AHNE 2013 - Saturday May 4 - Awesome Packrat Flyer
via The Packrat on Facebook
"Packrat Facebook fans get first dibs on the ANHE announcement for 2013... Analog Heaven Northeast on Saturday, "May the Fourth" at the 119 Gallery in Lowell, MA. Bring fun analog gear, a stand, headphones, a $10 donation for the gallery, and a bucket for all the drool. Or just bring the donation and bucket... your call! I'll be there with books!"
For those attending the MMTA SYNTHFEST in Seattle, there's a slight chance there will be a few copies for sale there as well.
And for those that can't make either event, you can find the book here.

A dizzying journey through a room full of priceless synthesizers - AHNE 2011
YouTube Uploaded by hamsterdunce on Apr 18, 2011
"More music on umop.com! Background music: "O Face" by Parallax.
Get a look inside Analog Heaven Northeast 2011, an annual meetup for synth enthusiasts on the East Coast. Every year we bring a selection of irreplaceable electronic gewgaws from our respective music studios (you can spot my Customsynth Rolands in there somewhere) for each other to admire. Great turnout this year! We even had a visit from the God of Catsynth, apparently."
See this site for the ARP cat. It's what you see when you die. Well, for synth heads that is.

Some custom gear: Pro-One is what I'm guessing is a Synthwood case. Custom white JX-3P and JD-800 which I'm guessing are Dave's of umop.com, done by customsynth.co.uk. Note the yellow EMS SYNTHI-E. Red MacBeth M5N.

iMKS-50 v1.2 Wireless iPad Editor Now Available & iControlMIDI at AHNE
"Apple has released iMKS-50 v1.2 for Roland MKS-50, Juno-1 and Juno-2, a free upgrade for all iMKS-50 V1.1 users.
iMKS-50 v1.2 offers:
- a redesigned look & feel for enhanced readability plus some very tiny UI adjustments to make the workflow even better
- parameter default value buttons. In v1.2, if you touch the parameter value label, it resets the label / slider to a default value (ex: VCO wave = Saw; VCF Freq = wide open, etc...) for each parameter... this is the fastest workflow you'll ever get in sound designing!"
"Also iControlMIDI will be participating to the AHNE event (http://www.alt-mode.com/ahne/2011/) in Lowell, MA on Saturday April 16th 2011 and will be bringing an iPad with the 15 iControlMIDI applications for anybody to try out:

AHNE 2010 from stretta on Vimeo.
"AHNE (analog heaven northeast) is the annual gathering of analog synthesizer enthusiasts around the Boston area. The event is a unique opportunity to touch and hear many unique, rare and beautiful instruments.
This video was captured using a Canon 5DmkII with the 100mm f/2.8 macro and 50mm f/1.4 lenses. Edited using After Effects.
The music is a short section from an as-yet-unreleased long-form composition realized entirely on a modular synthesizer. If you would like more information about this piece, please visit my blog at stretta.com."
