"Do Not Disturb - Part 1

A live set built in a hotel room somewhere in Sweden based on messing around with random hip hop and pop-music vocals combining them with bits and pieces of unreleased Recue material. Original Frostwave Resonator MS20 Filter Clone Prototype

via the listing: "This is a rare prototype of the already rare Frostwave Resonator. When I first stumbled upon this I decided to contact Paul Perry, the man behind Frostwave, to try and get a little history on my new friend. He confirmed that this particular Resonator was indeed one of a kind. It was so early in production that he had not yet designed a housing for the Resonator, and just ended up using one of the original Funk.a.Duck housings. According to him, all internal wiring on this model is point to point, and with the purist in mind, this prototype is an exact copy of the MS20 filter section, part for part (this means no voltage control, sorry guys). This piece is fully functional, sold as is, with the orignal PSU, also kludged together by Paul Perry.

This is a very rare opportunity, and the closest thing to the MS20 sound without shelling out for an original MS. I've owned both this and the new Resonators, and this thing kills the newer ones. A lot can be said for point to point wiring, especially in high impedance circuit design."

Update via Brian in the comments: "Note the linited I/O ports there's only two , the production versions had 4 CV inputs for cutoff and resonance for high and low filters"

ULT Sound DS 2 Pro Muzer Drum Synthesizer

"Up for sale is the ultra rare ULT Sound DS2 drum synthesizer. A very unique and interesting unit made in Japan around mid / end 70ies. It has two independent drum synth channels and sounds pretty good for it’s size. It can be triggered via gate or audio signals at the back of the unit. The drumpads in the case are not working anymore, they have been removed."

Oberheim Cyclone MIDI Arpeggiator

"This is probably the most advanced hardware midi arpeggiator / sequencer from the 80′s. It is possible to have three arpeggios simultaneously, 16 programs and patterns can be transposed, inverted and repeated. This unit has been checked and the power supply input has been modified for save use with wrong polarity by Virtual Music."

Oscillator annd Noise Section of MacBeth micromac

via Ken MacBeth on Facebook

"This is the Oscillator annd Nosie section from the *final* prototype #10 of the micromac. The pervious design was excellent but I had to cut one or two track and hand wire them. Now it is perfect and ready for test/production.

Also to be noted here- for the Desktop unit- the supply is now on board with an AC/AC adaptor firing power up. Ultimately- I considered the idea of using a switched mose supply- but the supply it's self was over half the size of the mac! So I designed the linear supply that you can see on the rear view, bottom right. Plenty of trim pots too as you can see. By tommorow- the VCF, VCA, Envelope Generators and the hands on control board will be built and match up to this circuit!"

via the listing: "I had the synth serviced by an expert professional musical instrument repair company, serving the Pro Audio and Keyboard community - EPR Electronics in Florida in 2007. Here is a rundown of the work I had performed

Complete thorough cleaning of the interior and all boards.

Complete replacement of ALL Sliders with factory replacements.

Complete replacement of ALL Knobs/Potentiometers with factory replacements.

Replacement of the power capacitors.

Replacement of several resistors.

Replacement of main output jack.

Replacement of VCA IC Chip - Curtis 3360

Replacement of VCF - Roland IR3109

Replacement of internal memory battery

Replacement of many of the red LEDs on the control surface with blue, green, and yellow LEDs ( I got tired of the plain red). Now it looks as if you're at the helm of the Starship Enterprise."

EML -ElectroComp 101

"This one is in beautiful cosmetic condition and working 100%. It has just come back from being serviced/restored and needs nothing. The original case was pretty thrashed so I had a new, custom cherry wood cabinet built by Analogics. As you can see, this cabinet/case looks beautiful and in my opinion much better than the original...

Cosmetically- Nothing is ever mint in my opinion, but this EML looks awesome. There will be some imperfections here and there, but they will be hard to see. As mentioned, the original enclosure was replaced with real wood as it was in terrible shape. It has news latches, new black anodized/stainless steel screws, new Switchcraft washers/nuts, new rubber feet, and a new Arp 2600 style handle.

Internally- Apart from any repairs, this one was fully disassembled, cleaned, all electrolytic capacitors replaced (all boards + power supply), many new Op-amps, has a new power cord, the keyboard disassembled and cleaned/lubed, new key bushings and the synth has been completely calibrated..."
