"No, not repairing 4 ARP 2600s, making 4 repairs to the same ARP 2600...

In this video we bring life back to an ARP 2600 with 2 dead oscillators, dead sample and hold, and dead left speaker.

Parts used in this video are available at my website. I also repair and restore ARPs and other vintage synths for customers around the world."

Rheyne - Sequenced Jam #61

Published on Nov 15, 2017 Rheyne

"Recorded on top of a coffee table. Bass is from a Moog DFAM, the kick is from a Noise Engineering LIP, the pad is from a Make Noise Morphagene through an Erica Synths Black Hole DSP, and the slow arpeggios are from both VCOs of a DPO. Reverb on the overall mix is from a Strymon BigSky."

"Novation Supernova 1 that has an expansion sound card inside. Now it's 44-voices. It's fully loaded. It is very stunning and amazing. Everything is double checked. It’s 100% in working order. It also comes with a power cord. Cosmetically it is in very good to excellent condition. The only fault is the rack ear on the upper left corner is slightly bent. You know the expansion card is very hard to find. Yes, the card is inside the synth." Pic below.

Interesting note about John Carpenter using the SQ-80, however the SQ-80 was released in 1988: "I grew up being a huge fan of John Carpenter films (Assault on District 13, The Thing, and Escape From New York probably being my favorites) and always loved the music in them. I read in a magazine interview that he did the music himself with an SQ-80 and I immediately looked to see how I could get one. After realizing that it was way out of my price range as a young kid, I made tapes of the music instead and had to wait until over a decade later to realize my dream of owning this classic synthesizer.

This SQ-80 is in perfect working order and it comes with a rugged road case (this synth has played a few gigs), original instruction manual, MIDI cables and power cable, 3 sound cartridges, and the original sustain pedal."

Custom Korg MINI KP Eurorack Module From Million Machine March

via Million Machine March

"One of my favorite types of emails are from people who love their non-eurorack gear so much that they want to find out, ‘if’ it is possible to convert over to eurorack, and what would be involved in doing so. At first I was not sure if conversion of the Korg MINI KP would even be possible. I usually have to go back and forth with the inquirer and see if they can ‘carefully’ open the ‘back panel’ and look inside and see what we would be facing. I ask for a couple of pics and some measurements. Basically the main hurdle in euro conversion is the physical size of the PCB’s that are inside the synth/pedal/effect box you are trying to convert over. Yes, current use, digital functionality, midi conversion, voltage needs, among other concerns need to be addressed, but the size of the PCB’s is the most critical ‘show stopper’ that has to be addressed first!

I asked Ali a few questions about his MINI KP and the journey with it so far."

"Malekko has been churning out great Eurorack modules recently, thanks in part to Ben Davis, whose newest Quad Gate Delay is a utility for introducing funky time shifting to gate patterns and rhythms.
