Sinevibes Luminance Shimmer Reverb Now Available

video upload by Sinevibes

"Luminance is a shimmer reverb effect developed by Sinevibes. Available for KORG prologue, minilogue xd, and NTS-1. Product page: https://sinevibes.com/korgluminance"

"Luminance is a shimmer reverb plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1. It’s a novel take on this highly coveted effect: an ethereal reverb whose tail gradually pitch-shifts itself upwards or downwards. The plugin is based on a feedback delay network which incorporates a granular pitch shifter and chorus-style time modulation. Thanks to the very unique and meticulously executed tuning of its individual components, Luminance smoothly follows the original musical content and creates a beautiful background sound layer – reminiscent of a dreamy symphony of strings or pipe organs.

HIGHLIGHTS

Studio-grade DSP algorithms, calibrated specifically for KORG’s hardware platform.
Individually chosen mapping for every plugin parameter, providing a very natural feel.
Built-in lag filters for noise-free, ultra-smooth parameter adjustment.
Optimized for maximum performance and stability on each individual device type."

Sinevibes Isomer Ensemble Delay Now Available

video upload by Sinevibes

"Isomer is an ensemble delay effect developed by Sinevibes. Available for KORG prologue, minilogue xd, and NTS-1. Product page: https://sinevibes.com/korgisomer"

"Isomer is an ensemble delay plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1. It has two main stereo delays offering tempo-synchronized time adjustment and near-infinite feedback. Their outputs are sent into four additional delays (two per channel) with their own individual feedback lines and with their times being modulated by four separate LFO signals. Thanks to the mutual phase offsets between these LFOs, and subtle feedback, the delay tail gets a smooth and highly musical detuning effect similar to chorus ensemble. Due to the opposing modulation between the left and right channels, Isomer also adds an extra dimension within the stereo field.

Studio-grade DSP algorithms, calibrated specifically for KORG’s hardware platform.
Individually chosen mapping for every plugin parameter, providing a very natural feel.
Built-in lag filters for noise-free, ultra-smooth parameter adjustment.

follow-up to Hollow vast space reverb: coming soon for KORG synthesizers "Hollow is a vast space reverb plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1. At its core is a feedback delay network with as many as 64 connections, which can produce a truly lush, almost three-dimensional reverb sound. With all settings maxed out, this engine is capable of tail times that exceed 120 seconds, while still having a smooth and naturally damped exponential decay. Hollow also features our trademark unison-style modulation via three phase-shifted sine oscillators – which adds highly musical depth and richness.

Ambient synth jam with Dreadbox Nymphes, Erebus, Kinotone Ribbons, Chase Bliss Mood MkII

video upload by Jay Hosking

"A live, semi-improvised synthesizer jam performed entirely on hardware.

I recently bought the Kinotone Ribbons, and a member of my Patreon community wisely suggested that I run the Dreadbox Nymphes through it. He was very right (thanks, Robbie!): the Nymphes already has tons of analog synth character, but the Ribbons' stereo reverb plus its tape effects really made the perfect ambient sound.

I played around on the Keystep until I found some chords I liked, sequenced the chord progression on the Keystep, and then went searching for a second synth to complement the Nymphes & Ribbons.

I settled on the Erebus because it's small, sounds fantastic, and has lots of hands-on control. To add some character of its own, I used the Mood MkII to add some sample-reduced tape, plus some of its own reverb. It ended up lo-fi in its own way, and quite different from the Nymphes & Ribbons combo.

At first I thought I might play the Erebus separately, but the slow pace, plus wanting to keep it meditative, made me try something different instead. Here, I sent the same sequencing data to both synths. However, since the Erebus was in mono mode, it had to choose a single note from the polyphony of the chords, leading to a sort of melody line of its own. It was a happy accident, and a peaceful finished song.

Dreadbox Nymphes into Kinotone Ribbons - chords
Dreadbox Erebus into Chase Bliss Mood MkII - lead
Arturia Keystep 37 - sequencing

Thanks for listening.

Octatrack Arpeggiator improvised moody house jam + Nymphes + Sirin #dawless #synth #dreadbox

video upload by Hanjo Synth

"Welcome to this moody house improvised jam, where we explore the creative potential of combining different electronic music gear to make an atmospheric and hypnotic groove. In this session, we use a combination of Elektron boxes, including the Octatrack as the central hub for sequencing and effects, and two external analog synths, the Dreadbox Nymphes and the Moog Sirin, to add warmth and character to the sound.

The main technique we use here is the Octatrack arpeggiator, which allows us to create complex melodic patterns by triggering different notes in sequence. We use the arpeggiator in different ways, such as changing the speed, direction, and note range, to keep the rhythm evolving and interesting.

Throughout the video, you'll see and hear the different elements of the jam being introduced and manipulated, from the deep bassline of the Sirin to the ethereal pads of the Nymphes, to the glitchy drums and percussions of the Elektron boxes. We also use various effects, such as reverb, delay, and distortion, to enhance the textures and add depth to the mix.

The mood of the jam is introspective and contemplative, with a hint of melancholy and nostalgia. The sound evolves gradually, with subtle variations and nuances that create a sense of organic growth and development.

I hope you enjoy this moody house improvised jam and get inspired to experiment with your own gear and techniques. Let's dive in!"

