Lorre-Mill Double Knot vs Sputnik Spectral Processor

video upload by NOISEBUG

"Taking a trip down the amazon with the Lorre-Mill Double Knot and the Sputnik Modular Spectral Processor.

In this patch we were trying to explore what it would be like to recreate a scene from the amazon using electronic instruments. We have native people drumming, hippos groaning and owls howling.

The Sputnik Spectral Processor is great at isolating frequencies and being able to bring those frequencies in when needed. The optional routing and feedback possibilities are truly endless. While the Double Knot holds the Rhythm and is feeding its sound sources through the Spectral.

"Available to order here: https://lofi-future.square.site/produ...

Limited run of 8 units! These are new old stock cameras and come included with a high quality JMK 3.5 -8mm 1:1.4 CS Lens With focus, zoom and aperture controls.

Along with the circuit bends the camera has a 50/60hz toggle switch installed allowing operation world wide (with both old CCIR (PAL) and EIA (NTSC) black and white video signals)

It can produce those melty circuit bend CCD sensor effects we all love so much, as well as glitchy invert effects all the way up to full blow monochrome glitch chaos! These cameras are particularly ghostly!

The included lenses features and aperture ring, which works as an amazing overall intensity control for the glitches.

Don't let the monochrome limitation put you off. These cameras have a definite vibe! Teamed up with a video mixer, some keying and colourisation this camera is also a great asset to colourful content creation.

CCIR (PAL) and EIA (NTSC) Compatible
12V DC 500ma power in (Not Included - uses standard CCTV power supply)

Energetic jam w/ Novation Circuit Rhythm, Manis Iteritas, Qu-Bit Bloom, Sample Drum, FX Aid XL

video upload by Jay Hosking

"A live, semi-improvised track performed entirely on hardware.

For my previous piece, (https://youtu.be/C_xKtrGXmTE), I created this small Eurorack setup with two sound generators, the Noise Engineering Manis Iteritas and the Erica Synths Sample Drum. I was going to take the rack apart for a new song, but decided to just noodle around on it for a few minutes. That led me to a variety of beautiful sounds on the Manis, which I sampled into the Sample Drum, and then sequenced using a long branching path on the Qu-Bit Bloom.

Since I was using the Bloom for both tracks of the Sample Drum, I had no sequencer left for the Manis itself; as a solution, I used the ALM Busy Circuits Pamela's New Workout to create a quantized square wave LFO that alternated between two notes in the key. Then I could "play" the LFO to create a little variety in the Manis sequence. In other words, Pam's once again proves itself to be the most valuable module in my rack.

Once I had this strange, impromptu sequence, I didn't know how to finish it. On a whim, I connected it to the Novation Circuit Rhythm, since it had a eurorack clock out and I hadn't tried it in a full jam yet. Thanks to the Circuit Rhythm and its lightning fast workflow, I had a finished song in about ten minutes. I had been a bit lukewarm on the Circuit Rhythm at first, thinking it wasn't my favourite groovebox, but once I started to treat it like a drum machine instead of a groovebox, it made a lot more sense. Despite being an entry-level device in terms of price, it's got a lot of tricks and a lot of immediacy to offer. I really enjoyed working with it, and I think it's a great drum solution for people who have a eurorack with little or no percussion in it.

Performed and recorded live with EQ, compression, and limiting on the master.

As usual, one camera let me down in the end... so I had to add some short videos from my personal library to compensate a little.
It's been a long since I haven't composed anything, just focusing on my family, and honestly, it was the best time I had in a while!
Spending time with the beloved ones cannot compare to anything else.

DSI Poly Evolver Rack HQ Synthesizer Audio Demo Hybrid Analog Rik Marston

video upload by Rik Marston Official

"This synthesizer is incredible sounding!
It can make buildings shake, hearts break, stars explode, etc.
Man it can be HEAVY! Plus the FX is cool, creative but intense!
Watch your speakers on this audio demo! Soft to MASSIVE!
I love this synthesizer more than any recent synthesizer out there
or planned upcoming in the near future. It is so unique & cool!
Seriously, right now to me nothing can top the power of the Dave Smith
Poly Evolver! The Korg Minilogue XD, Prologue, Roland JD-XA, even the Sequential PRO-3 couldn't match the Poly Evolvers' hybrid sound or power!
Looking for a fantastic looking/working used DSI Mono Evolver PE now...

