"Here is a demo of DRONE being controlled by MIDI, in this case I use an UC33 connected to a laptop and the laptop is sending MIDI over USB to DRONE.

DRONE is a drone synth base on MOTHERBOARD6. I've been working on adding MIDI CC callbacks to the MOTHERBOARDs and it's now easy to catch MIDI CC messages and do anything with them.

Additionally I've made a web editor that allows to set the MIDI CC values for each available param of a module just by connecting it by USB.

As a reminder, I've built 3 MOTHERBOARDs which are modular pcbs that I use to create all my modules. They are modular in the way that they allow to build all sorts of modules out of the same PCBs. They also come with a base code that abstracts the low level electronics components handling which makes it easy to code any module on top of it.

The Prophet Rev 2 has become one of my favorite synths of all time, due to its incredible modulation capabilities and pure sound. Although the Rev 2 sometimes gets overshadowed by its more expensive siblings such as the Prophet 6, OB-6, and Prophet 5/10, I have found that with a little time and careful programming, the Rev 2 stands up to the others. In many situations, it actually outshines them. Many thanks to Jason Cooper over at www.voicecomponentmodeling.com for providing the inspiration to create even more compelling patches for this instrument.

This collection of sounds is loosely divided into three categories: 1. Contemporary (Progressive Soul, Hip-Hop, Fusion) 2. Vintage (Synth Wave, Electro Funk, Outrun), and Cinematic (Drama, Suspense, and Retro). I hope you enjoy these sounds as much as I enjoyed making them.

Happy Birthday Dave, thank you for everything. I have a quite a few of Dave's creations including an original Prophet-5, Prophet-VS rack, Evolver, OB-6, and my 2nd synth ever, a Multi-Trak I traded a TX7 towards back in my teenage days. :) I also picked up a Six-Trak and Prophet-2000, and KORG Wavestation EX along the way.
