The Rarest Guitar Effect Ever: EMS Synthi Hi-Fli
video upload by foleytronics fx repair
"Here we have one of 350 EMS Synthi Hi-Fli multi-effects boxes; this one showed up with a very loud buzz and, after figuring that out, no audible suboctave. It is now working perfectly and oh so much fun to play with, as you can tell by the look on Dan's face in this video and thumbnail.
We also made use of Brandt's TC Electronic 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay, which are amazing for adding depth and width to any signal."
PlantsSystem-DancingSequencer

"For this song 'DancingSequencer', the synthesizers used were iceGear Instruments Lagrange, Lorentz, and Laplace.
The sequencer used was the KAWAI Q80.
Effector is Roland SDE-2000."
Mandrake - Kick Drum Synthesizer by Malstrom
video upload by MATTHS
"A kick drum lays down the foundation of your track, the root of your beat. You need the low end to create a pumping motion and the high end to cut through the mix. All this while maintaining spectral room for other sounds. So it can be quite an undertaking to get right.
Which is why we developed Mandrake. A kick drum synthesizer that targets kick drum sounds for Dance, House and Techno music. Inspired by physical models, DAW drum synthesis and sound mixing techniques. It divides the sound into a 'Hit' and 'Body', with sound shaping possibilities for both sections.
Mandrake is not another 808 or 909 clone; its analog circuitry is entirely built from scratch to create an original sound. Also nothing more than a great kick; ranges to get into detail, and useful kick drum sounds throughout its settings!
FEATURES
'Hit' and 'Body' sections to sculpt the most important parts of a kick drum.
Hit-timbre and Hit-volume controls to shape sound of the transient.
Body saturation, resonance, decay and damping controls provide a varied sound palette.
Clear pitch control section that is carefully scaled to match a kick drum.
Two VCA shapes that provide different flavours.
Ducking or normal Envelope output to further sculpt and modulate.
Accent or VCA CV input switch to match your sequencing method.
Clean-up switch to remove rumble and decrease 'boxiness'."

Novation Summit Factory Trumpet Patch
video upload by Home Studio Improvement
"Improvising some sultry jazz trumpet using the Novation Summit Factory Trumpet Patch"
Mod FM D Gets a Proper Desktop Case
You might remember the stand alone eurorack desktop version with wood side panels previously posted here.
via Jomox:

Now the almost identical product is being released as a desktop device with its own power supply, MIDI, standard 6.3mm balanced outputs and analog volume control.
The Mod FM D even has an analog side chain stereo input, via which external signals can be fed into the effects of the Mod FM D and mixed with the synth.
The ratio of synth+input/effect can also be continuously adjusted analog using a potentiometer.
The Mod FM D is a complete 8-voice FM synthesizer in desktop format that promises enormously powerful sounds out-of-the-box without sacrificing the usual CV modulation options.
It has 4 operators and 2 LFOs/VCOs per voice. In addition, it has 2 analog filters and analog VCAs per voice, which give the Mod FM D analog depth and warmth, although the FM engine is of course digital.
Each voice has its own CV/Gate inputs and an individual output. There is a stereo mix-out on which the even and odd voices are distributed, and on which internal effects such as delay and reverb can be mixed.
In addition to the CV/Gate control, the Mod FM D has MIDI In and Out and a USB C connection that also processes MIDI.
This allows you to create extremely good and metallic-sounding FM sounds, crisp basses, but also soft and deep-sounding analog sounds and all kinds of crazy stuff without much effort.
In addition, the Mod FM D also offers numerous external CV modulations, for example to modulate each operator individually or to control the FM envelopes.
The Mod FM D is also fully multi-timbral, i.e. each voice can have its own sound in Multi Mode, which is also saved as such in the Multi Set. This brings us to the biggest advantage of the hybrid approach:
Analog and modular can become a trap with complex sounds, and FM is complex per se, because you can never get the same great sound from before exactly the same way. The ability to save helps here.

How to make a modular polysynth in 62HP: Suggested Systems 8
video upload by mylarmelodies
"In this tutorial/demo I'm going to patch a tiny but 'true' 4 voice modular polysynth step-by-step from scratch, tune it, make it stereo, animate and pan it to bring it to life. I'll also show how to do a paraphonic modular patch (two ways!) and create a bonus Polymoog-style resonator to finish. This one features Vostok Modules who sponsored this video and sent gear I could use! I wanted to see if I could squeeze a 'true' modular polysynth into the Intellijel Palette 62HP case. Turns out, you can."

"'Stroboscope' for Roland JD-800 / JD-08 / JD-990 / JD-800 VST is a collection of 64 expertly designed presets inspired by the iconic sounds of the 90s.
Buy: https://lfo.sellfy.store/p/roland-jd-...
The bank includes lush, atmospheric pads, energetic leads, powerful basses, and dance-ready chord sounds and rave stabs that will take you back to the golden era of electronic music.
Perfect for those looking to add a retro vibe to their productions while maintaining modern sound quality. This patch bank unlocks the full potential of the JD series synthesizers, offering both classic sounds and fresh interpretations of familiar tones.
The bank was initially created for the Roland JD-800 VST and then converted to other formats using JD Tools software by Saga Musix.
We made every effort to carefully edit the converted sounds on the original hardware synthesizers, but due to differences between the software and hardware, the sounds may not be 100% identical.

