via this seller: "This is a beyond special collectors items and I will probably only list it for a day or two so here goes..
Cosmetically & functionally perfect. Original lunchbox not included - this has been converted to a sweet 4U rackmount unit, custom-made to Metasonix's spec (and signed by the man himself! See pic's) kept in a clean, smoke-free space.

This is completely custom and is the only one ever produced as far as I'm aware.

Would fit wonderfully in a Buchla, or Serge rig that has an extra row. Its normal 19" rackmount size (84hp) so it fits in anywhere you need it.

If you're here, you probably know what this thing sounds like. It's a beast. Nothing else does what this thing can do. Consider pairing with your modular, to drive the VCO frequency, etc. It's a blast.
The last and final batch of the original Kv-100 sold out at instantly BigCityMusic for $2799.00

Comes with original power supply.

Specifications: Audio input accepts unbalanced guitar, microphone or line signals.
Output 600 ohms unbalanced.
1/4" jacks for all I/O.
Extra inputs: carrier audio input for ring modulator, CV inputs for VCO pitch and filter sweep.
Extra outputs: envelope CV out, VCO waveform out, pulser waveform out.
Frequency response: yes.
Distortion: yee-haw.
Filter sweep range: <100Hz to >12 kHz.
Uses Jameco 167151 AC adapter for power in 120v countries. Power inlet: 2.1mm coaxial jack. Unit ships with AC adapter for USA.

Metasonix R-55 Thyratron VCO Vacuum Tube Oscillator Eurorack Module

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

bigcitymusic special edition on the bottom.

"For Sale: (1) Metasonix R-55 Thyratron VCO synthesizer module in eurorack modular format. This was a limited edition module that was only sold at Big City Music and is not longer available. Includes M3 screws and power supply ribbon cable. From Metasonix:

The R-55 is essentially one of the VCOs in the legendary S-1000 Wretch Machine in a 22U Eurorack module. It produces the notorious "sharkfin" sawtooth waveform of thyratron VCOs, replete with the weird pitch variations and apparent モnoisinessヤ of a thyratron oscillator.
Turn up the overdrive control, and the oscillator output clips the output amplifier pentode tube, for a unique soft-clipped square-wave sound. The simplicity of the R-55 will fool you--its behavior is erratic and weird, it always sounds broken, and the waveform is deviated in every way. You don't even need to feed it Hz/v CV; just run a square-wave or pulse signal from a conventional VCO into a pitch CV input, and it will force the R-55 to track along with the other VCO.

Mellotron M4000D Rack

Published on Dec 3, 2015 John L Rice

"A quick random noodling through the default sounds of awesome Mellotron M4000D Rack from http://www.mellotron.com/ There are also two keyboard versions of this instrument and I purchased mine from http://www.bigcitymusic.com/

This is a digital sample playback unit designed to recreate the sound of the Chamberlin and Mellotron magnetic tape sample playing instruments that were originally invented by Harry Chamberlin in the USA during the late 1940's / early 1950's and later modified by the Bradly Brothers in the UK, (now Streetly Electronics) whose Mellotron version became greatly popularized by and an important part of many of the biggest rock bands of the 1970's like The Rolling Stones, Yes, David Bowie and Genesis to name a few.

A.S. rs150 Arpeggiator patch eurorack

Published on Jun 5, 2015 bigcitymusic

"One possible application of the rs150 Sequential Switch is an arpeggiator. In this demonstration three oscillators are tuned to different intervals to form a chord. Each oscillator is inputed into the rs150. A clock/trigger/gate signal present at the rs150 clock input switches the current note. The rate of input to the clock input determines the arpeggio speed.

A similar example using one oscillator is demonstrated here [see this post]

In this example, every pitch/gate selects a different waveform and processing chain from the rs150."

A.S. rs150 Seq\Switch sequence extension & variation

Published on May 26, 2015 bigcitymusic

"The Analogue Systems rs150 eurorack module can be used to expand sequences/sequencers and break up repetition.

In this patch each channel of the 4MS Quad Clock Distributor (and 1 channel of the QCD Expander) are input into the rs150 channels. A trigger at the rs150 Clock In is sequentially switching through the different timings to create dynamic structured variations of an otherwise linear sequence."

A.S. rs150 Sequential Switch waveform selector

Published on May 22, 2015 bigcitymusic

"The rs150 Sequential Switch is very useful for creatively directing multiple sources to a single output. In this patch multiple waveforms from a single multi-waveform output oscillator are input into the rs150. A signal present in the ‘CLOCK IN’ input will sequentially step through the rs150 inputs. The rs150 enables each note of the sequence to select a unique waveform from the multi-waveform output oscillator which is processed differently."

Tiptop Circadian Rhythms sequencer eurorack beats & bass

Published on May 7, 2015 bigcitymusic

"The Tiptop Audio Circadian Rhythms sequencer is sequencing the Sputnik Oscillator, Tiptop Audio Marimba 808 and Mutable Instruments Peaks set to drum mode (kick/snare). The Clock/Reset Out is controlling the Intellijel Metropolis. The Metropolis pitch CV is modulating the Sputnik Oscillator (time modified by the 4ms QCD). A trigger channel from the Circadian Rhythms is being used as a pulse for the Sputnik West Coast Random source stored quantized voltages which is FM’ing the Intellijel Korgasmatron II (filtering the oscillator). White Noise from the Wet Coast Random Source is modulating the FM input of the oscillator. The oscillator is routed into Max/MSP for delay modulation. The oscillator is multed out into the Pittsburgh Phase Shifter. Both oscillator signals are sent into the Sputnik Quad/VCF VCA where the Circadian Rhythms is triggering both channels of the Intellijel Dual ADSR which is enveloping the VCA CV inputs. All sounds are summed in the Sputnik 6-Channel Stereo Mixer.

Cwejman INS-2MX operation and patch examples

Published on Apr 22, 2015 bigcitymusic

http://bigcitymusic.com/

"Patch notes and instructions for the Cwejman INS-2MX Dual Insert VCA.

00:00:
To operate the INS-2MX as a standard VCA:
Patch a signal into the VCA I/P input.
The MIX LEVEL potentiometer controls the level of this signal at the MIX output.
Patch a control voltage (gate, envelope, LFO) or audio signal into the VCA1 LEVEL CV input to automate the level of the signal inserted to VCA I/P.

00:39
To operate the INS 2-MX as an insert VCA:
1. Patch a signal into the VCA I/P input of the INS-2MX.
2. Patch that signal from the SEND output of the INS-2MX into another module.
3. Patch the output of the module from the step 2 into the RETURN input of the INS-2MX.
4. The 'dry' and 'wet' signal are accessible from the MIX output of
the INS 2-MX.
5. The MIX potentiometer controls the blend of the VCA and inserted signal. When the MIX potentiometer is set to VCA the signal output at MIX is the signal present at the VCA I/P. When the MIX potentiometer is set to INSERT the signal output of MIX is the signal present at the RETURN input of the INS-2MX. When the MIX potentiometer is set in the middle, a mix of the VCA I/P and RETURN inputs is present at the MIX output.
6. Patch a control voltage or audio signal into the Mix LEVEL CV
input to automate the blend of VCA or INSERT signal.

The first section of this video (00:00) demonstrates how to use the
INS-2MX as a standard VCA. An oscillator is routed into the VCA I/P input and an envelope is routed into the VCA CV input.

The section section of this video (00:39) takes the output from the
first example, routes it into the second VCA I/P and then sends the signal into a reverb module. The reverb module output is returned into the INS-2MX for mixing."
