Will These Eurorack Filters Destroy the Classic 303 Sound?

video upload by Metamyther

"In this video, we run a 303 through an array of Eurorack filters to explore the raw, gritty textures perfect for industrial techno and experimental electronic music. Watch as the iconic acid bassline is transformed by an array of filters, from resonant low-pass sweeps to aggressive distortion and modulation to warbly choruses. Whether you're a Eurorack enthusiast, hardware synth lover, or acid techno producer looking to push your sound design further, this deep dive showcases the power of combining classic gear with modern modular flexibility. How to Make the Korg Volca FM Sound More Analog!

video upload by Dylan Ferno

"How to Make the Korg Volca FM Sound More Analog:
Quick tips on how to make a digital FM synth, such as the Korg Volca FM, have a more analog sound. Learn about the differences between digital Vs. analog synths and how to steer your synth in that direction to improve your sound design. This video explores some simple tweaks to get a richer, warmer sound with:

1. Pitch Instability - Add detuning with LFO, add chorus

2. Harmonics - First increase decay on mod envelope knob to remove envelope snappiness. Put in mono or unison mode. Next Lower ratios of operators (FrEC). Ratio of 0 is bassier, a 1:1 ratio is more saw-wave like, and 1:2 is more square-wave like. Adjust velocity and algorithm to taste.

3. Warmth with feedback - Add noise/distortion by increasing feedback between levels of 5 to 7. Adjust algorithm and velocity accordingly.

Final step (Optional): Add more pitch instability by slightly increasing operator fine control (FrEF)

OB-6 Synthesizer with Echolocator

video upload by Brian Schaft

"The OB6 Synthesizer has the ability to make wonderful deep plucky sounds as well as smooth pads. I used the Echolocator, made by erica synths, for all the effects, including the shimmery sound. Despite the OB having a decent on-board BBD delay, I found this combination is a symbiotic pair."

Melbourne Instruments NINA - Firmware Update - Multi-Track Sequencer!

video upload by The Unperson

"In today's video I am exploring the latest firmware update for the Melbourne Instruments Nina which radically expands the sequencer from a quite basic 16-step sequencer into a multi-timbral, multi-track sequencer with an insane amount of new features. There is per-step parameter locking, loads of new noise hits for making percussion, as well as live recording making it incredibly easy to perform modulations and visually see what is being modulated. For more info head on over to the Melbourne Instruments website, where you can also find my presets for free!
