Shifting Shapes | Intellijel Shapeshifter Exploration

video by Cinematic Laboratory

"Here's a second session with the ShapeShifter, an amazing complex oscillator with digital waveforms and an analog wavefolder. In this video I wanted to explore some 'normal' sounds but it's hard to resist the sonic power of two high resolution wavetable oscillators and an arsenal of features to combine, sum, fold, shape, morph and mangle them. It's probably one of the most complex oscillators on the market."

Another Wasp improv this time with Norns

video by junklight

"Still getting to know the Wasp again after all these years (and through something better than a cheap guitar practice amp ;-) ). I so need to sort out my workspace and up my production values a bit but stupidly busy as ever and prefer to spend my music time playing rather than sorting things out right now :-)
Using the Norns oooooo script by infinitedigits (who I think is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3xuU...) [video below]

"everything" by infinite digits, live | norns, po-32, korg monotron delay, raspberry pi

video by infinitedigits

"a live performance of the last track on my latest album: https://infinitedigits.bandcamp.com/a...

the entire album was made with the cheapest synth on the market: the korg monotron. i hacked it to use midi from a raspberry pi. i added drums with a po-32 and mixed it live with a koma field kit."

Vintage Synth Lab demo Eurorack modular analog synth VCO-81 VCF-74 D-ENV

video by Vintage Synthlab

"Analog modular eurorack synthesizer demonstrating the fast envelope action of the D-ENV (Delayed Envelope Generator), with the VCF-74 Mk2 (analog diode-ring filter module based on the 1970s mini-Korg 700 700s), and our VCO-81 (CEM3340 precision, high-quality analog VCO - unreleased). Our N-STH (Noise + Sample/Track & Hold) is used to provide white noise for extra snare sound, S&H routed to the HP filter of the VCF-74, and Track & Hold from another N-STH is used to slew the pitch of the CV controlling the VCO-81 (pitch) 1v/octave.

The result is a warm, analog, singing mono-synth voice, full of endless possibilities of character to dial in whether live, recording, or used as a tool for deep sound design in the pro and commercial audio industries."

Using CV to create generative ambient with the DB-01

video by Richard DeHove

"The Erica Synths DB-01 plus a single Eurorack LFO module (the Erica Synths Drum Modulator) can achieve generative dark ambient. Seems unlikely but is really very straightforward. In this example it even sounds a bit like a thunderstorm. An Eventide Blackhole provides the obligatory big dark reverb and there's also some limiting in the DAW from a Fabfilter Pro-L.

Casio DH-100 Digital Horn Spotted in Until the End of the World

This one is in via swissdoc

"I was watching this 1991 movie recently, Until the End of the World, and spotted a Casio DH100 digital horn in a brief moment. See attached screenshot. The movie has some nice music in it (as you can see on the Wiki page). They kind of "Google" for one of the guys in the story and when one special search program is used, the sound which can be heard is one of the Waldorf Microwave presets.

I was watching the film at the movies when it came out in 1991 and this sound I did remember. The DH100 I did not remember, but it could be as well, it was only in the directors cut."
