Morning jam with the Mos-lab 2500
video upload by batchas
"I've had a lot of fun improvising with the system this morning. I hope you'll enjoy too.
I took the patch from the day before, change the sequence, added the 1047 Filter/Resonator, tweaked some values... A new chapter!"
Muro Box-N40 Standard, Continuum, Osmose and Onde
video upload by Christophe Duquesne
"Muro Box-N40 Standard music box track with an Onde from La Voix du Luthier, a Continuum and an Eagan Matrix Module from Haken Audio and an Osmose from Expressive E The N40 is an enhanced version of the N20, the main additional feature being a chromatic scale and internal piezo microphone, both being huge improvements !
The Muro Box-N40 s controlled via MIDI by a Korg SV1.
The voice is built from and analysis of the voice of Khatija Rahman and resynthesised by the Continuum. The pitch and shimmer effect on the Murobox are done by an Eagan Matrix Module. Both are done thanks to the new 10.40 features of the Eagan Matrix.
The murobox is recorded with 3 internal piezo and an IQ7 microphone. The piezo are connected to a small preamp (TubeMP from ART, but multiple others will work). The output of the preamp goes to a Eurorack (in an Eagan Matrix Module). I then a processing chain with a notch filter cuting a frequency band aroud 280/300 Hz, and a noisegate in order to lower the motor noise. The Eagan Matrix module then adds shimmers and pitch effects."

Lullatone "Corduroy" played on a Muro Box N40 and OP-1 Field
video upload by Lullatone
"Muro Box sent a prototype of their upcoming N40 midi music box to test out. This new unit can also do the black keys on a keyboard! (the original N20 version is limited to the C major scale) Here, I'm controlling the plucking of the music box's tines with the OP-1 Field's keyboard by MIDI over USB-C, while sometimes adding in soft sine tone synth sounds coming out of the OP-1 at the same time. Soft sine tones and music boxes have been the Lullatone dream team since the early 2000s : )"
See the Muro Box label below for additional posts.
"Which Music Box Has the Best Sound?
The Beautiful Sound of a Music Box Comes from these key components: Comb, Metal Base, and Wood Box
The N20 and N40 Standard models share the same material and design, differing only in the number of notes and the inclusion of semitones. The N40 Sublime is our flagship model, featuring a four-comb configuration, an acacia wood box, and pure brass base that adds a unique character to its resonance."
"Since its inception, the Muro Box’s external MIDI functionality makes the dream of using a music box as an instrument a reality. Especially with the N40’s 40-note scale, which includes semitones, it meets the arrangement and composition needs of musicians!"

Polygonal Waveforms... REDUX! Let's explore the world of polygonal wavetables, correctly this time.
video upload by Keith Crosley
"We're synthesizing waveforms and wavetables with math... And we're correcting a few errors. Come along with me as we explore the supernaturally bell-like sounds of waveforms made with the polygonal number series. And... I know it seems unlikely... but I discovered that I had made an error in my original calculations of the polygonal waveforms. But it turns out it doesn't matter because what I came up with was bad-ass, anyway. Along the way, I drop a few synthesizer programming tips, roll my eyes, and make some bell-icous synthesizer tones. Grab your n-gon, and let's get polygonal with it in this 'rock-the-bells' episode!"

DELIA Delights Custom Keycaps Replacement User Guide Melbourne Instruments
video upload by Melbourne Instruments
"DELIA Delights are MX-style compatible keycaps designed for use with Melbourne Instruments' DELIA Synthesizer. Delights are available in replacement kits of 45 keycaps + keypuller. Choose from 5 colors: FRESH MINT (Green), VANILLA (off white), EARL GREY (Cool grey), LICORICE (Black) and SPARKLING (clear/frosted). DELIA Delights are now available from selected Melbourne Instruments Dealers.
❗️ PLEASE NOTE: DELIA Delights are NOT compatible with NINA❗️
⚠️ Take care and only use the keypuller provided when replacing your keycaps. DO NOT USE metal objects as you could damage your Delia.
Removing your existing keycaps:
1. Switch the power off.
2. Position the keypuller towards the lower half of the keycap.
3. Click the keypuller into one side of the keycap you want to remove, then the following side. Don't try to grab both sides at the same time!
4. Carefully lift one side followed by the opposite side.
Fitting your new keycaps:
1. Check the orientation of the keycap, the little window needs to be at the top.
2. Position and centre the keycap over the pin.
3. Gently push the keycap into place.
4. Power on your Delia and have fun — we've been told different coloured keycaps sound awesome too 😁
⚠️ WARNING ⚠️
DO NOT EAT the keycaps, they might taste funny and will be hard to digest 🤢🤮🤮🤣"

IRCAM's ContinuuCon - Russell Hoffman uCVC
video upload by ContinuuCon
"Russell Hoffman presenting the uCVC at IRCAM's ContinuuCon"
Note the above is from 2018. They also attended ContinuuCon in 2023.
Pics and details of the uCVC via Evaton Technologies' Reverb shop
"Each µCVC is painstakingly hand-soldered in small batches.
The Evaton Technologies µCVC allows a Haken Audio ContinuuMini, Continuum Slim, or EaganMatrix module to control your Eurorack synthesizer. The continuum surface allows motion in three axes: X (left/right) Y (front to back) and Z (pressure into the surface).
These three motions are converted to control voltages at 16-bit resolution. Additional outputs include "W", which is freely assignable in the EaganMatrix Editor, and "F", which is a dedicated gate output corresponding to the presence of a finger on the Continuum surface.
Two µCVC's can be daisy-chained (daisy-chain cable not included in this batch, but contact me if you need one) behind the front panel to allow tracking two finger's worth of data."
