New Behringer VC340 Vocoder Production Pics

Back in September we heard the upcoming Behringer VC340 (Roland VP-330 clone) was going into pre-production with a targeted MSRP of $999. Uli Behringer shared a few more pics with the following:

"We're excited to announce that the VC340 Vocoder is now in pre-production. It's all looking good and we're confident to soon switch to full production.

That's one great sounding vocoder!

Uli"

"This is the slightly later version with a khaki control panel and built-in speaker, so probably dates from 1980-81. They sometimes get a bad press but there are actually some really great sounds on board (e.g. Synthe 1 32' for basslines & Synthe 2 8' for leads - apparently it uses the same filter chip as the MS10 & 20) once you get used to the quirky controls... I'll be sad to see it go, but I just don't have the space for it anymore.

It's in pretty decent condition for its age - cosmetically there are some scuffs and scratches, but nothing serious; it has lived in my home studio since I've had it, and looks to have had a fairly quiet life before that. These often seem to develop a fault where some of the presets stop working. On this one, once its warmed up they all work - though some need a bit of coaxing with the rotary selector before they settle down - some switch cleaner on the contacts would probably help...

Other than that, there are no crackly pots or switches, and both outputs as well as the internal speaker are working, though recently I have noticed a low (in volume) high pitched noise when using the line out (not affected by the volume or filter controls, so possibly a slightly noisy output transformer...?) - it's not audible when not playing, and doesn't come through the built-in speaker, so not a huge issue. The synth has probably never had a service in its life, so a check-up by someone competent is recommended, and should keep any future issues at bay."

Dreadbox Erebus v3 : "Tick Tock"

"The music to this video features the Dreadbox Erebus v3 for all sounds with the only exception being the drum track. Some external reverb and modulation effects were used on some of the patches."

How To use PICO TRIGG & PICO DRUMS to create your favorite patterns in eurorack

Published on Dec 30, 2018 Dziam Bass

"Hi Guys.
I have a small introduction to PICO TRIGG and PICO DRUMS Erica Synths modules when you use it together to trigger your drums and create patterns. Pico TRIGG has mobile application for arranging patterns and loading and storing 8 slots that you can change whenever you want. in this video shows how to do it and also with the use of PICO DRUMS how the whole process works, to relieve your favorite drums with these two modules. Pico DRUMS can handle your samples and you can load 64 samples for each drum, you have controll over Pitch, Decay and Level for each drum, so there are also possibilities as soon as you are bothering you, you can load another sample and so you have a great drum sampler whenever you want to suddenly kick 909 or clap 808 and other your crazy favorite samples."
