NoiseSpace - Noise textures and backgrounds (iOS/Mac). Quick start demo.
video upload by Igor Vasiliev
"NoiseSpace is an experimental sound generator based on simplex noise, which is then used in a granular synthesis algorithm. This design allows for the creation of a vast array of diverse waveforms rich in harmonics with a rich low-frequency spectrum."
An Entire Orchestra as Wavetables?: Introducing KRC Orchestral Impressions
video upload by Keith Crosley
"How can we convert audio samples to wavetables? What are the main challenges? Why does converting violin samples to wavetables come out sounding like a Wookie? Why is everything so hard? I tackle some of these questions (and probably raise a lot of others!) as I talk-talk-talk about my new wavetable collection, KRC Orchestral Impressions. So grab your phase-locked loop, align your harmonics, and get ready for this I-don't-think-we-should-convert-samples-to-wavetables-but-I-did-it-anyway-a-go-go episode of your favorite talky synthesizer content show!
LINKS!:
NEW... and just $5! KRC Orchestral Impressions Wavetables — 38,000 wavetables in all of the major formats (modwave, multi/poly, Serum, Vital, Pigments, Phase Plant, Surge, you-name-it!), extracted from orchestral samples, plus Python scripts to do your own sample-to-wavetable conversions. Just like KRC Mathwaves, this collection will grow and change over time. Get in while the gettin's good! https://www.wavetables.lol/l/orch

Eurorack SEM filter comparisons
video upload by John Schussler
"Looking at several eurorack clones of the Oberheim SEM filter, including:
Doepfer A-106-5 SEM type VCF
God's Box Humpback
Studio Electronics SEM
Plankton Electronics Spice VCF
Bubblesound Dual SEM20"
Eurorack SEM Filter comparison - session 2
video upload by John Schussler
"This comparison is low pass only. It would take far too long to compare (in what I view as a useful way) every output and mode, so this is it for now.
In theory they're all based on the SEM circuitry, but some do have alterations.
I'm less concerned with "purity" or adherence to the "original" sound as I am with how good they sound period.
Source VCO is an Acid Rain chainsaw. Envelope is Zadar. Sequencer is Pittsburgh Modular microSequence.

Drone synth MIDI control
video upload by Ghost In Translation
"Upcoming firmware update 2.0.2 for Drone is bringing MIDI CC input via TRS and USB.
For this video I connected a UC33 MIDI DIN output to a TRS adapter to Drone's MIDI input on the back. I then demonstrate controlling all 6 settings from the controller as well as the module. Both can be used at the same time, they add up acting like offsets so there is no conflict between them.