Cereal Instruments RESOLUTION

video upload by Cereal Instruments

"RESOLUTION is four precision faders that can be used to send out or attenuate voltages.

CONTROLS:

Knob - For each of the faders, use the knob to set the level of attenuation when the fader is on full. To do so, put the fader fully open then adjust the knob until the module is sending out the most voltage that you would like. Now the fader will act only from zero to this point.
Fader - The faders attenuate the voltage signal for each channel, allowing voltage up to the maximum set by the knob above.

INS/OUTS:

Inputs - Are normalled together as a buffered mult from left to right. So you can plug in one cv signal and get up to four outputs with different attenuation. The first input is also normalled to a +5v offset (this is provided by a 5v regulator and does not require power from the 5v rail).
Outputs - As you would expect.

TECH SPECS:

10hp
21mm depth
17ma at +12v
14mA at -12v"

Cereal Instruments BINARY

video upload by Cereal Instruments

"BINARY is two dual gang attenuators, simple.

This allows you to attenuate two signals at once with only one knob. Inputs for the ‘a’ knob are also normally connected to the ‘b’ knob inputs so two signals can be sent to two inputs each with different attenuation.

CONTROLS:

A – Controls the attenuation of the signals through the ‘a’ inputs and outputs.
B – Controls the attenuation of the signals through the ‘b’ inputs and outputs.

INS/OUTS:

as above!

TECH SPECS:

4hp
21mm depth
PASSIVE"

Cereal Instruments RAZE

video upload by Cereal Instruments

"RAZE is a simple but unique sounding 4hp distortion module, capable of destroying sound completely.

CONTROLS:

Raze - Controls how destructive the distortion is, from subtle hard clipping to totally broken fuzz. When the control passes the halfway point, the signal will get slowly more destroyed over time and will regenerate when the control is put back before this point.
Volume - Sets the output level of the effect. Can boost or attenuate the signal. This is particularly useful when switching the effect in and out. With the raze control on zero and the push on full the volume can push into harsh limiting clipping.
Push - Sets the amount of gain pushing into the distortion circuit.

INS/OUTS:

Input/output - As you'd expect, keeping RAZE small and simple.

TECH SPECS:

4hp
21mm depth
8mA at +12v
8mA at -12v"

Arturia OB-Xa J3PO Presets Collection - Official Demo Video

video upload by J3PO

"This video demos the 50 presets in the new 'Arturia OB-Xa J3PO Presets Collection.' The patch bank is available for purchase exclusively from https://www.julianpollack.com and the cost is $19. Instructions come with the pack for installation. It's quite simple to install.

This preset pack is roughly divided into three categories:

00:09 Soul/Hip-Hop/Fusion
08:39 Cinematic
15:32 Vintage/Synthwave/Funk

While I believe that no software emulation will ever capture every single detail and nuance of the original hardware, Arturia has a done a great job with this virtual synth, paying homage to the original Oberheim OB-Xa. With the additional features, modulation, and array of quite superb digital effects that the Arturia OB-Xa has to offer, this instrument has become a go-to synth in my digital arsenal. Similar to Sequential's new "vintage knob," the Arturia OB-Xa has controls under the hood to give variation to each voice, including pitch, filter envelope, filter cutoff, and more.

You must own the Arturia OB-Xa to use these patches.

I also have patches available for the Prophet Rev 2, Prophet 6, OB-6, Prophet 5/10, Softube Model 84 and a free bank of 50 sounds for the free VST synth “OB-Xd” — all available on my website. If you're a Nord Stage 3 user, download my bank from the Nord Keyboards website. I have two samples packs, "J3PO x The Ox" (hip hop and soul keyboard and drum loops) available on Splice, and "J3PO x Nicholas Semrad" keyboard samples and loops--available from https://www.julianpollack.com."

Mother 32, Subharmonicon, Beads - Modular Ambient Soundscape

Decided to really turn Beads up to 11 with the Mother 32. The Moog Subharmonicon plays the lower pads while the Mother 32 plays a sequenced lead overtop, but the sequence's speed and cutoff is being modulated randomly. From the Mother 32 into QPAS for stereo and then into Beads for all of that lush reverb and pitch changes."
