Dinsync Re-303 2019 Black

"'It's not a clone, it's a replica!'
A clone is a hardware that is made differently, with different parts and technology (SMD, OpAmp etc.) than older devices, but should sound similar. And sometimes does not sound so similar. The RE-303 ist something different, it is a replica. That means (with few exceptions) the original parts are used and also the mounting technology. In consequence there is no manual, because you can use the original manual. from the internet :)
Creating such a replica is done in handwork, because the electronic factories use more modern technology mostly. In result the device sounds like an original TB-303, I can notice the phasey trippy deepness in it, while clones are a bit shallow. But you don't have to maintain a decades old device and everything is still robust and durable.
This piece is as far as one can get to a real TB-303 because it also uses a replica of the CPU. Not all DinSync RE-303 replicas do this. (It is a sunflowr/recpu that is a replica of the CPU firmware with the same usage. More original than other choices, also in the quirks.).
The color is black and the LEDs are green, the housing is made of metal.
I used it in almost every track, but times are hard for musicians these days.
You can hear it in action in my latest tracks. Almost all have it somewhere, if there's a 303 inside, it's this unit."

Empress Reverb Eurorack Conversion by Million Machine March
via Million Machine March where you'll find addition details.
"All circuitry is custom to each conversion and calibrated accordingly. There can be differences between pedals I find. Very unusual for a digital pedal. Conversions can be like that. Each one is unique and satisfying in its own way."
Beautiful conversion.

Quad Octoginta II Yusynth Miscreant from Million Machine March 4 OSC Eurorack Module with Joystick
via Million Machine March

Now that the VCO’s were sorted and I was able to purchase the DIY PCB’s, I needed to choose a wavefolder design. I like what Yusynth did with Haible’s wavefolder and went with his design here.
The YuSynth design required me to make my own PCB’s. This can be a laborious process if you have not done it before. But I have the process down to a science here in the lab, so I was able to get these made pretty quickly. Taste the Sodium Persulfate in the air, aahhhhh!...
The inspiration for this build and using these particular chips is to try and satisfy my want for a Oberheim OB-Xa! Hopefully Behringer will be able to produce an affordable clone soon, but in the meantime…"

Strymon BigSky Eurorack Module Conversion by Million Machine March
via Million Machine March
"I was glad to see Strymon released their first eurorack module this year. Their Magneto module looks like a great entry and should fair well against others in that space. However after deeper analysis I find the module is lacking in a few areas. So, here I took their BigSky pedal and converted it over to a eurorack module. Having CV control over the parameters is a must and honestly, after using more CV, I could not go back to the original pedal again without them!"

60 Knobs Meets 60 Jacks - Million Machine March's Take on Bastl Instruments' 60Knobs
Check out the MATRIX-12V controller below.
via Million Machine March
"Stop me if you have been here… …You have been patching your modular synth for a while and then you get a thought of “I wish I could use this modulation source to control one of my other midi synth’s!” Or what about a ‘deep’ guitar pedal that has a MIDI input and can be controlled via MIDI CC? How about wanting to use many CV sources to control many MIDI CC’s or NRPN’s or even SysEx… …with a stand alone box? Or, how do I easily record all of these CV signals into my DAW so I can use them in MIDI tracks too?
Bastl released their 60 Knobs project last year and made it open source! I immediately saw lots of potential and decided to see what I could come up with."

Custom Korg MKP2s Eurorack Module from Million Machine March

Another eurorack conversion via Million Machine March
"These really are one of the most useful modules you can have in your rack. With Filters, Modulation, LFOs, Delays, Reverbs, Phasers, Flangers, Loopers, Vocoders, Sampling, Recording and even a couple of synth’s, there is something for everyone and anytime you need it. Now add some CV control and welcome to your next ‘desert island’ module! Specs of the original manufacturer’s product here.
You know these are special when they even build guitars with them built in.
This particular conversion used the owner’s artwork to add that custom touch. He also wanted ALL of the possible CV control, so his MKP2s is the most voltage controlled conversion I have made so far!"

Million Machine March Poses the Question: Will Moog Release a Complete Eurorack Modular System?
Million Machine March poses the question of whether Moog Music will come out with a complete eurorack modular system. Click through for the full post. You might recall Million Machine March (previously Ninstrument) has been porting Moog's Moogerfoogers to eurorack for some time now.
Pictured: "Here we show the Eurorack converted Moog MoogerFoogers, MF-101, 102, 103, 105, 107, and 108. A Moog Minitaur Bass Synth, and a Moog Werkstatt synth. A Circuit Abbey Unify mixer with expander. A 2HP mult and two Div 6 16 step sequencers to round out the system’s functionality. All of this housed in a custom 9U Goike case."

Minitaur Eurorack DIY Conversion Kits by Million Machine March
via Million Machine March
“Do you want a bad ass analog bass synth in your eurorack? This is the way to go! This entire kit is produced in house. The panel was designed, CNC cut, bead blasted, powdercoated and screenprinted in house! These kits have been refined over the last two years to make the conversion as painless as possible. Some of the soldering work has already been done for you! Read through the DIY Guide to see if you feel comfortable performing the conversion. I can also perform the mod for you if you ship me your Minitaur. An additional fee will apply.“

Moog MF-108 Cluster Flux Eurorack Module Port by Million Machine March
via Million Machine March

This is one of my favorites from Moog. If Moog was to only convert one of their MoogerFoogers over to the eurorack format, it should be this one.
Chorus, Flange and Vibrato driven with original bucket brigade device chips. Multiple waveform LFO, which you can sync multiple ways, including MIDI.
We hope Moog are working on more eurorack modules, but in the meantime we can convert some of their other products
into fully functional eurorack modules!"
What's worth noting is these are not clones, but ports of existing Moog Moogerfoogers. Meaning units sold by Million Machine March equate to units sold for Moog as well.
Below is an image of all of Million Machine March's Moogerfooger ports to date. Check out the sliders on the MF-105 Murf! You can find previous posts featuring the modules via the Million Machine March label link at the bottom of this post, or you can of course check out the Million Machine March website.

New Million Machine March Eurorack Format Moog Werkstatt 01
Million Machine March (formerly Ninstrument) has a new port of the Moog Werkstatt 01 in eurorack format. The new design is not only closer to the classic Moog module aesthetic, but also a few hp narrower. You can find the original WST-E1 Werkstatt ported here for comparison.
Million Machine March has also ported Moog's Moogerfoogers to eurorack modular format.

Ninstrument Transitions to Million Machine March w/ Eurorack Converted MoogerFoogers
Ninstrument wrote in to let us know they are transitioning beyond chiptune oriented products and will be doing so under a new moniker as Million Machine March. In the same spirit as their Ninstrument conversions of classic gear into the eurorack format, their first products will be converting MoogerFooger's to the format. Via Million Machine March:
"I was really hoping that Moog would have been putting out more eurorack modules in this last year. Maybe this will inspire them! Here I am converting over their MoogerFooger guitar pedals to eurorack. Since Moog has picked a eurorack aesthetic, with the Mother 32 module, it was a ‘no brainer’ to make these follow suit. I am working on the rest of them so stay tuned for more!"
