PROPHET-10 REV4 Synthesizer - Sound Demo - Vintage old school custom patches, Sequential reissue

Tom Loncaric

"The new Prophet-10 Rev 4 synthesizer! Most of these presets were made by me in the last two days. The Prophet Rev4 is a vintage synth lovers dream! Pretty much every parameter is in the sweet spot.

Everything in this video is performed live, in the spirit of the classic synth tones of 1980’s. I have played many of these same riffs in previous videos, and thought it might be useful to for people to hear them again for comparison purposes.

This Prophet-10 is recorded by an iPad with a Roland GO:MIXER. No eq. The only effect in this video is a Moog Minifooger delay pedal."

Prophet 600 Synthesizer - GliGli mod *Custom Patches* - rez pads, brass, clavs - Sequential Circuits

Tom Loncaric

"More sound examples featuring the incredibly versatile Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 six-voice polyphonic synthesizer. Lots of vintage inspired patches! This video focuses on resonant pads, brass and clav tones, with a little extra spice added. My Prophet 600 was made in about 1983, and features the GliGli mod, which is a significant upgrade.

All sounds in the video were programmed by me and performed live, in the spirit of the big keyboard tones of the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Effects:
Demeter RV-1 Real Spring Reverb
Moog Minifooger Delay"

The Hunting of the Gathering (Akai Tom Cat & Timbre Wolf, Kawai K1m thru Moog MF Delay)

Published on Oct 25, 2018 HardtekStudios

"Download the audio track for FREE here-https://soundcloud.com/hardtek-studio...

They have gathered, only to be hunted. This jam features TWO different recorded parts! The first features the Akai Tom Cat & Timbre Wolf providing some doom-y beats & basslines while the second has the Kawai K1m thru the Moog Minifooger Delay. Both tracks were recorded & edited in Logic with some compression, EQ and two different reverb sends. I normally edit my video in an older version of iMovie, but for the video effects I needed I had to use the newest version. Unfortunately, this version of iMovie has a glitch were the video & audio fall out of sync with each other. Maybe Apple will fix this one day. Until then, have a Happy Halloween!"

Circuit Bent Kawasaki Drum Machine thru Moog MF Delay

Published on Oct 16, 2018 HardtekStudios

"This Circuit Bent Drum Machine is available for purchase on Ebay!

This is a simple bent instrument where I can change the pitch & tempo at once with the large black knob on the right. It also has an audio output for FX processing(like the Moog Minifooger Delay) & recording. Finally there is a switch which will turn off the speaker, but has a side effect of distorting the audio. This video has it ran thru the Moog Minifooger Delay with lots of delay time tweaking in addition to the time tweaking of the bent drum machine. Recorded into Logic with no additional processing."

via this auction

"This Kawasaki Drum Machine has been Circuit Bent to include a pitch/tempo knob that will raise the pitch & tempo of the drum pattern simultaneously. It also includes a 1/8th" audio output. There is a switch that will turn off the internal speaker for studio use, but has a side effect of having a distorted or bit crushed sound to it. There are video demos of the unit on Hardtek Studios Youtube page. Again the Yellow Pads DO NOT work!"

Vocalise Sintectica - John Keston - ISSTA 2017

Published on Apr 19, 2018 Daryl Feehely

"John Keston performing Vocalise Sintectica at the ISSTA 2017 concert in DkIT."

On what's going on in this performance via Audio Cookbook:

"Last September 2017 I performed at the Irish Sound in Science Technology and the Arts Conference (ISSTA.ie) in Dundalk, Ireland (video by Daryl Feehely). The performance makes use of a custom Max patch controlled by an iPad, a Novation Circuit, a KeyStep, and a Minifooger Delay pedal. It occurred to me that it might be interesting to share the roots and evolution of this piece, so here goes.

In my mind the origins of the piece can be traced back to my interest in granular synthesis. In 2009 I developed a Max based instrument I titled Grain Machine. It was essentially a touchscreen controlled granular synthesizer. I used this instrument for a number of projects including Words to Dead Lips, a dance piece in collaboration with Aniccha Arts. The instrument was played via a simple iOS interface designed in TouchOSC. A performer could access five samples, granulate them on an X-Y grid, or spin a virtual wheel with friction modeling to scrub or scratch through them..."

One Hand Moog Jam (Moog DFAM, Mother-32 & MF Drive)

Published on Mar 8, 2018 HardtekStudios

"Time for quick semi-modular Moog jam using a handheld camera instead of a fixed angle. The Moog DFAM is showing of some good drum skills with plenty of FM style blips & bloops. The Mother-32 has some squelchy acid bass running thru the Minifooger Drive pedal for some overdrive & extra filtering."

Doomsday Beats (Akai Tom Cat thru Moog Mother 32, MF Delay & Freqbox)

Published on Jan 28, 2018 HardtekStudios

"This one is all kinds of crazy and out of control! I have the Akai Tom Cat going into the audio in of the Moog Mother-32, then thru the Minifooger Delay and finally into the Moogerfooger Freqbox! Lots of weird modulation & gating created the weakening/strengthing effect of the whole signal. Little Godzilla is just hanging out on the one yellow cable."

Volca FM thru MiniFooger Delay

Published on Jan 21, 2018 HardtekStudios

"The brite & brittle sounds of the Korg Volca FM take on a new form of life when combined with the smooth & dark echoes of the Moog Minifooger Delay. I start by slowly bring the delay in while adding bursts of harmonics from the FM. This continues until the signal is completely wet. From there I tweak different knobs and demonstrate different delay settings & timings."

Korg Volca FM Synth Demo Jam

Published on Nov 22, 2017 Boredbrain Music

"Here's a techno jam from Boredbrain featuring the Korg Volca FM digital synthesizer and Roland TR-606 vintage analog drum machine. Effects used are Moog Minifooger MF-Delay and Korg Monotron Delay. The Volca is tempo synced to the 606 via the tom trigger output.

The jam starts with a chain of sequences using a bell-type tone getting slightly modulated with the Velocity slider and LFO for vibrato. The middle section is a chain of sequences using a classic FM bass sound and Arpeggiator. The Velocity slider and Carrier Decay are getting tweaked heavily creating a wide range of tones.

Recorded live outside on location on a cold night overlooking downtown Richmond VA from Church Hill."
