"I felt I had to do an episode 02 after anything else and maybe this should have been EP01. But you just can't make shortcuts with this module. It takes time to understand it and appreciate it as a sculpting tool. I am slowly getting the hang of it and I just needed to share my progress.

Clockable Delay, Reverb and Chorus Effect!

Multi-FX 1U provides three carefully crafted and highly musical sounding delay based FX in a compact 1U package. Powerful on its own but even more fun as par of a bigger fx chain that could include the Digiverb 1U, Pedal I/O 1U and other 3U FX modules like the Rainmaker and Springray for some dub craziness.

Features Three FX modes:
DELAY – tap/clock syncable, controls for rate/division, tone (feedback low pass filtering), and feedback amount
CHORUS – controls for modulation rate, tone (brightness) and modulation depth

Atlantean Depths - 3x Atlantis Sequenced By Metropolis Via Shifty

"Shifty provides a powerful means to explode the functionality of a monophonic sequencer into a multi-voice melody factory.

In this case Metropolis is sequencing three Atlantis via Shifty. Planar 2 is modulating the Octave via the Aux A input to allow additional variation into the static sequence.

Effects are provided by Springray 2, an Electro-Harmonix Memory Boy, and a Boss PH-1 Phaser."

"This patch is a lot of fun to play!

One Dixie Saw is fed to Morgasmatron, the other to Polaris. Both are sequenced by Metropolis via Shifty, so the melody ping pongs between the two voices.

Planar 2 is transposing the sequence of Metropolis via the Aux A input, as well as the GAIN and FREQ of Springray 2's reverb. An Electro-Harmonix Memory Boy providing delay, and Shapeshifter is modulating both filters via OUT 2."

Tapographic Delay patch: Springtime

"A complete piece starring the Tapographic Delay, used as a thickener/widener for a few simple sound sources.

Four sources go through the Tapo, fully wet with lots of slow modulation, set to the factory tapography in Slot A2. At the beginning I present the dry sources, from top to bottom:
- Rings on its easter egg,
- Skorn Da Bask,
- a noisy sine from Cinnamon in self-oscillation, modulated by Batumi random waves
- Springray self-oscillating through Three Sisters.
Increasing the Wet signal on the Tapo, we can hear clearly the stereo widening effect, the scattered repetition and the "chorusing" from the slow modulations.

Single live take, recorded direct from Tapo output, no effects added.

This is a byproduct of "A Year of Time", released earlier on Hylé Tapes:

"This is my set from the MOTS event at Seward Park in Seattle WA USA October 7th 2017. *(also very short clips of the other performers at the end as a bonus)

Again I used my little Canon M5 mirror-less camera but this time with an 8mm fish-eye lens. Audio is a direct recording from the mixing desk. (thanks Bradley!)"

"Version two of the Springray provides a number of changes and improvements to the original design. The shelving EQs have been replaced with a parametric EQ with frequency, Q, and gain controls. The CV inputs for feedback and mix balance have been replaced with inputs to control the filter frequency and gain. Lastly, the feedback and limiter circuits have been redesigned, and the drive quality has been improved.

Features:
-Parametric EQ with controls for frequency, Q, and gain.
-Feedback path with virtual tube circuitry.
-Redesigned limiter circuit in feedback path to prevent high gain feedback from clipping the output.
-Selector switch to choose between three different connected tanks (one on the front and two on the back).
-Improved drive input with large gain (can overdrive the tank inputs).
-External processors can be inserted into the feedback path via the SEND/RETURN normalled inputs.
-Three different sizes of Accutronic tanks are available."
