Nightverb: First day noodlings (no talk)
video upload by Richard DeHove
"Beware the title: 'First day noodlings'. This isn't a collection of pristine patches or sweetly controlled tone-perfect spaces. It is literally me with the Nightverb on day one twiddling the knobs trying to understand the various interactions and calibrations. But I figure that will be of interest to some. And since my daughter always laughs at how "incredibly niche" my channel is, well, surely it can't hurt.
I'm honored to have Nightverb serial number 0006 sent to me gratis by Erica Synths. Technically that should earn the "paid promotion" tag, and yet, saying that on this random hodge-podge doesn't seem quite right. And since I'm almost qualified as a member of the Erica Synths 10% discount club I think I've earned a pass on this one. Of course the truth is I would have bought this anyway if Erica Synths hadn't sent it to me, so at least this way I didn't have to sell anything - yay!
But about the Nightverb. It's armoured, beautiful and alive with grippy knobs. Reverb has never been so much fun or so fast to program. About halfway through the video I learn that 'late reflections' combined with 'infinite feedback' equals noise - but that's what day one gets you. Give it a few months and I'm sure all this will look painfully awkward. I also had the gain quite high and neglected to touch the low and high damp controls at all, but there's only so many parameters I can deal with fresh at one time. More videos to come of course.
I'm looking forward to pairing the Nightverb with the Zen Delay and Acidbox III though for this first outing I thought it should stay pure. Of course there are absolutely no DAW effects, EQ or limiting. I can certainly see cases in the future where a delay after the reverb could make for some interesting creations. Even so, just with the trusty DB-01 I did enjoy the pseudo poly-synth effect going 100% wet. Likewise the pre-delay with early reflections and feedback gave a good industrial delay. So much more I could say but I'll leave that for a talkie video.
If there's anything specific about the Nightverb I can answer, or a particular sort of audio demo you'd like to hear, let me know and I'll try to cover them in a second video.

DecadeBridge Prototypes 2024 (so far)
video upload by DecadeBridge
"Jump to the time stamps below to skip through.
A few things that have been on the Decadebridge prototyping bench the first half of this year.
I like to give these things names relatively early on in the process to remain focused on the idea itself. That doesn't mean it doesn't evolve through the process but it does help cut away any unnecessary functions and the heart of its meaning doesn't give in to the overwhelming options that could, potentially, take away from it's character.
00:00 Laconic running through a low pass filter and some stereo delay. pitch controlled with Turing machine and volts. Volume controlled using a EG triggered by the Turing machine pulse out.
00:53 Laconic. Disting Mk4 controlling pitch. Manually changing settings.
01:45 Laconic. Pitch controlled manually and with the Turing machine and volts.
02:59 Laconic. Pitch sequenced using SQ1 and Moog subharmonicon sequences. All sounds from Laconic. Subharmonicon envelopes controlling voice level.
03:58 Noria. Ongoing, analog style step sequencer project.
06:49 Untitled. Just playing around with a glitchy, Sid chip type sound. 4 step sequencer that quickly turns into erratic dronal stabs. Fun little project.
08:18 Quatrain. 4 in 4 out passive matrix mixer with a few extra bits. Creating drones with feedback paths. the only sound sources are a couple of cheap guitar pedals (reverb and delay).
11:42 Quatrain. Using the mixer in a Eurorack setup mix CV signals.
13:31 Quatrain. Pure feedback paths to generate drones and tones. Korg amp works, Behringer vintage delay and digital reverb all feedback into each other and themselves to generate drones.
16:13 Quatrain. More CV input mixing and playing on Quatrain's other qualities in this eurorack patch."

Before getting the head into Explorations Volume 2, I have Spent that past couple of days familiarising myself with the OB-X8 again and also the new 2.0 Firmware features, decided the best way to road test, is write a track only using the OB-X8
This synth is way up there in my top synths of all time. Absolutely love it.
anyway, a commercial kinda track this one. was great fun putting it together.
Enjoy!