Dreadbox Nymphes unboxing! Music from my first jam with Digitakt. #synthesizer #dreadbox #nymphes

video upload by Hanjo Synth

"Welcome to my unboxing of the Dreadbox Nymphes Polyphonic synthesizer! This is an exciting release from Dreadbox, known for their high-quality analog synths and effects pedals.

Let's take a look at what's inside the box. As we open it up, we're greeted with the sleek and stylish design of the Nymphes. The synth has a beautiful metal enclosure and its sturdy construction makes it feel like a premium instrument right out of the box.

Moving on to the accessories, we have the MIDI to Din adapter, the USB cable for powering the synth and a quick start guide. The USB cable is a convenient design choice, allowing you to power the Nymphes directly from your computer or USB power supply.

Now, let's get the Nymphes hooked up and see what it can do! As we power it on, we're greeted with a warm and inviting sound. The Nymphes is a 6-voice polyphonic synth with one oscillator a sub oscillator and 2 LFOs, making it capable of creating rich and dynamic sounds with ease. The controls are not the most intuitive but they are all available with a few button combos allowing you you to quickly dial in the perfect sound for your music.

Overall, the Dreadbox Nymphes Polyphonic synthesizer is a fantastic addition to any musician's setup looking for a Polysynth. Its high-quality build, versatile sound, and hands on controls make it a joy to play and experiment with. I'm excited to dive deeper into what this synth can do, and I hope you are too!"

Soundtrack music with Korg ARP Odyssey, piano, Dreadbox Typhon, and Nymphes

video upload by Jay Hosking

"A song comprised of two live performances with both hardware and software.

I have a hand surgery scheduled for this week, and wanted to get in one last piano performance before my hand was out of commission for a while. These are the results. The end result seems clearly inspired by some of my favourite OST music.

Native Instruments Noire (played on Kawai CA49) - piano
Korg ARP Odyssey - melody
Arturia Analog Lab and Dreadbox Nymphes - pad
Reason Thor and Dreadbox Typhon - bass
Red70 controlled by MIDI Fighter Twister - doubled right hand piano arpeggio

Recorded as two live performances into Reason Studios' Reason. Additional effects (mainly Arturia and Reason) added in the box, plus EQ, compression, and limiting on the master.

Dreadbox Nymphes, Oxi One, bluebox, Zoom MS-70CDR

video upload by Waveformer

"My first jam with the Dreadbox Nymphes polyphonic analog synth, together with the Oxi One sequencer, the bluebox mixer/recorder and the Zoom MS-70CDR effect pedal. Jam and patch notes are included as text overlays in the video. All patches and project files are available for download with link in the video description.

The custom patch on the Nymphes uses a triangle oscillator with a dash of white noise. The velocity is set to modulate the filter envelope decay and the filter amount. And an LFO with some delay/fade in modulates pitch, creating a vibrato effect on longer notes. The LFO rate is set to key tracking, so higher notes have a faster rate.

The Nymphes has complete MIDI CC support for all parameters, and the Oxi One sequencer sends CC messages to vary the filter cutoff and the decay time for the amp and the filter envelopes on a per-step basis.

The Zoom MS70-CDR adds a bit of chorus, autopan and autopan delay, widening the stereo image from the Nymphes' mono output. For some parts of the jam, I turn on a Bass Octave effect that helps fatten the sound.

A big thank you to Dreadbox who sent me the Nymphes to play with.

The audio is recorded to SD card on a bluebox recorder/mixer and normalized in Audacity. Video is recorded on a Canon EOS M50 mk2 with the included EF-M 15-45mm lens. Audio and video is synchronized in DaVinci Resolve 18 (free version).

The Nymphes patch, Oxi One sequence and bluebox project settings can be downloaded from here:

The Zoom MS-70CDR patch is included below. To load a patch into the MS-70, connect your MS-70 to your computer using a USB cable, go to https://g200kg.github.io/zoom-ms-util..., right-click an available patch slot, select "Import Patch from text", and paste in this text.

Nymphes 6-Voice Analog Polyphonic Synthesizer - Huge FX patch

video upload by Chris Sneider

"Boasting an all-analog signal path, Dreadbox’s powerful Nymphes evokes classic single-VCO-per-voice polyphonic synths from the 1980s in a modern form factor. Nymphes offers seven different play modes — including polyphonic, unison, and duophonic options, and chord memory — with extensive modulation capabilities in the form of assignable LFO, aftertouch, velocity, and mod wheel (from an external keyboard controller). There are seven separate envelope generators for the VCA and the VCF/VCO — from grimy basslines to plasma-cutter leads, effervescent pads, and animated arpeggios, the Dreadbox Nymphes can do it all!"

Nymphes 6 voice Analog Synthesizer v. 2023

video upload by Chris Sneider

"The Dreadbox Nymphes offers six voices of polyphony, powered by a waveshaping voltage-controlled oscillator. Morph between triangle, sawtooth, and square waves with variable pulse-width modulation, and fortify your low end with the 1-octave-down sub-oscillator. Additionally, Nymphes has a white noise generator on tap for adding texture to patches, designing percussive sounds, and cultivating dramatic wind sounds and noise sweeps. Seven different play modes are available, including polyphonic 6-voice, polyphonic 3-note with two voices per note, duophonic with three voices per note, plus 6-voice and 4-voice unison modes and single-voice mono."
