"Listed as 'modular' - but it's a semi-modular, 4-voice paraphonic synth, or mono synth, with on-board effects (reverb, delays, phaser, flanger, chorus), internal sequencer and interpolator (innovative design where sequencing can combine morphing of the oscillators, filter, LFO and envelopes), with patch memories. Very useful multi-mode filter (LP, BP, HP), with digital and analogue filter circuits. Good connectivity including midi (front and rear) for this to be the centre of your modular universe.....and it sounds wonderful and is built like a tank. Version 2 firmware with version 1 livery. This is the more expensive desktop version which can be rehoused in a eurorack case by simply disconnecting from the internal power bus and removing from the case. The case does however provide benefits for connectivity, e.g., the 1/4 inch jack inputs to run any external signal (mono or stereo) via the effects section. A future classic?"

TNT Jam @Home

video upload by Jörg Schaaf

"German text below
After many years of abstinence from the stage, I had the chance to present my music live and in front of an audience on November 17, 2023. This was a big challenge and involved a lot of effort, but it was great fun. With this video I would like to thank everyone who attended my concert. To all my friends who unfortunately couldn't make it for various reasons, I would like to present a small excerpt of what they could hear and see this Friday in the 'Theater neben dem Turm'' in Marburg.

My rig was of course equipped with many Radikal Technologies instruments. In addition to the obligatory Spectralis 2, you can hear the Accelerator and two Delta CEP A2s. I would particularly like to mention Crumar's Mojo 61 as additional instruments. I love this Rhodes emulation. A Roland JD-08 and a Behringer K2 are also used, which can throw in a few bad sounds here and there.

The whole session was recorded with 24 tracks directly into the Allen & Heath CQ20B stage mixer, which I recently integrated into my setup for live events.

The main camera is a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K (BMPCC4K) with an MFT sensor. I especially love this sensor format because there are an incredible number of inexpensive vintage lenses that inspire creativity. You can see a TTArtisan 17mm, F1.4 in this video. It produces a great image with the camera and only cost 100 euros."

Korg Volca FM2 - Friday Fun Synth Jam with Delta CEP A and friends

video upload by sonicstate

"We got sent the new @Korg Volca FM2 , the original which we reviewed previously, but now has 6 voices instead of a mere 3, velocity response over MIDI (Yay!), 64 on board presets and Chorus and Reverb Effects as well as some other improvements -and the Radikal Technologies Delta CEP A - a beast of a digital synth, plus the good ol' Zoom MS70-CDR

Nick takes a look at the FM2, adds reverb and noodles away - enjoy!"

Superbooth 22: Radikal - Meet The Gang

"Radikal Technologies, weren't showing anything new, but did have the whole gang out to play, the Delta CEP A - which has the most delicious sounding digital filter, the RT-1701 MultiFX Module, the RT1936 - Guitar Processor and the RT-311 Swarm Oscillator

Georg Schaaf, the main man behind these was on hand to play with them and we enjoyed the results. We hope you do too."

Radikal Technologies Delta CEP A - one synth oldschool minimal techno track

video upload by Wine&Synths

"When I started to produce music again last year, my old friend Jörg Schaaf was a true supporter and gave me a lot of motivation and inspiration with his extraordinarily creative mind.

So one day, shortly after I decided to get involved with hardware synths again, Jörg sent me one of his Delta CEP A test units for my personal enjoyment.

This video is my way to say thank you.

Delta is undoubtedly an astonishing little sound machine!

The most surprising thing during recording was, that I recorded my vocal as an mp4 on my Iphone. I just swapped it into Live and there was video! It’s not really predictable and every render is a little surprise. But it’s a really effective way to get rhythm into your videos!"

Polybrute and Delta CEP A - Friday FUN Synth Jam

sonicstate

"Very impromptu, jut before we box up the Arturia Polybrute to go back to the distributor (sniff...) One last noodle. Coupled with the Radikal Technologies Delta CEP A - a DSP based morphing synth with a big sound, and the ability to take a stereo input. Sadly this was lacking in the Polybrute."

Radikal Technologies Delta CEP A - Workshop @SchneidersLaden

Published on Apr 2, 2020 SchneidersLaden

"Jörg Schaaf aka Radikal Technologies was in Berlin to present his latest synthesizer designs like the Delta Cep A. He is responsible for some modern classic synth designs made in Germany – like the Spectralis and Accelerator. In the past years he mainly developed eurorack modules like the RT-311 Swarm Oscillator, RT-451 Dual Filter, RT-1701 Effexx or the semi-modular synthesizer Delta Cep A which is also availabe as a desktop version.

His complex designs always bring a lot of functionality to the table and they can sound amazing."

"Clearing away the last of the NAMMnesia with a quick sesssion on the ASM Hydrasynth paired with the Radikal Technologies Delta CEP. An all-digital affair, as I'm using the DSP filter in the Delta CEP as well as the Hydrasynth being pure DSP."
