Deep into the mountain ( Korg Volca Series)

"An ode to the deep unexplored caverns of Minecraft and the beasts within.
Korg Volca Series, Kp2-mini(on beats), and Kp3(on keys). Naked Bass. No HD for a quick upload on my end. More for listening.

All alone and bored after a mind numbing day of work. Break out the Volcas and drop some beats! Enjoy, and thanks for watching/listening."

"There is a couple of small issues with this Arp but it's still fun to play and sounds unique."

"This synthesizer powers on and is playable but has a few issues that would need some attention. When you turn off all bass synthesizer tones there is a weird faint stuck key noise. As a work around you can still play it with at least one them selected which sounds the best anyway and there is no more weird noise. The string/bass button has trouble staying depressed so I use a q-tip now or it will take a while to get it. A couple of the other buttons are tricky but work when pressed with finesse and the sliders could use a cleaning but work and are intact. It can be played as is and sounds good which is hard to find or is a perfect candidate for restoration since it's in great physical condition..."

"Two original and vintage, 1976 Moog Modular Synthesizer Brochures printed in the USA. Brochures are of the Moog Modular 921 Series modules. One brochure is 4 pages covering the Moog Modular 921 Voltage Controlled Oscillator (Master Oscillator), the other brochure is 4 pages covering the Moog Modular 921A Oscillator Driver and the 921B Oscillator. Both brochures are very good condition, especially for being around 38 years old. No writing, no highlights, no punch holes. The day of wonderful musical instrument brochures has all but passed. Brochures like these are around, but getting harder and harder to find just like the synthesizers themselves. See pics. NOTE: This is an original brochure, NOT A MAGAZINE AD. Only two brochures are in this auction. Nothing else."

New Hardware Allows Plants to Play Synthesizers at SXSW Interactive

"Data Garden announces MIDI Sprout at SXSW Interactive

Austin, TX - March 6, 2014 - Data Garden, known for it’s art installations of plants playing electronic music, announced the debut of it’s revolutionary instrument called MIDI Sprout.

MIDI Sprout condenses plant sonification technology into a handheld device, allowing people to turn their own house plants into music.

A Kickstarter will be launched today as part of a three day performative installation at South By South West Interactive. The installation will be on view at showcases by Ableton and Moog, sharing bills with the likes of Deadalus and Gary Numan.

“People have been asking us countless questions about how we make music with plants,” said Joe Patitucci, Director and Founder of Data Garden. “We can’t wait for them to bring the MIDI Sprout into their home and do it themselves!”

MIDI Sprout is now available for pre-order through the Kickstarter page. Different levels of rewards come with other groundbreaking musical hardware from Data Garden’s friends at Sub Pac and Critter and Guitari. These packages give backers everything they need to create immersive biofeedback art in their own homes.

'We see this as the beginning of the global DIY biofeedback movement,” explains Patitucci. “Biofeedback art is an amazing aesthetic and therapeutic tool. This is the first time the technology is available to the public free from the influence of institutions.'"