Behringer Pro-1 Patches: Bass, Lead, Pluck. No Talk Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
"Analog Classics is soundset for the analog synthesizers Behringer Pro-1.
It is a collection of 50 patches: 15 Leads, 15 Basses, 15 Plucks, 5 Drones.
It includes famous sounds that are found in many electronic tracks, from vintage to modern, musical solo timbres; basses that will fit into any track or performance.
Plucks are excellent for use with arpeggiators or sequencers. You may use the internal Pro-1 arpeggiator or sequencer, or you may integrate your preferred arpeggiators or sequencers from your DAW or MIDI controllers.
💽 Get the soundset: https://bit.ly/3RXognl
The patches will add uniqueness to your music, featuring the sound introduced by the Behringer Pro-1.
The presets are suitable for a variety of genres, including: ambient, electronica, IDM, deep, techno, house, progressive, trance, lounge, downtempo, pop, chill out, new age, cinematic, breaks, jungle, drum and bass, dub and others.
The soundset is presented in the form of PDF-Document. Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters are worth tweaking during playback, and how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn a lot about the synth and discover its
true depth.
There are audio examples of all patches inside the folder with the soundset.

This was service this year by an ex Moog employee in Nashville. There are zero issues it plays amazing and holds tune great. This is definitely a unique synthesizer not your standard Moog. It comes with the original power cord and a copy of the manual."

"Vintage Minimoog Model D in good condition overall with a road case and manual. Ive had many Model D’s over the years and this one is a good one - strong filter and stable oscillators! It idles quietly and all functions work as they should. The cabinet does have lighter spots due to case interior foam rash over the years and said spots were lightly sanded by the previous owner. The bottom MDF panel is in very good condition with no off-putting flakey stuff going on which is a common occurrence with vintage Model D’s. The road case has new foam and both latches are fully functional. These are classic synths that are still being used in music today."

AN UNEXPECTED PATH FORWARD
Labyrinth introduces a classic West Coast sound into the Mother Ecosystem experience rich analog synthesizer history in both surprising and recognizable sonic textures. Two generative sequencers bring to life sounds that bloom over time, letting you control their evolution and scale, then play them off of each other for striking polymetric melodies.
With parallel analog signal paths, this adventurous instrument shines when adding color to the steady backdrop of a drum pattern or bassline.
GENERATIVE SEQUENCER
The beating heart of Labyrinth is a robust dual sequencer, which uses chance calculations to generate two unique eight-step paths which twist and curve around one another.
SONIC WANDERING
A parallel voice processing path with a voltage-controlled blending allows you to morph sounds over time.
VOLTAGE-CONTROLLED WAVEFOLDER
A fresh interpretation of the Moog sound via a voltage-controlled wavefolder. Two oscillators drive duophonic melodic counterpoints, metallic FM tones, and analog synthetic drums.

The heart of the Labyrinth is the sequencer section. A dual 8-step sequencer gives you interactive quantized melodies that can affect various parameters, based on the labeled trimmers. These sequencers send out both notes CV and triggers and with a Trig Mix you can get rhythmic interplay that is quite satisfying. Each sequencer has a Length settings and a Bit Shift when adjusts the position of activated steps. The Bit Flip and Corrupt parameters present gives you more randomness and serendipity allowing you to create evolving patterns.
As with all of their semi-modular synths, Moog gives you access to 32 patch point patchbay with 12 outputs and 20 inputs. This gives you the option to self-patch and integrate it into your existing Eurorack ecosystem. Moog's Labyrinth is the perfect expansion to your existing system or a great starting point as an entry to modular synthesis, especially for those who are looking to get expressive rhythmic patterns quickly.

One of my favorite songs from the 80s.
Radio Ga Ga by Queen from the album The Works (1984)
Written by Roger Taylor
featured the Oberheim OB-Xa, the Oberheim Matrix-1000, the Oberheim Xk, the Yamaha Reface CP and the PPG wave 2.2 (in the original song is the bassline made with the Roland Jupiter-8 arpeggiator)
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers."
