...here is where data sonification comes in. although this is quite a new topic for me and I'll definitely dive deeper, just to satisfy my curiosity if nothing else, I thought that giving a quick overview on some data sonification based scripts might make a nice little episode. enjoy!

Model D MM1100 TT feedback
video upload by Ross Totino and Fans of Collision
"This synth patch uses a Behringer Model D with an Electro-Harmonix MM1100-TT Analog Delay set up in a feedback loop. The video includes a patch diagram demonstrating how the AU Silent Way plugin from Expert Sleepers generates an envelope for the MM1100's CV input to control delay time. As mentioned, the delay is in a feedback loop with the synthesizer."

Sibilla v1.3: introducing the LFO Settings Mode
video upload by Clatters Machines
"Sibilla v1.3 is here and brings in a new LFO setting mode in which you can modify the LFO waveforms affecting the internal stereophony and movement of harmonics and subharmonics.
What's new?
Entering the new LFO Settings Mode allows you to choose LFO waves other than the default and classic sinusoidal waveform such as:
- Ramp Up;
- Ramp Down;
- Sine+Oct;
- Sine+3rd;
In addition to this, a new Freeze Mode has been added to allow the user to freeze the stereophony movement to his favourite sweet spot for steady tones, ideal for arpeggios and melodies.
How to
You can get access to the LFO Settings Page by double-clicking the Boost button: the Boost LED will now start blinking to confirm this new mode has been entered.
Now a single click on the center button allows to navigate through the different available option.
Each click lets you switch to the next option and cycle back to the first once the sixth and last mode (Freeze Mode) has been selected.
While in LFO Settings Mode, all the other parameters of Sibilla are still working so that instant changes can be heard.
Once you're done, double-click again the Boost button to exit the LFO Settings Page
Freeze Mode
In this configuration the two LFO are freezed and so the stereophony of the module. The LFO knob and the LFO CV input now act as balancers and they can be used to scan across the freezed stereo spectrum."