Digitakt, microcosm | still. | live ambient performance
video upload by patchesinblue
"still.
this video is a live performance of ‘still.’, a track that i’ve been working on in the studio for a while. the full version is a work in progress, but it’s shaping up to be a piece that will make its way onto an EP.
playing it live feels emotionally different from the studio version, but i think both capture what i’ve wanted to express.
‘still.’ is a reflection on how some feelings & memories have their way of staying with us, no matter how much time passes—like old photographs tucked away in a book you forgot to finish reading, only to resurface with all their colors intact and unchanged; they've been persisting quietly in the background.
musically, 'still.' is built around a single melodic phrase that repeats and layers upon itself, shifting and evolving slightly with each repetition. each line comes from one of the eight voices on the digitakt. the morphagene starts the line initially and then goes on to morph into other ideas as the piece progresses. these overlapping lines blur together, creating a sound that feels full yet indistinct, much like how memories work over time. as time goes by, we revisit the same moments again and again, but each time the details shift, overlap, and blend, forming a kind of collage—an imprint of a time long gone, yet somehow always familiar. i hope you enjoy listening to it.
i want to take a moment to thank everyone who’s been here with me supporting my work—whether you’ve been listening from the beginning or just discovered it, i’m truly grateful for the time you take to engage with my music.
on a personal note, i’m looking for opportunities where my music can be a good fit, so if you or someone you know is looking for original music for a project, please feel free to reach out to me. thank you.
i'm @patchesinblue on bandcamp, instagram and yt"
HOME BAKE INSTRUMENTS ARPS Arpeggio Sound Generator
ARPS DEMO video upload by HOME BAKE INSTRUMENTS

via Home Bake Instruments
ARPS is a synthesizer module that creates fantastic sounds from scale arpeggios.
The combination of four oscillators, a chaotic note generator, and an envelope creates
infinitely beautiful phrases.
Controls:
CLOCK
Set the frequency ofnotes.
ROOT
Sets the base note of the scale output by the Note Generator.
SCALE
Sets the scale scale output by the Note Generator.
RANGE
Sets the width (upper limit) of the scale output by the Note Generator.
WAVETABLE
More than 200 waveforms are recorded, and these can be smoothly changed.
ENVELOPE
Set the envelope attack and release percentages.
If you turn it all the way to the left, it will change to an arpeggio sound, and if you turn it to the right, it will change to a reverse sound with a gentle attack.
If the frequency of CLOCK is high, it should be set to an appropriate value.
TRG Jack
When a signal enters the TRG jack, the clock generator integrates its own signal
with the input signal and outputs it.

"This Prophet VS is is good condition and sounds wonderful.
Because this is an old vintage synthesizer, I want to note a few things to be as transparent as possible related to its condition:
The internal power supply seems to give some vibration off. You can hear a very slight audible hum, and can feel a slight buzzing on the left side of the keyboard when your hands are on the keys. A replacement power supply would probably be a good idea at some point. But all in all the power works just fine otherwise.
The buttons all work, but sometimes a couple of them seem to press twice when you press once, or you need to press twice to press once. This seems fairly normal for a synth this age. I'd recommend either cleaning or replacing some of them as needed, but they are still very much usable as-is.
The LCD is original and the backlight is still bright.
The aftertouch does not work. I believe this is a common problem and would need to be addressed if you want to use aftertouch.
Firmware is 1.0. There are a few different options for upgrades to firmware. This version:
v1.0 - Has Diagnostic features and free-running LFO's
All voices work, filter, chorus, voice panning, detune, modulation, splits, doubles, the joystick, buttons, data slider, LCD, volume, balance, storing, s&h, mod wheel, pitch wheel, both L/R audio outputs, and MIDI in and out. I have not tested the cartridge port or foot switch ports."

Sir Serge
video upload by Memetune Studio
"A self-generating Cybersysnthesis patch on the mighty Serge Modular
The patch is: 2 cross-modulating VCOs being sequenced by a combination of 2 sequencers set at 8 steps and 27 steps, which feed an 8-step Gated Comparator. This goes into a Quantizer. The clocks are being modded by sequencer outputs and random signals. There's VC delay and reverb too. It all goes into the VC stereo mixer which is being modded by the sequencers to give panning variation. Arise, SIR SERGE!"
Molten Bypass | By Molten Modular and Befaco
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"I really love it when the YouTube creators work together with manufacturers to realize modules we may all need, but can't get. Following in DivKid's footsteps, Robin from Molten Modular now presents his second Befaco collab after the Motion Meter. The Bypass is - you may have guessed it - a 'detour' circuit. Typical usage is hard-switching between a dry sound and an FX chain. It seems a bit similar to send/return, but the Bypass opens and closes an entirely different path. It's more like an insert/return, with a Launch button to open and close it (also CV controlled). When the Launch is set to 'soft', the return remains engaged, and only the insert goes on/off.
Even though on paper it's a simple utility with four ins and four outs, it opens up a lot of possibilities which are relatively simple to patch with separates, but you may need a switch matrix or something much bigger than just 4HP.
00:00 Less hard
00:43 Hard vs Soft switching
02:13 Rhythmic CV injection
02:55 Typical usage of FX insert/return
03:52 Feedback patching made 'less hard'."
